Motorcycle Helmet Review 2022 with the ILM 902-Pro Modular helmet. When riding a motorcycle , your head is probably the most valuable asset. ILM provided me with this helmet so I could do a complete review. The bonus, they wanted me to be brutally honest in my review so they can make improvements to their helmet line. CORRECTION! The Net Weight of this Helmet is 3.15 LBS. I mentioned 5.5 lbs which is the weight of the helmet shipped.

I own an ILM Helmet ⛑ and it is my daily rider helmet, it is the most comfortable one of my three helmets. I also have an intercom setup attached but I don't use it at highway speeds over 65 mph, I have noticed that any helmet at highway speeds while trying to use regular speakers just won't cut it. So ear pods is definitely a better option. My final thoughts! I, love this helmet. Thank you for the video, it was well done. Ride safe but ride!!!!!😊

I've never heard of ilm.
But with that said, I have the same issue with the chin bar being to close. Being out on long road trip, the module is the helmet to have. 1. Weather 2. Heat or just to have a drink.

I have the Simpson Mod Bandit. At $550 it's more than double the ILM. They kinda look similar. But after crash testing my previous Mod Bandit there wasn't even a question about spending another $550 for a new one. Question, without using earbuds or the builtin Bluetooth, how does the road noise compare?
I used to wear half helmets a lot but since the accident I cave seem to put one on. I'll never wear anything but a full face on the highway again. Personal choice, not preaching.

I totally understand Dave. Wearing a full face is black far the safest way to go and after an experience like yours, I would feel the same. The road noise is not bad, minus the little squeak I can here with the wind. The ghost bandit is a louder helmet so I’m used to a noisy setup. Ride safe. 🤙🏻

Snell ratings just as irrelevant as DOT. Research it. The European standard is relevant. Very few low cost helmits have it as it is tough test to pass with cheap materials.
