@Bogdanmeoff I didn't say the citizens lmao. I said the government, and secondly I didn't say apologize, I said acknowledge.
Colonialism was a net gain? The borders were construed in such a way as to weaken the nations, look at Nigeria for a clear example of this.
There's also history of Developed nations actively sabotaging African nations post colonialism. They have more to gain with the continent poor
thirdly, in Africa or other developing nations, carbon emissions are a symptom, not a problem. Most of the citizens literally cannot afford to be environmentally conscious

I suspect the European logic is even simpler: By giving northern Africa a marshal plan for green energy they can limit new greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere (An explicit EU goal of which they seem very serious about). This would of course have the added benefit of creating a new big market for green technologies which the EU have to develop in order to reach their climate change goals. If it ends up working this way, it would be big for the EU. This might be a chess move similar to what the Americans did after ww2 where they turned Europe into their consumers via the marshal plan

The problem of Europe is that it does not want to work with Africa as a partner, but rather deals with it as a teacher with its pupil, and this is the reason why Africa has turned to other allies such as America or China.
Western leaders also do not stop supporting coups in countries that do not follow their whims, which led to the growth of Russia's influence in Africa by providing protection to some African leaders.

Africa has made more progress quickly in terms of infrastructure the last 10-15 years that decades prior. i understand China's motives but if your people need a road or a bridge, it doesn't matter who builds it. China doesn't build a road where the people need it, they build it where China needs a road (i.e. to a mine, a port, to get resources out). Occasionally they build an extra road as a sign of goodwill. Still, in the end you receive a road worth 10 million dollar, and China pulls out 500 million in resources. It's a short-term benefit, but a long-term serious loss. It only happens because apart from that 10 million dollar road, China also sends 5 million in bribes to the president and his friends.

Pick up your cross and follow Jesus! The world is quickly headed for destruction, and sooner or later you will have to sit at the judgement seat and give an account for your actions. Belief in messiah alone is not enough to grant you salvation - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36). Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life! - Revelation 3:20.
Contemplate how the Roman Empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years going back to Babylon and before, C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate once you start a relationship with God tho.
Can't get a response from God? Fasting can help increase your perception and prayer can help initiate events. God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's, Wendy's etc) stop glorifying yourself on social media or making other images of yourself (Second Commandment), stop gossiping about other people, stop watching obscene content etc and you should get a response. Have a blessed day!

I think it's fair to say no country or bloc of nations is "real friends" with any other. The focus on Africa is only borne of self interest, and China is no different. China doesn't yet have the history of exploiting Africa that Europe does, but give it a decade or two and something tells me they will unfortunately be on par with one another.

That is why china is winning they are doing what they government of the people would never do for them (roads, railways, electricity, hospital) if europe wants to win they should support and actual democratic politicians who want real change, arrest and prosecute the ones that the people hate (Buhari, musevani, tinubu) and I promise the Chinese won't have a chance

Europe has far less mineral wealth so a wealthy Africa with capacity to transit goods to Europe is a win/win for both sides. All developed nations should come together to build everything Africa needs in one build so it is far cheaper. And instead of building a tunnel just from trains their should be one for trains and vehicles under the Gibraltar Strait.

Investing in green energy in Africa is very beneficial for Europe as we have seen trough the recent war we need to get past our need of fossil fuels and in Africa solar power can work to its fullest potential. The investment isn´t just to tap into their market but to secure energy and stabilize Africa which is easier to stabilize than Russia, in order to gain a reliable source of energy. Especially since Africa has all the resources. It has cheap labor, a ton of silicium not to mention a lot of daylight and sun for the solar panels to do their thing. I think this is the beginning of Europe moving from Russia as its provider of resources to african countries which they really should have done long ago.

  • @in4ser

If you look at official Chinese policy, it is to welcome all investment into Africa, regardless of being local, Chinese or Western. The money and resources that go there the faster and wealthier Africans become allowing them to be consumers of goods and services, especially of Chinese ones. Moreover, Green investment is good for the climate change which benefits everyone but especially China since they dominate EV cars, batteries, solar, wind and nuclear tech so to them this is Win/Win.
