    I would also recommend using textures in stencil mode. This can be combined with the mask brush and the mesh filter (in inflate mode) to create very effective surface relief.

    Thanks for the tutoria! My wondering is that, I have a plank of about 2m long but in order to start sculpting nice crease lines I have to go up 20m polys... Is that normal?

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I did reply to this but it seems to have disappeared so sorry about it. 20million is higher than I'd want it but it depends on your computer to be honest. I'd try to get it below that though

    • @XxSWxX666
      @XxSWxX666 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you ask me, that's way too many polys. But then again, I don't know what your PC hardware can handle. And I also don't know what you want to do with this plank. Keep in mind, that for most prints you don't really need too much detail because most printers (FDM and Resin) won't be able to print out such details. Yes, they can print detailed stuff, but I'm talking about very very fine scratches in the wood. Such details probably won't even be visible once you've painted your model (if you do so)...
