ENA 11.5 (English)(Alexander & Sadiku). Example 11.9 & 11.10 || Practice Problem 11.9 & 11.10
Apparent power and its relation with rms voltage and current is explained. Power factor is discussed. examples solved.
Example 11.9: A series-connected load draws a current when the applied voltage is Find the apparent power and the power factor of the load. Determine the element values that form the series-connected load
Example 11.10: Determine the power factor of the entire circuit of Fig. 11.18 as seen
by the source. Calculate the average power delivered by the source.
Practice Problem 11.9: Obtain the power factor and the apparent power of a load whose
impedance is when the applied voltage is

All thanks belong to you sir. I did what you taught me in last 3 days ♥️. I'll pray for you
At 15:56 how do you know it leads, as in case of an inductor voltage would be leading in contrast to current. Does power factor only lead when the current angle comes before voltage?
Just in case you have any confusion about leading or lagging, just remember a girl name Linda. Linda represents L (inductor), she is also Current (dangerous), and has beautiful Legs(lags). So current lags the voltage in case of Inductor. For capacitor, it opposite i.e Current Leads Voltage.
Now in this case Current angle is +10 and voltage angle -20, so current leads voltage. Capacitor case. Power factor always leads in Capacitor.
Thanks sir
Very very much
Welcome Arora Jee. Best wishes.
Thanks 😍🤗
