thanks! i got the answer i needed. It fits the case even with the skull co grip attached, I recently got the grip case and my original steam deck case wont close haha
I have the same skull and co grip and case.. Just a warning, due to the power button protruding on the grip, it will accidentally turn your deck on when it's stored in the case.. It happened to mine a lot, I thought it was my deck at first.. until I had a closer look, turns out the flap on the case pushes against the power button.. So I just cut the power button off the grip, yes it's a bit more difficult to turn on now. But at least my deck doesn't accidentally turn on and get very hot, due to the suffocation of the vents.
just bought mine EDC skull n co case with the skull n co grip case on it with no problem. what i did was i kind of pull slightly the flap since i found out that upon unboxing, it's kinda folded slightly so my deck could not fit, only to find out you have to pull it slightly and i did not close the strap that tightly so that it's kinda slightly loose on the flap and check if the power button will obstruct the flap, happy that it doesn't obstruct it. now i can put a different skull n co grips on it
but wait.. when you say you cut the rubber button on the case because of accidentally turn on your deck once stored.. are you referring to the jsaux mod case? since it potrudes. or are you referring to the skull n co itself since it is quite flushed
@@ninongvaper2969 I cut the Button off of the skull and co case. Mine was protruding slightly (like the volume buttons), which made it easy enough to be turned on accidentally.
@@mickw1523 did you tightly close the the flap or kinda loosen it because as i have observe it can indeed push the button accidentally if you tightly close it. but if i did not fully tighten the flap like leave some allowance in their it will not going to bump the power button
How do you feel about the skull and co back buttons now? Did your gameplay experience improve because of it? Planning to buy one because pressing the back buttons are hard especially with the case on.
Thanks for the review! I bought the maxcarry version for the travel case, and kinda regretted it. It was too big to fit in my bag and the extra space wasn't enough to fit in the charger. So pretty much waste of extra cash and space. Also the gripcase actually looked nice. I bought Mumba armor case and ended up not liking it due to its weight and lack of grip. Now kinda torn if I should buy the slimmer travel case and grip case or just stick with what I have
When I'm traveling, my first pic is the jsaux gripcase with front cover. Its well protected and less bulky that having a carrying case. The max carry case is more like a EDC for me. The compartment is just enough for smaller accessories. Charge, cables, dock, and etc. I hope you find something that will work for you. I understand the struggle when it comes to picking the best accessories.
Hi, would you mind sharing your opinion on the skull & co grip case vs jsaux mod case? i'm debating between the two. which do you find more comfortable for extended use?
No, i don't have those yet. I bought all my stuff with my own money. Lol, I still work full-time job. I love skull and co specially for my switch. I have collected some accessories from skull n co. It's just durable and comfy for my own opinion.
@kerbalette156 lol it will be awesome if they sponsor my videos so I can get free stuff. Lol but yea skull n co is my go-to when it comes to accessories.

I'm here for the same exact reason xD

I will keep that in mind. Thank you.
So far, so good for me. But thank you for the information.

will this case fit a standart thumb stick grips from Aliexpress?
@kfir26 as long as its not too high. Im using the lowest I thumb grips I have for my stram deck.
How the back button until now ?? Stand well or it move ?
The button still there.. no problem at all. It's actually well designed accessory for steamdeck
I will probably update videos for my steamdeck accessories. I've been switching my grip cases.

@akustus1860 its way easier to press the back buttons. Definitely improves the game play, in my opinion. It's worth it.
@@raybca thanks! Definitely going to order it!
@@akustus1860 happy to help. Let me know if you have more questions. Thanks

Hi, would you mind sharing your opinion on the skull & co grip case vs jsaux mod case? i'm debating between the two. which do you find more comfortable for extended use?
Hi. I was wondering if the skull and co protective case fits in the official carrying case ?
It doesn't. But there is a bit of pressure when closing it.
Does the steam deck with skull&co grip fit in the edc case with the skull&co Thumb joystick grips on?
Yes but I don't recommend using the extended grip.. just use the regular thumb grip
Will the jsaux modcase with cover fit inside the carrying case?
Yes, without the front plate cover. It will fit perfectly
is the skull and co case less thicker than the stock case?
The original case is slightly thicker.. part 2 video i have a quick size comparison.
Hi does the steam deck fit in the edc case with the tallest joystick grips on? It won't fit in the official steam deck case
I dont recommend the tallest thumbgrips when there's not enough space for it. It might damage your joystick.
Does the grip case fit on the JSAUX dock?
I dont have a jsaux dock. I dont have a way to test it
What skin do you have on your deck?
DBRAND triple black
is this slimmer than original oled carrying case?
Bit slimmer, but not much. I like this one better because it fits better if you have a grip case attached to your steamdeck.
You can see the size difference if you watch part 2 of the video if you skip to 09:30.
Do you know if the case will fit the nintendo switch with the hori split pad pro?
I dont have a hori split pad to test it. But there are a lot of cases that are made for hori split pad.
I want a hard plastic super slim case (soft inside).
Which case?
@@raybca e.g. TOMTOC STEAM DECK ARMOR HARD CASE
@segbed oh ok.. thats actually looks good.
