I have never twitched jigs before. I was thinking about trying it sometime but im sure people will assume I'm snagging. You guys ever get that while twitching jigs?
Jordan - I love you bro! I love when you get stoked and start with that laugh!! The amount of respect you show for the fish is only matched by your excitement! To me that’s what it’s all about! Thanks for all the info you share! Tight lines brother!
I'm just getting started in Salmon and Steelhead. I live at the Clearwater Snake confluence with the huge B run steelies and some decent Chinook and Coho action. You can also flyfish the Grand Ronde or farther up the Snake or Clearwater. I do tons of spinner fishing for trout and am looking to transfer that to salmon and Ironheads. Twitching jigs look like a ton of fun too
Man this is fun to watch too. Can actually feel a mini rush of hookin a fish a little bit… didn’t think watching fishing would get any adrenaline movin but. I just gotta go fishing
I recently just moved to Upper Michigan and started fishing Lake Superior tributaries. These guys have been very helpful in figuring out some tips and tricks Midwestern freshwater Steelhead and Coho too.
I made my own custom hoochie lure as well, I had a flying C spinner by over time the little plastic minnow around the body just broke off, so I took a hoochie and cut the head off of it, flipped it inside out and slid it on the lure, then flipped it inside out again to fold it on the body and it’s been a great lure since then😂
Great video as always! Love watching and learning different techniques from you guys. Living in Oregon for 5 years and just now getting into fishing been catching trout but looking for my first steelhead. Keep up the good work guys.
All I can think of is put a GPS tracking device on your truck because I have spent countless hours looking for that fishy of water. I know I know that part of the experience but just want to be rewarded once in a while. :) Love your show(s)
Yeah I’m still searching for better waters and always curious where they are but I’ll eventually find my own spots. Hopefully I’ll reap the rewards soon.
Reminds me of jig and spinner fishing Rainbows, Browns and Brooks in the Driftless Region of Southwest Wisconsin and Nortbeast Iow. Great times, Great fishing!!
10:30am?! Kinda late start. But you got there all rested then opened with a first cast bit and one in the net in 10 minutes. Fun day fishing shared by all. Thanks!
Jordan seems like such a great spinner guy I was surprised by the outcome. Would be interesting to see 10 casts with one and then 10 with the other, sometimes they crush the spinners but when they just follow it it’s time for the jig. Such awesome water. Very jealous. Next challenge with spoons. Can you do a raft walk through?
Hi addicted fishing if you see this comment that means I’m a big fan. My favorite lure to use for salmon would be the spinner because I actually never used twitching jigs for salmon before I always think they get stuck when you make 1 jig up. I learned a lot about salmon and steelhead fishing from you guys so I was wondering if your dogs try to eat the fish when you get in.
Caught my first salmon Monday! Caught it on an all silver blue fox spinner on salmon river by Lincoln city. I ice picked my rod trying to get him in the boat because the night before I had some fishing gear stolen out of my Jeep while at Walmart to buy the blue fox spinner. I just bought some addicted jigs and I’m excited to give them a try. Your videos helped me out big time trying to figure out this whole fishing business and what works and what doesn’t.
Enjoyed it. Learned I've got to twitch the jigs a lot harder. Thanks for another good learning experience. Do you find the spinners with hoochies work better than straight spinners?
Thought for sure the old school spinners would have out fished the jigs....but guess not. I'm seeing more and more jigging techniques. Great job Jordan. You da man!!!
I've never used a twitching jig before. I've always done quite well with a 20 blade Panther Martin, silver blade with a black body and yellow spots with a bucktail hook. Also done well with a Mepps Aglia 5 blade in Chartreuse
So I love the instructions and entertainment! I bought an Okuma 9’9” and Ceymar reel loaded with 40# braided line for bobbers. Can I effectively fish this setup with jigs and spinners? Or should I pop for the 7’6”? If so, can you talk with my wife to let her know it is a necessity?
1st of all - you guys do great work. I've learned a TON from watching your vids, this being my first year trying salmon fishing. But I haven't had any luck in getting a fish on. I understand the etiquette of not naming rivers and lakes, but are you able to direct me on how far inland I should be trying for this time of year? King & Pierce county rivers are my go-tos, but I'm at a loss as to how far upriver I want to go. Thanks again for your work! 🤘🏼
I fish with spinners a lot in Michigan. They absolutely crush them. It's like you hit a snag . Steelhead like them too. They chase them to the bank and to the boat. So much fun fishing spinners
Props on another legit video. Your an exciting dude what fish . One of these days we'll get out with Eric and koehl , now that soumds like a exciting say of fishinh. The challenge was legit but I. Suepr you feel the same but if you had been using spinner first they would have gotten blasted. Next challenge has to be done at the same time .that maintain the constant in this little experiment. Tight lines
awesome been waiting for this for a year love you guys u inspired me to make a youtube channel i wish i could just give you the 100,000,000 subscribers you deserve!!!
Hey! I’m sorta new to salmon fishing, how do you know where and when to use the jig/lure? I fish near tillamook off the shore because i don’t have a boat.
I did the same thing and noticed in slow low water the blade changed its turn over, went back to regular turnover with the single hook. In faster, higher water didn't seem to make much difference to that blade speed.
@@michaeldesjarlais1390 I purchased some knock off blue fox spinners and the two beads below the cleaves were reversed the bigger one was on top it totally changed the beat of the spinner and caught more coho in slow water at first I didn't like them until they started to slay I went back and bought all the store had
Have you ever noticed how some people are like, "fishing Supermen"? Well F/U Jordan for being one of those guys!!! LOL! !Fish on Superman! From Edmonds WA.
Awesome head to head !!! Think i had more fun watching than you had landing. Fantastic job and xtra pointers along the way. Kudos for the gread vid. What would be some good choices for twitching jigs, and do you think they would work in the Great Lakes area ? Thank you so much.
If you had landed all the fish on spinner you may have tied...but if you had landed all the ones that hit your jigs they would have blown the spinners out of the water. I love spinner fishing for steelhead but I usually do better twitching jigs for salmon. Coho or chinook.
I LOVE TO GO FISHING SO FUN FUN KEEP ON FISHING NEVER STOP FISHING SO FUN FUN KEEP ON FISHING NEVER STOP FISHING SO FUN FUN KEEP ON FISHING NEVER STOP FISHING SO FUN FUN SUPER FAN OF ADDICTED FISHING 🎣 CAUGHT 4 COHOES SALMON 🐟😀 ♥️ FROM SEATTLE WASHINGTON
What lure is going to win this challenge?! 🤔🎣
(before the video) "Idk" (After the video) "I KNOW, I KNOW, I KNOW!!!!!"
I don't know but you should do one with plugs vs Spoons.
I have never twitched jigs before. I was thinking about trying it sometime but im sure people will assume I'm snagging. You guys ever get that while twitching jigs?
@@nathanklinger1027 no, most people know of the twitching technique so it’s never been an issue for me.
@@grant0410 thats good, im definitely interested in trying them out.
When are the addicted spinners coming out?
u missed them they sold out this summer
If you guys ever write a fishing guide book it would sell like hot cakes. I'd definitely buy it!
Dont know how shaun can stand filming all the time watching all that killer fishing i would be dropping the cam to cast
That’s a real woman 👍🏽

Jordans my favorite guy on the show. The others are pretty cool guys too
This is one of my favorite videos

I don’t know who gets more excited when you hook a fish the dog or you.
(The Good, the bad, the ugly theme in the background) The spinner and the twitching Jig staring at each other. :)

I love how at 9:34 little tries to bite the fish😂 love that dog

I love my spinners, recently I really got into spoons but they stopped producing in our waters, I'll have to try some twitching, great vid!
I caught 3 hatchary Coho within 3 hours in Vedder River in BC. Other 10ish people caught nothing using other ways. 😁😁😁
Good video. Love the dog. Funny seeing someone that catches a ton, get excited like a 12 year old. True love of the sport.

when the time rolls around id like to see a jig vs bead vs worm for steelhead!!!
Guess I'm a little old school. I was rooting the hell for those spinners. Great video! Cheers!
Im getting addicted to the content. Thanks fam
Damnit I’ve cut so much braid by not knowing that trick!
I never go direct to the hook with braid, always tie a micro swivel onto the braid then a length of flouro before the hook... Eliminates twist...
This was Good!! I want to see opposite Now!!! Spinners first then Twitching Badass Jig!! 😃
4:49 sounds exactly like big Dave 😂
Love big Dave!!!! OOOOOO OOOO OOO REEEEEEL REEEL REEEL OOOO ITS A DAAAANDY BOYS 🤣
lol, I was listening to this more than watching this, thought it was Dave too!
Jordan you sir are the goat!
That knot trick is an awesome trick 👌 hate those wind knots and I always cut them out! Till now!

Black hair, neon yellow head twitcher has been my golden boy.
I haven't caught sh*t on a spinner except for a couple Jackies on a Flying-C
Twitching is the wave, IDC if it's more effective or not, it's more fun!!!
That was an amazing twitch bite. So cool.
Great video was rooting for the spinner been $ for me there, and I knew the Michael switch would pay off. Tight lines see you on the water
Nice video 👍🏾.
What would you recommend for bank fishing on a river?
float &jig, spinner, twitching jig, and a drift rig those work awesome!
yo can we do a vid on natural looking lures vs florescent bright lures! thanks addicted loves yo stuff!
Another great video. Little’s guide service done did good!
What rod and reel size is that? Thank you for the info guys
Moral of the story is bring jigs and spinners so when one stops working you can switch to the other... and then throw wigglers after that.
Very nice video, I use Brad's Jigs under a small bobber and I just slay coho in indiana, never knew u could cast a jig and twitch it like that!
I fish with spinners a lot in Michigan. They absolutely crush them. It's like you hit a snag . Steelhead like them too. They chase them to the bank and to the boat. So much fun fishing spinners
Sweet new showdown!
The dog knows everytime he hooks a fish lmao
That you for like my Instagram post and love the videos and you have taught me everything I know about salmon and steelhead.
yes same!
The dog is like hurry up and get a fish in the boat.
My two favorite methods, light gear more fight!
Thats actually wrong. The more you lean into them, the harder they fight back.
@@jasonborne682but shorter fight as well

Hey this is great, what line weight do you recommend for fall COHO? Leader length, etc?
Yeahh......great video Jordan!!!

Did this challenge with a buddy yesterday, spinner won 4 to1. Best spinner bite of the year.
There is not one person that wouldn't stick with Jordan. Not one!

Waiting to see you and Cam have a twitch challenge.
Where is this!
awesome been waiting for this for a year love you guys u inspired me to make a youtube channel i wish i could just give you the 100,000,000 subscribers you deserve!!!
What kind of boat do you use in the video? Is it a Jon boat with jet propeller? Love it that the boat has flat surface to stand.
Hey! I’m sorta new to salmon fishing, how do you know where and when to use the jig/lure? I fish near tillamook off the shore because i don’t have a boat.
that braid trick, nice!
Around 10 years ago I started hanging a Mustad siwash on a small swivel off my spinners the hook landed rate went way up

Clearly I need to add twitching to my repertoire! Dang, I’m picking up a couple next time I hit the fishing store
Jeeez no sea lions on the river to worry about. Theres a dog though 🤣🤣

Howabout spin n glo setups vs wedding ring setups for agood competition....
I have a question, which method do you think you get more hits but misses?
Thanks for sharing! What kind of rod is that?
Great video. Just came across your channel. Did you ever use those jigs in Alaska on the Kenia to be more specific?
Great video! Do you not recommend using a snap swivel to your spinners? Sure makes it easier to change them. Fish on! Mark in Portland
