Always a Friday TH-cam highlight. Even though I scrap every single day, there is something oddly satisfying watching someone else go through the same lunacy. Keep it up my man.
I love how you explain and separate your metals very helpful and informative, you are very different in your approach to collecting scrap and appreciate your originality…keep on keeping on safely and may blessings continue to come to you 😊
I'm just barely starting out in My own scrapping and even picked bottle recycling via a RVM, but even before I found this channel I was picking litter of the streers and throwing them in the municipal bins whenever I was out walking to stores etc and just generally leaving things better than I found it! So thank you Thub, for all the entertainment I'm most definitely going to keep doing the thing!!
I'm seeing them with over 300K miles on them now. My daughter's 05 is over 200k and going just fine . Gotta get under them with rust prevent treatment tho or the drive train will outlast the under cartridge. Great little scraping car for sure😊👍
I thinks it’s funny every time you say something wouldn’t be fun/interesting to watch it’s literally the content I love. Don’t get me wrong I love your channel and content but I love the real time getting stuff done videos.
Thank you for saying! When it comes down to it I’m just making a guess as to what to cut and what to share, I’m *probably* not wrong in thinking most people prefer the sped through version but I’m happy to know there are people that just like to hang out and see what’s going on 😁
Hi when you break something and don't want a mess, wrap a cloth around it. I found some trims in a skip 5 of them thinking they were aluminum as they were 10 feet each i thought thats why they are heavy. So i cut to smaller size turned out to be brass. It amazes me that ppl throw away good stock.
Hey... those big chunks of brass with a big center holes and wires sticking out where thermal couplers, they would typically be used in plastic extrusion machines to heat the barrel that the plastic slowly gets augered through and comes out a pliable goo.
Hey thub my names Jaden I’m 11 and I have been scrapping for about a year now took my first load of scrap in A few weeks ago and a took in acrs batteries copper and copper tubing and cast aluminum what tips can you give me
Not sure if you've seen the magnets with the handles at princess auto, etc. It pulls the magnet away from the body dropping everything you've picked up. Really nice for seperating screws, nails etc quickly. Always love to see a new vid drop!!
I just turned in my first load of copper and brass. They hold the metal for 3 days before they pay you. It's crazy. I thought it was same day pay and cash but nope in 3 days you come back and they write you a check. Crazy! I'm over it lol
Probably the law and I'm afraid you're going to see more of it. Crack heads steeling EV charging cables now. Don't know how they didn't see that coming but whatever.
I imagine they consider the cylinders as “oversized” because of all the dead space they take up, i.e., all the empty interior volume. That’s the only reason I can think of, anyway.
Can I ask about cans and bottles please would old cans from before the deposit scheme introduced still work ? Do crushed cans still work? And the same with the bottles ? Many thanks in anticipation of some replies ? Great content btw “trash panda”
I love the videos keep making them. I have a question though why don't you ever fire up the wood burning stove. I know how cold it gets there seems like you would like to warm. Anyway thanks.
Those cylinders were clean oversized? What the hell is that lol I’ve never heard of it in my years… i was concerned about them complaining about contamination etc. depending on what they previously contained and not taking them.
I don't get that many cylinders... Propane tanks yes.... The yards all say no, but if they are cut in half, then they are all about it..... No problem.... Now, I know, that was a lotta tanks.... I feel like it's worth it.... I don't find that many? So, it's not a big deal? I dunno... they were all aluminum you say?? I'd be cutting those in half, if it was me.... Anyways great job.
Grinder would be a mistake, recip saw with a good carbide blade would have paid for itself and then some more no doubt... point being, there shouldn't be any surprise here. Someone is going to have to do the cutting. @@vincedibona4687
What’s an “ass bulldozer”? Never heard of that. Or you could leave out the useless and confusing word. “You can take whole bulldozers to places here.” See? Says the same thing sans useless and confusing words. 👍🏻
Do you have to pay taxes over the scrap metal money you made? I'm from the Netherlands and looked for copper, zinc, aluminium and lead. Over a period I made some money but the metal company wants your data and informs the government. Got a "nice" tax bill as a result. Do any of you guys have the same issue?

I think the same...I spend all day scrapping..then watch people scrap online.
Right here with ya!
Got three truck loads done today, come home made dinner while watching Drake sorting scrap…..that’s a good day.
Always fun to watch someone sort scrap smalls while sorting your own scrap smalls! Snowy days and catch em all buckets CheeRs Brother great video!

Watching thub scrap while I sit in the heat and my scrap pile sits in the cold ass garage 😂
Something about winter that just takes most of the fun out of it eh?
That sonic crack was pretty funny😂
Every time you try to apply force to your vice and it moves, I die a little more inside every time.

Oh, man, you said Sonic and I immediately heard that collecting rings sound in my head. Ha, fun memories.
Chemical plant zone music is currently looping in my head lol

Hi there, the filter thingy from Perkin is actually a gas purifier for Gas Chromatography. Pretty cool find!

So does putting the magnet in a plastic cup. 😉
Thanks thub. Play safe
Those rings are ring gaskets. They usually have the material stamped on them. Quite often they are 316 stainless
I do wish mine were, I checked quite a few and none were stamped
Those cylinders add up
Winter time sucks for scrapping,.
Good Job bro 👍
Great content. How often do you get a nail or chunk of metal in your tires at the scrap yard?

Any idea what those bolts are worth?Probably more then all the scrap.
If you cut the cylinders in half, would you have gotten more money?
How can you differentiate between 306 and 314 stainless steel?
One is slightly magnetic, the other isn’t at all.
Yay more scavenging!🎉
I've tried to take cylinders in before and everyone offered me sheet aluminum price for them. Don't know why but I guess that's how they're bought?
Those rings are bearing races.
Nope.

Hi what if you had cut the cylinder in half would u have got more?
I almost certainly would have yes
A good bandsaw would be nice for that.
@@thubprint could you melt them?
@@whiggy6976 you certainly could! It’s 500lbs though, it would take a lot of time and fuel to get through it all
Yeah bells, if you cut them and paint them they would look like a Tibetan gong…probably get $50 per from bougie housewives! 🤣
God bless 🙏🏼🇺🇸🇨🇦🇮🇱
Everyone takes cylinders, just half to cut them in half? Sounds like you could have doubled your money on them?
Did you see how many he had? He’d kill his grinders trying that, you’d need a dedicated metal bandsaw.

They have to be cut down to size for shipping so they can't give you top dollar for it if it needs more attention. 😊
