As a Texan it makes me happy and proud to hear others talk about how great King of the Hill is. Aside from, and sometimes even including, some of the most insane stories on the show, everything else is representative of the real thing.

The thing is, they really didn’t want to go to the Oscars, so the question became “how do we go but not go”. So naturally, Matt and Trey modelled their clothing on outfits other celebrities had worn. It just so happened that the outfits were variations on women’s clothing. Trey wore a version of Jennifer Lopez’s 2000 Grammy’s dress and Matt wore a version of Gwyneth Paltrow’s 1999 Oscars dress. So now they had clothing but they were still going to the Oscars, their solution was acid. So right before the show they ate sugar cubes doused with LSD. Mission Accomplished.

They're not republicans or democrats. The whole thing of identifying as republicans has to do with their counter-culture attitude. When growing up in a very conservative area of Colorado, they identified as democrats. Their reason for doing so was that it was "punk". They went against what the standard views were in their area. Then, when they moved to L.A., they were surrounded by democrats so they now identified as republicans again because it was "punk". They'd be at parties and say things like, "President Bush is doing an amazing job isn't he?" and watch people lose their minds. At heart they're libertarian and don't really identify as being left or right. As they've said, "we hate conservatives but we really hate liberals".
I haven't watched in a while, but as I recall, American Dad started OK-ish but then just kept getting better after the 1st season. I still sing the theme song to myself :)
Fun fact about the first ever episode of South Park: You can tell it was done with paper and stop motion because there is one frame (during Chef's introduction, I believe) where someone messed up - you can see a hand moving the paper around, right in the middle of the screen.
With the Mohammed thing, I heard that the time they had to censor him, they were actively getting death threats from the Muslim community. Also, the running joke of Kenny dying every episode, in a DnD campaign I played, one of the guys legitimately died each of the first 3 sessions. So he became Kenny and the DM started actively killing him every session just as a running joke.

The American Dad hot tub musical with ceelo green is so good and anytime Steve sings is just amazing. I was blown away to find out that Scott grimes from the orville voices and sings for Steve. South Parks Chef Aid was such a good cd too I wore that thing out as a kid.

Since the show has been out of production for so long, there's no other reason to update the song other than the fact that fans at cons, to this day, love to hear it, so he wants it to be current & correct for them. I remember back when they were doing clay model videos, Now that's insanely hard to do, More or less you make clay models and you have a camera setup over the whole stage and you snap a picture then you move the clay model a millimeter or less and retake another picture and you keep doing that process until you have enough pictures the more or less flip book your way into a episode and then do the voice acting over top (That was like way back)

Not really. Most studios have an in house person that works for the censor board. Bob camp (Ren and stimpy) mentioned how he could sneak Jones in by just bombarding their censor with so many homes that some would make it through. That or he'd make jokes that she didn't understand were double entendres with other dirty jokes left in as bait.
Kinda funny you should say about Seth McFarlane probably wanting to do music, when it was Matt Stone who very much wanted to be a musician. In fact both Matt Stone and Trey Parker have music in their histories, with Trey Parker spending a semester at a music college before transferring into film and meeting Matt Stone. That's why they make so much music - the South Park movie is essentially a musical, as is Team America, and they released an album of songs alongside Season 2-3 of South Park off the back of Chef Aid, which saw Chocolate Salty Balls hit #1 in the UK. On top of all that, they actually have their own band called DVDA, though I'm fairly sure they won't have performed in many years.
In Australia the public channel SBS started airing episodes before they were big. When the show took off and the commercial channels wanted to take over offering lots of money for the rights Matt and Trey told them to F off and let SBS continue buying the episodes at the original price

The song has never been correct (naming a few provinces as countries and in some cases naming countries that haven't existed for 300 years). I hope no school would ever use it in geography class! EDIT: a few examples: Carribian isn't a country it's a region, when covering the countries in the UK it leaves out Wales, parts of the United States are listed separately (Puerto Rico for example...it may not have statehood but it's still as much a part of the US as California or New York), various territories that never declared independence are listed (Greenland, Borneo, Cayman Islands), cities are listed (Algiers, San Juan (which is in Puerto Rico which has already been incorrectly included)), and they included "Kampuchea" (the name the Khmer Rouge used for Cambodia from 1975 to 1979).
Curiously, in the Japanese dub for the country song (listing all the countries of the world), the Japanese voice actor is the voice actor for (Japanese) freiza from Dragon ball z. You can find a video on here of freiza 'singing' the song.
Boomhauer is not just saying gibberish which only characters in the show can understand. I own the King of the Hill DVDs and turned on subtitles by accident and was surprised to find out Boomhauer is saying coherent sentences that fit the conversations he's apart of.
I still love the fact that when it came to their game "the fractured but whole" they had apparently been asked to change it several times before and just kept making it worse and worse untill they got to "the fractured but whole" and I guess the censores were too scared or tired to argue anymore so that became the name.

They were very close to their six days air schedule at the time and to think they would work double time just to throw out an episodes worth of work then finish animating in just a couple days is laughable to say the least, not to mention the creators have spoken about this very topic

I used it in an animation class years ago back in an animation course I took in high school. :) Definitely pretty beginner friendly too.

I just re-watched the "wako sings every country" from Animanicas. In that song he goes to the effort of naming England and Scotland separately (doesn't call it "the UK") but leaves out Wales. I found that pretty funny.

They didn't have two episodes prepared. If you watch the commentary, Matt and Trey talk about how they considered making a backup episode in case McCain won, they only had time to make one episode, and they just happened to make a good guess.

The American Dad hot tub musical with ceelo green is so good and anytime Steve sings is just amazing. I was blown away to find out that Scott grimes from the orville voices and sings for Steve.
South Parks Chef Aid was such a good cd too I wore that thing out as a kid.
Not only can Rob Paulsen still do that song, but as the world's countries have changed since that episode, he's updated the song to match the current reality of the world, just for convention appearances! Since the show has been out of production for so long, there's no other reason to update the song other than the fact that fans at cons, to this day, love to hear it, so he wants it to be current & correct for them. What a guy!

Not really. Most studios have an in house person that works for the censor board. Bob camp (Ren and stimpy) mentioned how he could sneak Jones in by just bombarding their censor with so many homes that some would make it through. That or he'd make jokes that she didn't understand were double entendres with other dirty jokes left in as bait.
Kinda funny you should say about Seth McFarlane probably wanting to do music, when it was Matt Stone who very much wanted to be a musician. In fact both Matt Stone and Trey Parker have music in their histories, with Trey Parker spending a semester at a music college before transferring into film and meeting Matt Stone. That's why they make so much music - the South Park movie is essentially a musical, as is Team America, and they released an album of songs alongside Season 2-3 of South Park off the back of Chef Aid, which saw Chocolate Salty Balls hit #1 in the UK. On top of all that, they actually have their own band called DVDA, though I'm fairly sure they won't have performed in many years.

In Australia the public channel SBS started airing episodes before they were big. When the show took off and the commercial channels wanted to take over offering lots of money for the rights Matt and Trey told them to F off and let SBS continue buying the episodes at the original price

yakko's world by rob paulsen, gets updated whenever a country changes its name, because many schools use it for geography classes! also look up the Brain doing drunk orsen wells, recording voiceovers for commericals if you haven't seen it! a ''clean'' version made it into an animaniacs episode!!
The song has never been correct (naming a few provinces as countries and in some cases naming countries that haven't existed for 300 years). I hope no school would ever use it in geography class!
EDIT: a few examples: Carribian isn't a country it's a region, when covering the countries in the UK it leaves out Wales, parts of the United States are listed separately (Puerto Rico for example...it may not have statehood but it's still as much a part of the US as California or New York), various territories that never declared independence are listed (Greenland, Borneo, Cayman Islands), cities are listed (Algiers, San Juan (which is in Puerto Rico which has already been incorrectly included)), and they included "Kampuchea" (the name the Khmer Rouge used for Cambodia from 1975 to 1979).

Curiously, in the Japanese dub for the country song (listing all the countries of the world), the Japanese voice actor is the voice actor for (Japanese) freiza from Dragon ball z. You can find a video on here of freiza 'singing' the song.
Boomhauer is not just saying gibberish which only characters in the show can understand. I own the King of the Hill DVDs and turned on subtitles by accident and was surprised to find out Boomhauer is saying coherent sentences that fit the conversations he's apart of.
I still love the fact that when it came to their game "the fractured but whole" they had apparently been asked to change it several times before and just kept making it worse and worse untill they got to "the fractured but whole" and I guess the censores were too scared or tired to argue anymore so that became the name.
The Yakko Warner "Countries of the World" song is the greatest one-take scene ever.
Pity it's incorrect (even for it's time), listing some provinces as independent countries and calling some countries by their 17th century names.

There is also an updated version of the Yakko countries song where he got with the orginal songwriter and fully updated the song to include countries that exist as of 2018. And can still do it in one take

Imagine they make an AI that can make short snippets with minimal inputs, so they can make episodes about major events as they’re happening. Like imagine if there was a failed missile launch from North Korea and they’ve already released a snippet before its shot down.
The censored episode was around the time of the whole Charlie Hebdo thing.
There was no "back up" episode for Season 12 episode 12 or whatever it is you're suggesting, but It was a common rumor. They were very close to their six days air schedule at the time and to think they would work double time just to throw out an episodes worth of work then finish animating in just a couple days is laughable to say the least, not to mention the creators have spoken about this very topic
