The eye contact between Josh and Travis at 1:27 is priceless... It's like they rehearsed that stop 7 times before hand and were really worried about nailing it... Awesome.
+Zac Miller i was literally just thinking that. Josh is like that little kid that meets his idols and then gets to play a game with them. He couldn't stop smiling if he wanted.
I kinda feel him. Sometimes I just break out in a huge grin when I'm playing music with other people. especially if it sounds good. You just can't help but smile and think "wow this is fucking awesome and I'm part of it!". We all have a bit of Josh in us :)
Still so awesome to see Josh back in the mix, sometimes you don't appreciate what you have till it's gone and just happy for him to have this chance again, he really brings a lot to coheed.. and super duper Cooper is a great addition lol he looks so lonely in the corner by himself tho, poor guy
@@milkmeapollo9048 Wow that is not awfully rude but wrong. Travis in many interviews shows how much he adores playing with coheed, just because his playing face isnt as hype as josh doesnt mean he isnt jamming

Ghost.Flowers But it's like being in the venue playing he just looks lost. He could've been having an off day on the day of my show and it's not that his playing was bad at all but he just did not look happy at all through the whole event like this video. I could be wrong but I'd think that if he truly just wanted to play he would be able to concentrate on that but he just looked drained.
It's wonderful to see that Josh is doing so well now. He's lost so much weight and he looks so happy in everything I've seen him do since he's been back.
not gonna lie the buzz sessions and the nervous energy sessions might be my favorite of all time acoustic songs. Josh is as happy as hell he's back with claudio and stever ive saw him before and he didnt have the vibe he does now. keep up the good work guys. hoping to see another novel sometime soon im not a reader but i read yotbr 4 times catching parts that i missed the first time.
I remember when I got into Coheed. I listened to a lot of their music and fell in love with them. I read a lot of comics too, and knowing that they write comics that somewhat goes along with the music is even more epic. But, start on which ever album you want to. Personally I like listening to them from the beginning of their musical career and seeing how their music has evolved. But in their case, their isn't a huge difference, still awesome Coheed. But enjoy which ever path you choose.
I remember hearing Blood Red Summer on the music disc that came with the Psp, and that's how I heard them growing up. It wasn't until No World for Tomorrow that I truly got into them. Been there ever since too.
I'm so glad you asked.... Second Stage Turbine Blade, No World For Tommorrow, Afterman Ascension and Dissension, Anything by their old name (Shabutie), and go on from there. My favorites are anything from mothers of men, afterman, number city, K.E.E. Sentry the Defiant, and Time Consumer! Have fun!
anywhere my friend. I personally think all their albums are great. I was introduced to Coheed when Good Apollo 4 came out. A lot of great songs on that album as well.
To everyone saying "Listen to them from the beginning" remember.. John has never heard Coheed before. The "beginning" to us means Second Stage, but to him the beginning could mean The Afterman. John, the story starts with (in STORY order): The Afterman Ascension and Descension, Year of the Black Rainbow, Second Stage Turbine Blade, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV Volume 1: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness, GAIBSIV: No World for Tomorrow
Start at the very beginning; the intro to Second Stage is hauntingly beautiful. My most favorite is Good Apollo I (the third one) but do whatever you choose, sir. Thanks for choosing Coheed :)

Josh: Not a giver of fucks. But no, seriously, this is why I dig Coheed so much. Just look at them, they're all in love with what they do. Even Travis, Mr. Super Duper Seriousness over there.

Claudio is amazing at everything. I think he's keeping a secret...like he burns the toast all the time.
GHOSTMUSICTV lol
I think you're onto something
While this is one of my favorite Afterman songs, it also has to be one of my absolute favorites to hear acoustically. Just beautiful.
I fucking love Josh
If Coheed did an acoustic album I'd buy the shit out of that
I love the difference between Travis and Josh. Travis is trying so hard to be stoic and hard and Josh is just having literally the time of his life.

No one puts so much emotion into songs like Claudio. This is one of the reasons Coheed is on another level.

:) I'm glad I'm not the only one who recognized that.
Chicka chick gah. I love this... but let us not forget Michael robert todd. I love this Band ..and Wes styles.
I'm glad to see josh back. He brings a lot of energy and character back to the band.
Who here is just discovering this band and finding all the gold they come out with
I love this band so much.
I'm 29 and been listening for literally 16 years. This is an important band that should be remembered. HOF!
Best band there is!!! Cannot believe how well this works acoustically. Saw them a week ago and not one dodgy note.
Listen to everything, Simply
Josh always looks like he's having such a great time! Definitely the life of the party. Such a delight! :)
Amazing how into it Josh can be with just a shaker and a tambourine. Such a great musician on and off the kit.
Claudio is rockin some freakin CHOPS, man.
josh is right on the cusp of full out jam mode
Love it guys!!!! Love talent n ' passion! the moment!!!!
The intro gives off a Thin Lizzy type chorus lol, but nevertheless, a great CC track. These guys are my high school heroes ❤️❤️
I think parts of it are a tribute to the Cowboy song.

As a drummer i can tell you this is just how acoustic sets are. We get DOWN with the egg and tambos. People dont think it be like that but it do.

Dude I own the same beany as Travis. SICK!
I'm pretty sure he himself is Coheed's biggest fan, which is absolutely fine :)

Their first album Second stage all of their albums tell a story together so that is the only place to start.
Josh is awesome ^_^
Travis is perma-2005 and I love it.

When a girl yanked on the strings to break this man's heart
Oh lord I think I deserve a little better than this
I think I've earned it

Turn me over, roll me 'round
To find the truth that I don't want found
Oh, don't believe everything you hear
I'm the snake waiting for you, dear
And eventually you'll come to me
I know you will
Oh, I know you will
You're lipstick crazy, I'll make my pass
The drink turns over, the glass smashed
And with a kindness and my smarts I replaced your pleasure
With a friend at the bottom
Turn me over, roll me 'round
To find the truth that I don't want found
Oh, don't believe everything you hear
I'm the snake waiting for you, dear
And eventually you'll come to me
I know you will
Oh, it's my fate to be your biggest mistake
Oh, I tell you all you want to hear until you sleep
I know you will
Oh, goodnight
Oh, goodnight, fair lady
Oh, turn me over, roll me 'round
To find the truth that I don't want found
Oh, don't believe everything you hear
I'm the snake waiting for you, dear
And eventually you'll come to me
And eventually you'll come to me
Oh, we can agree to disagree
Well maybe that was you, then, and now this is me
Eventually you'll come to me, baby
I know you will
That's pretty crazy they got Matthew Perry to play percussion 👏👏
