This was so much fun! I learnt a lot 🤓 Thanks to all you beautiful people who joined for the panel, and to all of you who have watched it. So much love to you, Joyce!
I notice with the Se's they tend to fix their camera more. The Ne's are just to focus on another dimension like their mind is somewhere else to even fix what's infront of them or even just be present in the moment.
My food illustration: This panel was like a cup of tea. The ISFPs being the tea, The ESFPs being the warm cup, And Joyce being the spoon stirring in the sugar. -ISFP❤️
As an ISFP I can listen to all different types of music. For me it is the key of the song. It is definitely the music that grabs me, the lyrics come later.
I like the music first but I really struggle to love the song if the lyrics aren’t good. Which is why I tend to like music where I don’t know what they are saying.
Regarding the music question that Jason brought up around 23 minutes, you know you're an xSFP when you can listen to random foreign music in a language you've never heard of and it can either match or make your mood! I bought a random Czech music cd when I traveled to Prague as a souvenir and despite knowing zero words in Czech, I found songs in there that I absolutely loved because they elicite a feeling in me. It could be about death or something but who cares if the music itself matches your mood or puts you in a good mood 😅 I'm an ISFP btw 😊
As an INFP, live concerts never appealed to me. I would be annoyed the whole time by people's cheers drowning out the music. And even without the cheering, the live performance wouldn't be as good as the perfected recording that I hear on the radio. My Si would just end up being disappointed. But this is all moot since I probably will have left before anyone even came on stage -- instant social drainage.
No more Questioning..im an ESFP :D Special thanks to Kristin. The Ni explenation was so good. It is there in the Moment. You know you will regret it if you just enjoy the Moment but most of the time you will do it anyways. hehe. I did so much dumb stuff in my life. Now (Im 40) i try to live by the rule: Discipline = Freedom
Haha, no worries at all! The xxFP guests on my panels seem to have the most technical difficulties. Perhaps it is the lower down Te? xD Always nice to have the chance to chat with you, Brady!! 😃
The meaning of songs is so true for my INFPs sister It’s almost like an offense to her when people don’t perceive things to have deeper meanings sometimes
Sensors Uncensored My brain’s in my nose. Seriously though, I can’t take the credit, the name’s from Thomas Pynchon’s Against The Day. A real fun book, but long as hell. Maybe one day I’ll even finish reading it. Your name’s pretty slick, too, makes me want to get out of my head. Or my nose.
Joyce, your comments throughout this video are so on-point. What an awesome thing it is to have you facilitating this. I learned so much and had a lot of fun too. It was such a pleasure to gain wisdom and insight from the others on this panel.
Wonderful! What a pleasure it was to hear about the inner workings of the ISFP mind from you, Jason. 🙂 You really nailed your explanation of Fi and how it is related to identity.
Thank you . As an ISFP thiis touched me and would love to have been there. some parts were even informative to my ENFJ wife of 22 years . I am an artist with concrete , specialising in decorative finishes & am also a bodybuilder .I realy felt the whole pannel even you Joyce and the crazzy ESFP’s as i rely heavily on my SE for wrk and plays a massive part in my life ,wether it’s feeding my authenticity at the gym , making me feel good , lookn good dressing , or just simply relaxing in front of the tv eating something I’ve alowed my self to enjoy . I am strict on myself. God help the person or persons who try to tell me something if its not warranted. If i want an opinion ill ask myself . But my mrs has helped me to have a healthyer view of the tribe . My NI isn’t as good as hers but i use mine all the time & last but not least my TE is also being used wit my wrk eg: organizing my jobs to run smoothly . Any way love you guys . Cheers
When I have to ask myself “who am I” more often than not I’m having a bad day! So true! Great talk with great people and one of the cutest hosts around!!! XD
@@sirbradfordofhousejones I totally get it. I like to think I'm starting to get better at asking this question without feeling like the world's gonna collapse on me, but the actual progress is questionable. It annoys me how long this growth takes, buuuuuuuuut we have to stay strong!
Thank for the chat everyone! :) I appreciate so much you sharing your authentic experiences. I enjoy the stories and learn so much. Really helps me in a hard time. 🧡
There are a lot of people in the INFP groups that seem more lyrics focused. But I doubt it's determinative to the level of working in a syllogism to separate SFPs from NFPs. I'm an INFP. And my interest is much more music focused than lyric focused. But in my level of education about music, I wouldn't say it's as simple as 'do my ears like it.' Because as much as that still plays in to things, what's really going on is 'do I find the compositional ideas interesting.' Do I find the patterns being exhibited interesting. Is the variation and embellishment satisfying. Can I follow how one idea seeded the next crop of ideas. Did you surprise me. Did you take me on a journey. Music that satisfies me is often very densely packed with details that make it like an onion or a giant gobstopper where it remains interesting over multiple listens because it's a challenge to perceive all the things that have been included in one listen. If I'm attempting to boil all of what I'm saying here about what interests me in music down into a single word, the word would be texture.
41:04 totally relate, Sheila! 20 yr old dude right here and I still fight this everytime I order something at a restaurant. The good news is that things are starting to get better and I'm getting used to talking to ppl!!😊 Who cares wut they think🤷
The conversation about answering things I think it’s almost the same way with INxPs and ENxPs, with the IxxPs, they want their Di to go make this outline that their Oe function/s can go ahead and play around in Ive noticed for the ENxP the Di filter comes second and so they tend to say much crazier things and then realize what it meant to them where’s as the INxP has already constructed and know what the Di wants and so the Oe functions take a little bit more time adjusting to the dominant Di

Oh wow, Jamila! Joyce wasn’t kidding about your voice! 🎶 😇

My type is INFP but I felt so heard in this video. So many acute observations made on the nature of Fi and Te.

The technical difficulties definitely made for a laugh when you were like, "Hmm, interesting. I have a good point about that- *vanishes*"
🤣
It makes me happy that we can listen to Jamila singing whenever she participates. Great topics too. Thanks everyone for bringing this video.
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching, Samuel!! 🙂

lollll my sister's the SAME,
Being in love with an ISFP was one of the greatest times of my life. Great talk as always. And ESFPs are cool, too; too cool, enviably cool ✌️
Not as cool as your username, though. That gave me a good laugh 😆

37:00 That was a really great point Kristin made about how inferior Ni interacts with Se. That’s absolutely my reality.

Kristin's laughter @ 24:50 is such a "human laugh". It should be on a track.
Oh I love it, my hubby is ISFP, my dad ESFP so😂I am ENFJ… go figure 😂🤣💪
Someone had to clean up after dinner.
More panels with dear kristin please! Not that the other guests aren't great too 😁 I love her energy!

Very relatable! I ask it in a pessimistic way rather than a growth-centric one.
