What are your thoughts on cooked mussels?
Good question! Just had this tested Saturday but only got a hold of the garlic flavored ones. They produced fish! I would imagine unseasoned ones would do even better. They DO work!
Sand fleas work awesome
Great bait for sure! Oysters and Fiddlers are far more productive for me, though.
Great tutorial. Thank you
Thanks for watching!
You covered sheephead fishing very well John! God Bless!!!
Thank you and thanks for watching! God bless!
Excellent Educational Video for Moderate to Advanced Fisherman. Very Well Done.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
I just got my FF shirts! I LOVE them so much! They fit great and are very comfortable. Thank you so much!
I'm so glad they made it and that you love them! Appreciate all the support!
Amazing. Great video. Thank you sir.
Appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
Awesome video I agree with everything you said baits, and rigs. Depending on your location sand fleas works great and a fishing finder rig with the weight at the bottom and your about 5-6 inches above your hook. I swear you can feel everything and it's really effective when you just rest your reel on the boat. The sheepshead will show you pressure on your rod tip almost every time.
Thanks for watching! So many ways to fish them, for sure! Key is to find what you like best and master it! Mastering several is best, cuz it always changes based on location/tide etc.
A fish finder rig does not have a sinker at the bottom. It is the rig he shows here first. A rig with weight at the bottom is either a dropper or drop shot rig. On a dropper rig the hook stands out on a 2-4” piece of line from the main line. A drop shot rig hook is tied directly on the mainline. Both have sinker below the hook. Yes you can feel everything.
Thanks for the clarification. That is great!
Great tips and very well put together my friend! I’ll be sharing this video today!!
Appreciate that! Brandon's peacock bass video is legit!
Where you fish is always the most important factor
True. That will then dictate how you approach it.
Stopped by to show some love!! Great channel! Look forward to watching more of your videos!
Much appreciated! This was flagged for review?? Just saw it today.
@@FaithNFishing really? Why?
@@Slabz_sb No clue? Still trying to learn everything within YT Studio but it didn't say why it was flagged that i could see.
@@FaithNFishing thats so weird haha
Nice to meet ya my friend much love god bless
Thanks for stopping by!
When you say ‘local’ what state and county is that please?
I am on the west coast of Florida in the US.
We could not get any fiddlers on morning and we tried sand fleas. They seemed to work almost as well a fiddlers and their shell makes them a little more stout on the hook and not stolen by those little convicts as easily.
You're absolutely right, sand fleas are not to be dismissed! I haven't used them in a long time since crabs are usually available to me. Did you have live or frozen? I think, with any bait, live is always more effective. Thanks for the comment and for watching!
@@FaithNFishing they were live. I prefer live. It seems to stay on the hook a little longer.
Seems 30 pound would get way fewer strikes than say 15-20. I start at 15 and go up or down based on if I’m getting bites.
That could potentially be an issue but, fishing structure, I get cut off quite often with 30lb! On flats or mangroves, it would be ok to lighten it up. Thanks for watching and commenting!
What are your secrets? Do you have a bait that is irresistible to these convicts? What is your go to rig? Share your thoughts in the comments! Thanks all!!
@@andrewrollins4898 Thanks for watching and the great insight! I haven't needed to get too much weight lately and have been able to freeline or use a small split shot. Will definitely try to incorporate the drop shot style in deeper waters!
I use hermit crabs with the legs cut off they're sort of a pain to get them out without a hammer but they leave a pretty good scent trail when they hit the water that seems to attract them
I hear they are good but illegal for us to use here in Florida, I believe.
@@FaithNFishing in that case, I retract my previous statement.
Great stuff, thanks! Subbed to help your channel out- we could use some help too if you have time
Appreciate that! Subbed👍
I was the only one who caught a fish.
Nobody else could catch one, except me.
You know how I did it?
Every time I put the line in the water... I said a Hail Mary, and every time I said a Hail Mary, I caught a fish.
Classic!
