Notice how no one is talking over the other or interrupting at all?
Four introverts doing such a great job of modelling patient listening!
The ISFPs are so so patient to wait their turn!!!🙏🙏
As an ENFP, I'm observing and learning.

I am very focused on my own feelings more than anything. Fi is my dominant cognitive function. I always know how I feel. I just want to go write a poem or write in a journal or draw when stressed or depressed. I like to dance a lot when overwhelmed. I am an ISFP for certain. I am also not mean unless someone hurts me. I notice every detail about in nature. I find solace in nature which is where I like to draw and write in my journal. I blurt things out when I feel that my values and beliefs are disrespected, insulted or disregarded. I feel everything to the core.

As an ISFP with an INFJ bf and bff, I enjoyed this, and my bf learned from it as well. The fi/fe distinctions were really helpful in us understanding one another and our responses to each other or other people. The Si/se different was really easy for me to see between my best friend and I growing up. She was directionally-challenged, and what I thought was common sense in noticing in the environment, she would not pick up on. I would laugh to myself and think how did she miss that?? However she has always been really skilled in predicting behavior of people, and knows how things will turn out way farther into the future. I’m not able to see in that way

I typed as INFJ in the past and related to this personality type. After getting married, my type changed to be the same as my husband's, ISFP. I've been trying to figure out if it really changed or if my "chameleon" was in effect. This video helps me understand that I'm an INFJ because of my extroverted feelings. Thank you!
After watching the entire video, I believe even more that I'm an INFJ. I relate so much to Joyce and Susan and was able to more clearly see how I'm different than Kurt and Sheila. This was so helpful to me 🙏🏼

Really interesting discussion! I can relate so much about wanting to figure out the ingredients that makes people what they are (I’m an INFJ). The question I like to ask people I want to know deeply is what would be the most important thing they want from their life. I remember my ISFP boyfriend’s answer was that he wanted to be well/at peace. You can see all the Fi in there!!

Im an infj i’ve always felt emotionally ditached from my friends and also from my adoptive parents so much so that i thought i was a robot as you said but in the last couple of years i forced myself to start letting my feelings out instead of keeping everything inside now i feel genuine affection and feeling of costant love for my parents but im still very detached from my friends

I realized as I get older, being oblivious to my surroundings hurts my dad (esfj) feelings bc he interprets it as I don’t care about him. Bc he naturally notices and remembers all these details. So I trained myself to be extremely aware of my surroundings. Now I actually score very high on Se on cognitive function test surprisingly. Despite my natural tendency to be oblivious to it.

This was in a really dark time in my life…but when I was a teenager, my dog died and I didn’t even notice…..I asked my dad about him years later, and he was kind of baffled….he was like “Alaina, buddy died years ago.” That’s definitely not healthy, but in the dark emotional times of my life, I was oblivious to huge things changing around me in my environment.

Interesting that Sheila mentions the feeling temperature at 98.2 and Susan at 74 degrees, a room temperature. ISFP gauges the self and INFJ gauges the emotional environment

    Joyce! Thank youuuuu!
One small suggestion is to give enough talk time to all guests, maybe?

Since people only know if they are picking up on something when they walk into a room and thus not when they're missing it, would anyone really answer they do not pick up things when they walk into a room? After all, you do not notice you're missing anything. I'd be interested to hear some types answer this that theoretically do not have optimal functions for picking up such things. For this reason it would be cool to ask people of other types this same question to see and contrast the results

You can probably tell from hindsight or from realising it’s not something you ever noticed (like feedback from others). For instance, my friend reorganised her lounge. I didn’t notice until she mentioned it. So i became aware that I can be oblivious to my surroundings.
I would think it’s harder to know when you do pick up on something because it’s natural. Sometimes it doesn’t occur to us that people don’t pick up on things so we don’t think about it

That's a great point. I think it's a skill that can be improved. I feel that I have a good sense for the vibe in the room and what affects it. I have spent a lot of time improving my Fe in that regard. I don't always have a heightened awareness of it the way it sounds like Joyce and Susan do. I'm also not as obligated to it the way they described. (I think I'm an INTP)

I’m an INFJ, originally thought I was INxP. I think the easiest way to tell Fe and Fi apart is how they put themselves in other people’s shoes
Fi: imagines how they would feel/think/act in that situation. They respond with what they would want/no such thing as a truly selfless act
Fe: imagines what it’s like to be the person, how they feel/think/act in the situation. Will try to respond based on the person’s needs at the expense of self and don’t often get that good feeling

  • @annieqin8885

The part about Se is really helpful! As an ISTP, I sometimes wonder whether I'm an INFJ or not, since I've been in Ti-Ni loop for quite a long time. Seeing what Se inferior actually does, I can finally come to conclusion. Thank you all ;)

I like how you explained the difference between Fe goals and Te goals, and how Fi was described (a clever metaphor) and compared to Fe. As usual, a helpful, interesting, "chuckly" video. There's always a good mood going on, and concepts and examples to chew on.
    Good job! ☺️

I also sometimes don't dress weather appropriately because I've planned out an outfit for that day and would like to ignore the weather. It's less the inferior Se with me but creating concepts in the form of outfits which is a Ni thing. But then unfortunately it's really either too cold or too warm and I can't wear what I'd like so the weather is actually getting in the way of my fashion concepts :) So it's definitely mind over matter. I even think that I know so much about fashion and am so capable in it that I don't even need to dress nicely because I know what I know and don't care for random people's opinions, it's enough I'll start talking about the topic and everyone will instantly know that I know what I'm talking about. But my Fe very much cares for fellow professionals' opinions, so I'll definitely dress appropriately when meeting them.
I just came back from a mall where I realised that I never noticed or used those particular lifts that would've been useful instead of walking that extra distance to the escalators. I've been going to this mall for years. So much for good Se and noticing details :)

1:07:20 - I think this video has clinched it for me that I am an INFJ after months of struggling between these two types.
Anyway, this point specifically jumped out at me, because I am like this. "I can see why they would think that, because..." Yet, my mom is an INTJ, and I will bring up a thought process with her in this manner, intending to purely examine the line of thinking as a means of understanding the person, or make some connection I haven't made before about the person's life and behavior, withholding value judgment, even if I do have a take. But once she has taken hold of the topic, it becomes about her opinion on the rightness or wrongness of the thinking, every time. Ni-Ti versus Ni-Fi?

Oh my god. I constantly wear baggy hoodies in summer and sandals in winter, and people are always pointing it out! Saying “how aren’t you hot or cold?” 😂 and I’m always like ?? So ?? Now I understand why I do that lolll

If being an Infj, when I come into a tense room I think what will help, what needs to be done, is it possible to turn this, can I clear this....etc than listen, feel, look, connect, can it be healed harmonious, or better be direct and get it out and be burned, or even blamed

alright so im kind of confused with my mbti, im either infj (i relate to this more) but recently i took it over after some couple month and im isfp. so could you guys tell me which one am i?
    im afraid of people
sometimes when im on the streets, i think persons are judging me
i like to learn different language (but my determination skills are lacking)
i mostly listen to people when they are talking.
    i dont make friends easily.
i dont pot anything on social media, only use it to look on what other persons are doing.
    i dont like groups assignments.
    i love to sleep
i love to be by myself, most of the time
even though i may be introverted, if you get to know me, i extroverted
    im weird, (doing random stuffs)
i always hurt myself like trip.
    i love to watch youtube
i like when my opinions are heard but cant say it out loud to persons i dont know.
sometimes i get disappointed in myself.
    i love to help others
i cant say no to people, but when im helping them and they dont cooperate i tend to not have patience but will hide it.
i also dont know how to open up to someone, but if someone is to open up to me, i will be willing to help them.
i tend to hide my feeling to myself.
i often cry in a sad show and when i dont want to cry and laugh along with it.
i tend to be exhausted in holding on to expectation especially the ones i set myself.

I would say yes. Anyone can take the MBTI test and also have cooccurring mentall illnesses or neurodivergence, etc - An INFJ self-diagnosed with ADHD and on a wait-list to be evaluated.
