Hi, nice bit of fishing, reminds me of fishing the delta for steelheads. I would be interested in your description of fly, and rig you are using. The last time I fished in UK was in 1966 before my posting to Singapore. What is the cost of your yearly licence, I presume that you still have private and public spots. When you have that much spare line out and they come towards you then dont reel the line in but just hit the front of your reel with the palm of your hand, it will bring the line in 10 times as fast.Just try it at home and you will see it's quite easy and fast:)
