Glad you got some rain. Im one of those who love it when we have a true rainy 'day' in London, which is quite rare. You go in a pub to shelter and have a drink, then you come out and it's still raining and you go and shelter in another pub further down the road. And so on and so on. Then you get drunk and forget where you live. 😝 😊
Brick Lane is one of my favourite places too. I bought my first scooter there, a Piaggio Liberty 125cc since you ask. I also bought my first leather jacket from one of the few surviving Jewish schmutter shops in Brick Lane. It's now the best place in London for Bengali food, as you've already discovered, and of course the Beigel Bakery is one of London's great institutions. I love the vibrancy that successive waves of immigrants have brought to Brick Lane. In fact, the very thing about Brick Lane that repels racists and xenophobes has always attracted me most.
Good to hear you enjoyed your roast. London and pretty much all of the eastern half of the UK isn't that wet with annual rainfall around 25 inches, much of it in the form of drizzle like you experienced. Some parts of the western half of the UK and much of Ireland are wet though as closest to the rain bearing winds from the Atlantic.
Ooh, love Barbican! Work on Bunhill Row, so I go there at lunchtimes. You used to be able to walk straight in, they also have wedding receptions there (or they did).
KC, you said that it was your own silly mistakes. But I am sure you do laugh about it. But in my case. The mistakes I made. I cry about them, and they turned to be very expensive.
Do try and get up the North of the country on a future visit, happen somewhere a bit more rural ( out in the sticks ) with a slower pace of life and possibly a bit more in the way of rain for you to enjoy 🌧️🌦️. London is also very expensive compared to many Northern Towns and Cities and the Quids ( Pounds ) will stretch out a bit further when away from the Capital of England. Really enjoyed watching your videos of your London trip, thanks for sharing.
I’m really happy to hear you are enjoying my videos. Thank you! I would love to travel outside of London. And anything to make the quids stretch further sounds good to me! From the videos/photos I have seen the UK is stunning. I would love to experience it.
KC, thank you for sharing your adventures in London, I do think your brave when you suffer from arthritis all that walking - well done you! If you ever come to West Sussex and my area, I would like to treat you to afternoon tea! You are so nice and respectful of our culture. I avoid London - except for its awesome theatre! I like roast dinners with thicker gravy - a proper British Carvery like Toby Carveries ideal to go to for roast dinners!
Next time you come to the uk do travel around much more to great Britain than London travel up to Sulgrave Manor and check out who came from there. Love and peace from Wolverhampton England
Hello KC, why do I have to watch something where food is involved. Never mind love . Nothing would tempt me now. Once my dinner is finished, my shower is done, and my snow whites are brushed. I am ready for bed. You know Kim, in the pass few weeks. It is starting to get bright round about 4.30am. so in other words. I will be seeing more of Dawn than Tony Orlando. Kim, even when you were lying on your bed. You were still gorgeous.
Another thing I have noticed. You got lost a couple of times. When I get up in the middle of the night, and I sleep walk. I always get up from my bed in the morning. You know why. I always walk with a compass.
It doesn't rain as much as reputed in the UK, I'm a landscape gardener and am rained off perhaps 7-8 days a year Next time you come, venture out of London, it's a great city but it's not representative of England let alone the UK, get to the West Country, York, Liverpool, Scotland, Wales...all very different
@@DomRivers67 from all the allegations I’ve heard about London rain I came prepared. I thought we would have a daily downpour. Which is funny now to me. 😄 We had the most beautiful weather during our time there and this Arizona desert dweller thoroughly enjoyed the slight drizzle we experienced.
@@TheKFMProductions it took me a moment to register that he may have been talking to me. 😄 I just kept walking. I didn’t want my phone to get snatched away.
@@ArizonaKC I don’t think he would have done that (although I get your concern, haha) - 50/50 as to whether he was being sarcastic funny or genuinely was annoyed. Hard to tell sometimes with us brits 😂
Brick Lane is grotty and the artwork is just another name for graffiti. However, it does have a great choice of food, priced for the locals as much as the tourist trade. Don't worry, house prices will rise as well off people who can't quite afford to live in Notting Hill and Islington, for example, start to spread out and buy up the properties. Locals will be forced out and the area gentrified.
I had the most lovely time that day. It’s nice to see budget friendly alternatives such as what the Barbican Conservatory provides. I am an avid gardener but since my kids don’t share the same interest it was a wonderful compromise.
@@ArizonaKC I've not been to the Barbican Conservatory. Looks great for being free. If you have ever seen the brilliant tv series Poirot starring David Suchet you just missed where they filmed his apartment block. Florin Court in Charterhouse Square, just around the corner from The Barbican. ✌️

@@ArizonaKC Thanks for the honest response. There is a lot of ignorance on this subject and a lot of it goes back to US military people stationed in the UK during the war years. You know, when there was major food rationing and shortages. The diet changed then. FYI, Brits come over here to visit me and do nothing but complain about the food. It does cut both ways. My opinion is there is a good and bad on both sides. However, one side is more opinionated than the other being totally honest.
I could see that happening. The food in the States definitely has more sodium and preservatives in it. I felt the food I had in London seemed more honest, if that makes sense.
@@ArizonaKC The food in our country is full of chemicals and stuff designed to make you ill or shorten your life span. All of these things are banned in other countries.
