Jordo! Don't oil the water my man. Use some of the pasta water after you're done cooking your noodles to add back to the pasta. It's going to keep them from sticking together but the sauce is going to stick to that noodle WAY better than if you put oil on them 😁

Thank you...I was stressing out watching the oil going into the water...and then rinsing the noodles. The two cardinal sins of pasta cooking. And the saffron in the sauce with the noodles would better release the flavor. But I'm still going to steal this recipe lol

My favorite angler from addictedfishing and when he gave that fish a one two combo I died lmao!!!
In 1984(or 85), the Michigan DNR decided to plant summer steelhead in a river very close to where I live in Marquette, Michigan. At the time they wanted to stock it with Skamania strain summer steelhead, but these were unavaiable for some reason at the time, so instead they managed to obtain Siletz strain summer steelhead eggs from Oregon and planted the yearlings from those. On Labor Day oy 1986 I caught my first summer steelhead out of this river, but the main run did not occur until August tenth of 1987 and BOY HOWDY!!! I probably had the best fishing day of my life and I was the only one fishing! The fish ranged from 25 to 29 inches long, were dime bright without a hint of " rainbow" pink color and fought like nobody's business. I caught a limit of five fish that day and lost I don't know how many. And, they tasted much better than the regular spring run rainbows we usually catch around here.

What a great 👍 adventure! Those stairs gave me goosebumps,reminded of the Suicide Hole on the Big Manistee in Michigan! Going down was bad enough, but if you caught fish, coming up was torture!! 😂 Beautiful fish as always !!

I think this tip video is one of the best informative videos you've done I live in south fork Colorado I lived in Vancouver Washington Florida fished the entire country bass to a 600lbs shark trout is my favorite you guys know your stuff

Jordon im a chef of over 20 years...Saffron is a great spice bro..i love making saffron Risotto topped with sauted Shrimp and scallops in a white wine lemon butter sauce. Grerat recipe my brother and even better lookin Chinook salmon. tight lines and stay fishy my friend
Jordan, have you ever thought about fishing Lake Louise in Alaska for some truly lunker trout. There's other varieties of fish to be caught in the lake or in the rivers and creeks surrounding it. Please let us know if you ever decide to go to Lake Louis, it would be awesome to watch you catch a lunker trout. 🙂

i really like the water to have some silt in it like where your at,unless thats just the glare....upper sandy river for late springers is hot and silty,some good eggs under a bobber and boom its on!!!

Another awesome video, man. Saffron goes good on chicken too. It's used quite a bit in Pennsylvania Dutch food recipes. You've definitely given me some new recipe ideas for Salmon this year-thank you very much-keep up the amazing videos

As a persian guy it's hard to see saffron being used incorrectly lol ALWAYS grind up saffron and use much less than you did there. Its also not a bad idea to let it seep in hot water for a few minutes to allow it to release that color and aroma. Otherwise great content as always!

It's our "saffron radar" at work. We feel someone is using it we come running to criticize the technique. Also, Italians and Persians are basically like rainbows n cutties.
What about seeping it in EVOO? Seems like it would adhere better to the fish. Thanks for the education.
@@kellydaugherty4758 I believe the compounds in saffron are water soluble, but we do add the extracted saffron water to butter for some dishes. In terms of adhering, I think any type of oil could drip off your food unless properly emulsified. You can literally paint your food with saffron water and it sticks to it like a champ. In fact I often have a hard time washing the color off my fingers if I touch the saffron water. Hope this helps.
@@areyyyyyyy We frequent a favorite Eastern Indian restaurant every year and love the Chicken Tikka Masala. I know they use saffron in the rice served with it but could never get the same flavors at home when I made it. Thanks for the tip of steeping the saffron in water. We were adding it at the end thinking it would get watered down because so little is used. Now I'll add it directly to the water before cooking.
We love Indian food and wish I knew how to better cook it. Saffron is truly one of our favorite spices.

To be fair sketchy stair cases tend to lead to great fishing. If you are ever on Whidbey Island. Go to South Whidbey State park. Walk down the trail that leads to the water front...There is a sign that says the beach is closed cause the stair case washed out. Ignore that sign (all the locals do you wont get in trouble trust me). walk down that beach to the east towards a big rock with white paint on it. That there is a SOLID "locals only" fishing spot. I highly recommend anybody to try this spot instead of going to Bush Point. You are basically at bush point but waaay farther down the beach and WAY less people. I usually use a pink buzz bomb and it slays the Cohos.
