These compromises in daily living are _so_ worth it when you get to hang out at exotic and gorgeous, unpopulated places. Again, I like how dedicated you are to optimizing every aspect, knowing they will add up to a big difference. Enjoyed Charlie's little scenes. She seemed a little less camera-shy today.
Thank you! With little bench space in the bathroom the counter can get crowded really easily and the baskets are super handy and easy to clean. We have had them in the past and they always loose suction at some point and fall off so we decided to silicone them on and they've been brilliant. We have made sure the toilet we are ordering for the forward compartment has the hole in the bottom and are excited about our plans there. Charlie was really helpful with filming and wanting to be involved 😊 -Cait
Thanks for the boat tour and a update for your master cabin. Love the color of your cushions. Charlie is such a beautiful little princess. Stay safe and God bless 🙏
Thank you so much!! The red has turned out to be so lovely! We were brave to choose it and knew there was a chance red could be 'too much' but it's come out so lovely! ❤️❤️ Charlie was super helpful making this video 🥰 -Cait
Thank you for the tour and explaining the bathroom systems - i like the baskets you guys have added in the shower and the silicone is very smart as those suction cups always pop off. might have to silicone mine on in my house :)
Thank you! The silicone has been brilliant, the baskets have been holding strong and it's so nice to not worry about them popping off the wall. Gives us extra storage space in the bathroom.becaude we don't have a lot of counter space -Cait
Hey Frank! Great to see a new face and thank you for supporting our channel! We hope you enjoyed Beached As, it was a super fun day for us beaching her! -Cait
OMG, you guys are generous with the toilet paper LOL I used to tell my visiting family members only two sheets and it was the cheapest toilet paper 😂😂😂 The red covers look awesome for outside. It will look amazing once you guys are finished it. That’ll be exciting, having a tour on your side, the simple pleasures 🙌🚽 💩
4:16 what we did with our daughter was buy a heap of $2 cheap toys, we wrapped them up and placed them on top of the fridge, so she could see them but not actually reach them, she was about Charlie’s age, and every time she asked for her “pull ups” nappy off to use the actual toilet, she got a present, (Like a happy meal toy, not expensive) within a week she was taking herself to the toilet and using it, washing her hands and asking can she have another gift 🎁.. so simple but effective, 14 days worth of toys = $28 dollars and she stopped wearing nappies at all forever = priceless after 10 days she didn’t even ask for a gift.. dry sheets and no nappies, i ended up taking her to a toy store and letting her pick out whatever she wanted.. It was still cheaper then nappies and cleaning her sheets.. just a suggestion.. ps mummy had to show her how much “paper” was actually required, but only once.. she was more proud of herself than we were.. 😊
Awe i love it, that's awesome!! How old is she now? We have been doing puppy and farm animals stickers as a reward because she has a love for animals. Looking forward to being nappy free, when we are out on the water nappies are the biggest percentage of our rubbish onboard 😆 Cait
Sometimes you have to wonder who designed things you have to use every day and why it was done in a fashion that is not as practical as it could have been (also could have been designed for a mono hull maybe? ) . I guess it looked great when it was bought and installed but isn't as good as first thought and with the cost it was decided to "live with it" rather than change it. Thanks for the video.
Marine Loo's are a PITA, blockages, leaks, pipes calcify, elec issues, eww repairing, etc. Compost is so much easier, no pipes/water (wet bum), doesn't matter what goes in, used correctly they don't smell, use leaf litter, fertilise a tree/garden. Rigging Doctor has a great video on them. I buy Bulk box baby wipes from Aldi, use is much less vs paper, place in rubbish bin, like nappies, sanitary pads, etc. Shower - 2 x floor drains, salt water to wash goes to sea, swap plug, fresh final rinse goes to grey water tank to rinse chain, wash boat, etc.
Super happy with our set up, just the shape of the bowl is the downside 🤣 The toilet going in the front is a proper bowl with hole on the bottom 😍 -Cait
@@sailingwiththejamess The Germans make their loos with a shelf .... for stuff to land on ... 😬 handy if you have medical requirements.. but erm difficult in other ways and times. 🤭

I do wonder sometime who designed the toilet and weather they tested it before mass production 😆😆😆

Rookie question... but why don't people install bidet style toilets on boats if paper causes such a problem?
Its a fair question! Most marine toilets are salt, not a lot of people want to squirt their tooshies with salt water :)
Carefully 😂 .... they are a begger to fix and can flood the boat..
As for the first loo the Germans would love that one 😉🤭
Oh this toilet is 1/2 loved because it's electric and half hated because of its bowl shape 🤣🤣

🤣😆 I've seen those and thought that stuff would get stuck on the shelf 🤣🤣
