Just to confirm, I work at dsg where these vehicles are based overhauled, there are very few rivets actually on the vehicle, so they are probably not worth counting, chill out people!
Good review Paul - I can't agree with the earlier 'rivet counter' comment ... I don't recall any critical comments relating to the kit's accuracy(?!)...just an examination of the quality of the kit. Well done and thanks for putting it up.
Great review Paul. Just bought the kit. I seems a pretty shoddy affair to make such a printing error on the scale. Very poor. Will tell you how I get on with it.
Great review.. have just bought this kit on evilbay, and am looking forward to building it.. just wish it had 'rubber' tracks, but I guess you can't get it all.. ;)
Rob BasicModelling I hope you don't mind me asking have you built it yet and if so how was the fit and finish as I never buy airfix anymore due to some bad experiences with their fit. However I would like this kit as it's the only warrior in the correct scale for a diorama I'm making. Many thanks.
hi, just a wonderingment, im thinking of getting into model building (again) I would like to stick to one scale, im just not sure which, i think bigger than 1/72 though. i mostly want to build british military things, with a good compromise between size and details. would 1/48 be a good choice? and would you recommend sticking to a certain manufacture given that i just want one scale and only british vehicles an aircraft? if so can you recommend a good manufacturer for british military models? hope you dont mind me asking :)
I think air fix have a fairly good range of brittish modern 1/48th military vehicles so you may be best sticking to those, and yeah bigger than 1/72 is the way to go i prefer 1/35 myself.
How the hell am i a rivet counter are you taking the michael? Complaining about a "new tool" kit that has flash isn't rivet counting, its just being disappointed that the kit has flash, its brand new kit that shouldn't have any flash on it anywhere. Its not like i was complaining that the gun barrel was 2mm too long.
tend to agree with Mr Curran. I thought it was a tiny bit too much attention to flash detection. I have this kit - flash is limited to the sprues themselves and not to the actual physical parts themselves. I acknowledge that yes it may be a new tooling but to me a bit of flash on the sprues is less of an issue than on the parts themselves. But otherwise superb kit.
chillbillloz Your either seriously deluded, a troll or you just didn't watch the review properly, parts (yes parts not the sprue) of the kit have flash on, if you took the time to actual watch properly you would have seen that, now while a bit of flash here and there isn't really a problem, on a brand new tool kit theres no excuse for it,which was my point.
oh my days.Paul you come back at some one making a comment by calling them deluded or a troll!!! How dare you! I watched the video twice- i have the same kit as the one you have Guess what I have some tiny bits of flash on it? And? Deal with it move on. I've got brand new toolings of Tamiya Corsair with flash on it. You know I thought your channel was brill. In fact I support your colleagues concerns about all components in one bag I sent a email to Airfix - complaint reference HC13372 to voice my concerns. Ring them and quote. See what happens. I felt the whole video was like you were on a mission to find flash. But in stead of welcoming the comment or even thinking - 'wait a minute I ll do a master class on flash remedy' or 'ill comment on this direct to Airfix'(ps saved you the trouble I've sent an email- I'll send you the reference later as I cant find it ATTM. No - you come back with calling me a troll or deluded. Yep how to build your channel - insult a viewer. Well done.
Lmao, when your chatting rubbish they yeah i will insult you, i found flash on Parts not just sprues as you wrongly commented about first time round. When ever i review a kit I'm looking for flash, its a review. I'm looking for good and bad points, flash is a bad point even more so on a new kit.As too is the wrongly printed scale on the front of the instructions. What do you want a review to consist of "yeah its a brand new tool kit, theres flash on parts, never mind well done air fix on producing yet another perfect kit" How about air fix should sort things out so new kits are as good as other manufacturers. As for insulting a viewer, how about insulting the guy taking time to review kits and provide videos for free.... WELL DONE right back at you! Get your facts right before you comment and If you don't like my reviews, don't watch them.
Another Great, in-depth review - I really appreciate you and ISM taking the time, to put out these review videos.
Cheers buddy, they are our pleasure :)

Great and honest review Paul. Not too bad of a kit.
Odd about the instructions though. It's good that you caught that and pointed out the error.
Yeah i did for a moment think i had the wrong kit lol, cheers dude
Where can you find them as art prints because when ever I try and find a print of a piece I like I can't
Nice looking Bismarck in the corner at the start
You are an EXCELLENT TH-cam "Content Creator". Yeah, excellent job. Wonderful review, wonderful production quality. Keep it up! You impressed me.

I'm new to modelling what is flash??
Ryan Thomson its when little small bits of thin plastic are sticking out of a model piece and there isnt ment to be those little thin plastic bits
I want to buy this kit and put in my Afghanistan 1:48 scale diorama
Which includes a lynx AH7 some kind of military land rover and some troops
Too much of a rivet counter review. Seems to have some real fear of flash. Didn't make it sound enjoyable. Sorry just my opinion.
