    Umpire Dar gave him not out...HOT SPOT gave him not out...what else does his Highness need? Haddin has been a co-conspirator in many other situations with his sledging an foul mouth. With the talent Aussies have this is totally unnecessary!

      WINGO the technology didn’t suggest anything indicating there was an inside edge, nor did the umpires, blower and even the slip fielders heard anything, only the wicket keeper heard something and decided to review that. The slip fielder had his hands on his head indicating that it’s close but it’s nothing. There was absolutely no need to argue the umpires that there was a nick or anything, but then again, that’s just the nature of the Australian team, always trying to cheat their way out. Take for example Justin Langer, in a test against Pakistan, he refused to walk even after he had a huge edge, of course the umpire didn’t give him out, but he just stood there even after he nicked it and pretended as if he didn’t, knowing to himself that he absolutely smashed that edge onto the wicket keeper. But like I said, it’s the nature of the Australian team, absolutely no sportsmanship whatsoever, with the exception of Adam Gilchrist. He’s one man that I respect a lot, whenever he has an edge and he’s caught he walks, he doesn’t wait for the umpires, and that can be seen from a lot of other players from the different teams, but not from the rest of the Australian team.

    Ponting had to reestablish his captaincy by setting an example to the younger members of the team. This was at a time when Ponting's captaincy was under scrutiny because he couldn't lead a "newer/younger" Australian team to the same wins they got in the late 90's. I can see Siddle was sucking up to the captain to get on his good side and get picked for the team

We have seen how he supported the Aussies during the Sydney Test Saga. The Ashes too. Bill Lawry was the only one who has always stayed neutral and calls a spade a spade. Why can't we introduce yellow and red cards for players who show dissent or questions umpires decisions?
    Like in Tennis. You now have technology. The players get chances to contest the call. But they don't then question the result. The 3rd umpire gave his decision based on the tech available which is good to be honest.
    It should be accepted and play moves on. In Mr Ponting's case,he surpassed what one does not do after calling for the decision to go upstairs.

    Players are allowed to question the umpire via the referral system. This is a bad precedent and results in incidents similar to what we saw today.
    The umpires do not appear to have the respect of the players, and something needs to be done to answer it. This doesn't happen in rugby, players respect the referees.
    Why can't we introduce yellow and red cards for players who show dissent or questions umpires decisions?

    Unfortunately Ponting displayed some poor behaviour towards the end of his career.
    It started when he captained the team against England in 2005,and over the next few seasons, he repeatedly embarrassed not only himself, but also the team he was leading.
    That era is remembered by some boorish, mean spiried and plain ugly on field behaviour.
    To cap it off, he lingered around, when it was clear his best days were gone.
    Of course, the above is only my opinion, and I'm sure plenty of others will disagree with me.
    Thanks for the upload 😁👍

    @ojscott456 Nope!
    He said himself that he is going to retire after the WC but you are right in saying that, he might retire because he has been under the pump recently and nearly everyone wants him out.

    Don't blame the referee. There are rules to follow. See what will happen after the match.

    Ponting really should know better, I think its time that he resigned. That would be the right thing to do. Recent performances by the Aussies have been flat out embarrassing, add this to the mix, time to go mate. He's had a good career.
