A big part of me sometimes regrets making this video and another part of me is glad, because hopefully I scared some people off of trying this drug. But I am getting some "tough love" comments and I get it, but I don't know if you what is going on in the background and the efforts I am putting in to stop this god awful habit. I have been attending meetings and I have seen two benzo specialists. My whole goal is to be rid of any addiction and only addicted to loving God. I have conquered almost every drug, but this one is a completely different ball game and it has brought me to tears over how I can't just "quit" on the spot. This video was just to show my struggles (or just a pity party) and what I am dealing with, and if I am not doing it the way you think I should be, then say it in the comments, I don't really care. I read every comment and take notes, even the negative ones. I am thinking of making this channel my journey to becoming the strongest man I can be, but this hurdle is very high and has a big come down. I also still have the responsibility of every day life. I work at a paint shop where we sometimes work 12hr days - 7 days a week and I can't just take the time off for Detox because they will just replace me with another painter. I also manage a main channel that is growing faster than I can barely handle sometimes. Anyways I love you all. We are all diamonds and it takes a light for you diamonds to shine. God bless.

I was on and off methadone for 11 years, mostly on though and was viscously addicted to benzodiazepines during that same time. Getting on methadone, to stop doing dope, was the worst decision I ever made in my entire life. I am now 16 months clean and working a program in Alcoholics Anonymous and my life has improved dramatically. I am employable and I have gained the trust of my family back. I got my license back after not driving for 9 years and I am able to keep money in my bank account. I never thought I would be able to get clean because I had used since I was 14. When it becomes evident that the anxiety that is induced by these medications is actually worse than the original anxiety disorder we were struggling with then we can think about quitting them. Then a person has the ability to play to their natural strengths, rather than to the weaknesses that these medications continually reinforce.
Yeah if your anxiety is really bad, I'd honestly suggest leaving those out sometimes, and another thing too, try smoking weed bro, that one will do wonders for you. It'll get you off the Xanax too by severely knocking down the severity of withdrawals, weed will help reset your brain back to baseline, it will also help deal with some of what was causing you the pain that led you to xanax and other substances to begin with.@@LifeOnPaper141 Cause one thing to note about Xanax vs something like weed, Things like Xanax mask these feelings memories and emotions, Weed makes you face it and helps you process it and put it to rest finally.

I was addicted to Xanax for years, 10mg + a day when I was at my worst, and fell into terrible psychosis because of it. After many attempts, I was able to tamper off them, finding Christ gave me the hope and power to do so. You can get off them with God and the will to power. Hang in there, it gets better. It may take years after, but the anxiety goes away. God bless you.

you're fine!!! I'm a recovering opiate addict and when you said what you had to say, I admit something within me was a lil bummed feeling, but then I realized, you're right in your own way with what you said. Benzos are more likely to kill when compared to opioids/opiates. I've experienced withdrawal from fentanyl cold turkey, and suboxone cold turkey, both were hell.. however I'm still on Valium... I'm scared to even experience full on benzo withdrawal, I will not allow myself. Thankfully I'm only up to Valium daily. (I have experimented with Xanax before though along with Ativan and Klonopin.) Dang brother 8 bars isn't a therapeutic dose. Is it bromazolam or are you sure its alprazolam? Try keeping it at max 1 a day and slowly try to take breaks. Green tea is also really good for anxiety because studies show it helps the brain create more GABA through L-theanine.
@@LifeOnPaper141 Create a plan with a doctor to use a long lasting benzo to taper with. Because even if its not alprazolam or if it's a research benzo, the taper would still be difficult at that high of an amount. Tremors, insomnia, possible seizures, you probably already know. It's very hard to maintain a job without medical help. Best to take care of it instead of upping the dose.
I weaned myself off Xanax and I am at 7 days clean today. I cut my Xanax by 50% then went and got 5 mg Valium after telling my Doctor I did not want to do Ashton schedule of like two years. Then the first 3 nights I took 1/4 mg Xanax and 5 mg Valium. Then at 10 days down to 2.5mg of Valium for 5 days then 5 days 1.25 Valium which was 1/13/24. Only withdrawal symptoms was a headache for hours 40-48. My sleep sucks but no depression or any other problems other than lack of sleep. I think it was easy for me because I am always in ketosis being on Carnivore diet. I am 63 and in my 30’s I took 30-100 mg of Valium everyday. Then moved to Ambien from 2000 to 2011 then Xanax since. I am now at 6 weeks clean and sleep is still polypasc but I am doing ok.
I was on 280 mg diazepam/Valium a day. From black market. I dropped out 5 mg a week until I got to 5 mg and then I jumped off. Had 2 panics attacks a day later. But apart from that I was okay. But I had an endless supply. Xanax is a whole different beast though

When you're an anxious person and you try xanax, you feel like you've found the answer, but you end up trapped in a hellish prison in no time. Even the "therapeutic effect" doesn't last. I've been on them for 10 years, and I've been struggling to come off of them for the past several years. But they don't even relieve anxiety anymore. And on top of that, I have what is more than likely permanent brain damage from them. It wasn't worth it.

Dude, I listened to your whole video, and to my knowledge and experience, it really sounds like your "work anxiety" is/was due to cocaine and or alcohol withdrawal. Partying hard for 2-3 days straight over the weekend and then essentially going cold turkey on Monday morning will produce terrible anxiety (I've been there) as the feel-good-drugs leave your body. And yes, if you take the Benzos, you will feel just fine and a small dose for the first day or so will get you through the withdrawals. In fact, it's the standard treatment for alcohol withdrawal and probably other withdrawals. Think hard and see if there is a pattern to your panic attacks or when you get those awful feelings (I had intense feelings of impending doom, panic, panic attack, sweaty palms, accelerated heart rate). My bet would be they were mostly triggered by cocaine and alcohol withdrawals. Unfortunately, Benzo addiction or withdrawal can be horrific as you heard via Jordan Peterson. But you may not suffer the same way. I agree, getting your own valium (also a benzo) sounds like your best bet since the "am witness" thing doesn't work for you. But shit you have to be strict with yourself and make sure you stick to your tapering program. I also agree the BC/Canadian ability to handle your addiction is probably inadequate. But basically, cold turkey isn't an option and tapering seems your only option. Get a good supply and taper. Long-term use of Xanax has a whole host of potential problems. IF one day you don' have your dose for whatever reason, your "Angel" will drop you on your head and run over you with a cement truck and you already know what that feels like. My simple unprofessional (but informed) observation and advice is to tapper. reduce your dose overtime. Research the heck out of what a good reduction/tapering schedule and dose reduction looks like. Xanax is not your friend. It's your addiction. Hopefully, your doc that you are trying to see to get out of the AM witness thing will help but not sure you can count on it. Hopefully you can. But hey in Canada, despite all the great doctors and not a bad medical system, you have to primarily steer your recovery or healthcare. No single doctor or counsellor seem to ever take primary responsibility for your treatment and recovery and see you the whole way through. They basically just dispense pills and medical procedures as indicated or allowed in the moment and won't take long term responsibility for getting you clean. My bet will be it's up to you. Jordan Peterson was addicted to Clonazepam for years. That's a big factor - length of time you have been dependent. Hopefully, your dependence has been shorter. Anyway dude, I've been casually interested in this topic for some time and this is just my two cents (or maybe 50cents). Here is some info I found regarding JPs situation which involved other factors and illnesses but here it is: Tapering: Initially, in North America, attempts were made by Peterson to taper off the benzodiazepine, which is a standard approach. Tapering involves gradually reducing the dose over time to minimize withdrawal symptoms. Treatment in Russia: When tapering didn't provide the desired outcomes, and due to severe withdrawal symptoms, the family sought alternative treatments. They chose a clinic in Russia that specialized in a different method. Rapid Detoxification: In Russia, Peterson underwent a procedure that involved a medically-induced coma to rapidly detoxify his body from the benzodiazepine. This approach is considered high-risk and isn't commonly practiced in many Western countries due to potential complications. Rehabilitation in Serbia: After the treatment in Russia, Peterson went to Serbia for further treatment and rehabilitation. He faced various health challenges during this period. It's essential to note that Peterson's experience is unique, and what might work or be chosen for one individual might not be suitable for another. Benzodiazepine withdrawal can be complex and potentially dangerous, so it's crucial for individuals to work closely with healthcare professionals when considering changes to their medication regimen or seeking detoxification. So good luck. You can do this. Many have. Dive deep into their experiences and find a community of people who have already done it so you aren't doing it alone and they can support you. Likely an online community. And if you ever misjudge your tapering program and experience horrible withdrawal, a very very small dose of the Xanax or whatever, should get rid of the feeling I would imagine. Just don't dose up to addicted-former-you levels. That's my guess. I would think its the same as severe alcohol withdrawal. The instant cure is to have a drink but not to get blasted again. Just enough to make the withdrawal manageable and bearable. Cheers.
This psychosis of anxiety happened when I was 100% sober, clean from everything. Idk if you watched my first video. But for awhile I was painting 100% sober, no drugs, and getting the same results. Definitely workplace related anxiety.
ive been through 2 stints of 100% drug and alcohol free.. Currently alcohol free since Aug 14, 2022.. But still get the same attacks, saying this pre taking the anti anxiety medication of course
@@LifeOnPaper141 Ok, I see. Ya, my impression was that Xanax was for acute attacks of anxiety, you pop a pill if and when you have an anxiety attack, but obviously I'm no doctor. One great thing you have going for you is motivation. You seem strongly motivated by the desire to be better and rid yourself of what holds you back or confounds your life. I know what you mean in your other video by sort of envying people who just give up and let their drug of choice just envelop them. But you obviously recognize that's not the way to go if you have any kind of medium to long-term interest in life. Motivation was key for me too. I think it is for any addict. I don't know if you have tried or considered it, but exercise and or meditation can help a lot of people. Intensive exercise immediately changes your hormonal state internally and can get you out of a bout of anxiety and habitual exercise in the long run also helps with anxiety. I once hear a psychologist say no one should be put on depression/anxiety meds unless they have really given exercise a good try. Lots of people would be fine with just that alone. Pretty sure anxiety comes from a flood of adrenaline that is released for some reason. I give it an outlet by taking a walk or even just dropping and doing 2-3 sets of push-ups. I'm essentially just fighting the hormonal/chemical environment it my body that can get out of wack.

Mate your story is super relatable to mine too, same age and anxiety caused from a job I take very seriously and partying on weekends. Led to daily xanax and fluoralprazalam addiction, the relief from panic was unbelievable like you say. Under uk drs supervision I switched to valium immediately and went down from 10mg pills very slowly over 6 months, down to 0.25mg. Super important to switch equivalent dose to valium it makes it 1000x easier. I feel for you and your addiction but I did want to clarify something you mentioned, know heroine or any opiate withdrawal can indeed kill you bc you lose control of all nervous system functions including your adrenaline glands. Which can cause you to go into cardiac arrest. I just wanted to educate so other people would also know that it’s not safe to come off opiates alone either. Hope you do well with coming off!
Depending on how bad the withdrawals get, self deletion can be a real possibility. So in that way opiate withdrawal can kill. When I was at my worst I would run thru my entire scrip of 320 30mg roxys in two weeks. I would then go thru withdrawals until the next dr appt. This went on for about 3 years and the withdrawals got worse and worse over time. When I was close to running out of pills I would get panic attacks and just absolutely dred going thru it again, and again. I wont say what I attempted or didnt attempt but I am still here to write about it fortunately. For opiates we have suboxone. Isnt there something like that for benzos these days? Suboxone saved my life as I have a back injury and in order to function/work I will be taking it for the rest of my life but the difference is PROFOUND. It literally saved me from my own mental prison and viscous circle of drug use. I feel for you bro and wish that you find peace. Its a tough existence that only those that have been down that dark road can relate to. God bless.
I came off it all by myself with kratom. It is a miracle. It must be used responsibly, as addicts tend to abuse it, and it can become addictive too. It is a safe miracle.
Stay strong, you can do it!!! But dont forget, the root of it all is a underlying issue. Theres a reason, why u feel like u feel, and the drugs are not a solution. Finiding the reason, is very difficult, but if you make it your life goal, its doable I believe. Im on similar path, and after almost 10 years on the path, I now realize what is happening to me and why. I did not find the solution YET, but Im getting there. Its a childhood trauma. And some other shit. That causes us a pain, which is unbearable, we find things to sooth us down. But this at the end, just delays the healing and takes us to the hell pits. Ive been to many. This healing, is a path of pain and suffering, but its worth it, and we dont have any other chance anyway. Some ppl struggle to realize why they are on this world, whats their purpose... Our purpose is to heal up. Its as simple as that. And during the process, we become grandmasters. Believe me!!! This whole shit we go thru, is a turbo-lesson. Growth on steroids. We chose this difficult path, before we were born. So dont mistake yourself for a weak person. We are the toughest. Remember that.

Xanax is a great chemical and works wonders for more patients than it hurts. The problem is never the chemical just the patients lack of self discipline and self control. I have been prescribed and taken xanax for almost 20 years. I go for days and weeks without taking them and it is no big deal because i decide that to be the case...mind over matter my friend stop dis-empowering yourself.
You don't understand addiction. CLEARLY. You are able to exhibit that "self-discipline" for one glaring reason: You aren't an addict. Simple as that. Addiction runs in genes, is a PHYSICAL abnormality in the brain of the ones affected and is not rooted in self-control. Now, self-control is a big part of getting clean, but it is learned, AND it is usually the last concept that needs to practiced when deciding to get sober. The first measure that needs to be taken however, is re-wiring you brain in some way shape or form through therapy, a group setting, time, or a combination of all 3. That being said, I know you think you know everything, and will probably say I'm an idiot and that addiction isn't a disease blah blah blah. However, 99% of trained medical professionals and people who know what they're talking about will disagree with you. So, why don't you get off your soap box, realize that your experiences are not universal, and realize that EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. God did your comment piss me off. Can't stand ignorance in general, but when it's projected onto others it is infinitely more frustrating.

just get some phenibut and broad spectrum CBD if you don't want to be using benzos those two will replace it and/or help you come off them. but absolutely do not use phenibut with cocaine, in fact cocaine and benzos very dangerous
Phenibut works on a different gaba receptor, you get a similar calming effect but it can not replace xanax.. I use to use Phenibut daily and had 0 withdrawal
it doesn't replace it entirely but it will allow you to withdrawal without danger or risk of seizure and if you take something like CBD with it you won't have too much of a problem, both phenibut and CBD work on similiar gaba receptors and I've had success coming off of most benzos without complete crisis using this method. if you are taking too many benzos you can try taking f-phenibut but you would have to be careful with that one and only use it to ween like suboxone or methadone cuz at that point your just trading off@@LifeOnPaper141

Xanax is a cruel bitch of a drug as it works soo well for anxiety nd seems to squash it straight away. But as the saying goes “no free lunch” coz coming off it your way worse off than when you started. But it’s a journey some of us have to go through unfortunately. Good luck nd you got this!!
I am currently in the works and i have an assessment coming up... trust me... and getting clean from xanax is one of the most complicated drugs.. its not just as easy as a simple detox.. you can, but that can have some major side effects
Dealt with Xanax addiction for three years, the last of which was done mainly by combining it with alcohol. I spent days in a jail cell with DTs induced by both. It takes a while to feel normal again after stopping it. Anxiety gets rebounded. What helped me was to engage in my hobbies
If I just stopped, I could possibly die.. I am looking and searching for the best way to going about this. I am not sure if you are familiar with Xanax withdrawal, but its not as simple as just "stopping".
God bless.
but since this video I have tapered myself down to 5 bars a day.

How did you get off methadone?
When it becomes evident that the anxiety that is induced by these medications is actually worse than the original anxiety disorder we were struggling with then we can think about quitting them. Then a person has the ability to play to their natural strengths, rather than to the weaknesses that these medications continually reinforce.
dude cigs and coffee elevate anxiety so much, you gotta leave that behind
The goal is to be 100% off of everything.
Yeah if your anxiety is really bad, I'd honestly suggest leaving those out sometimes, and another thing too, try smoking weed bro, that one will do wonders for you. It'll get you off the Xanax too by severely knocking down the severity of withdrawals, weed will help reset your brain back to baseline, it will also help deal with some of what was causing you the pain that led you to xanax and other substances to begin with.@@LifeOnPaper141
Cause one thing to note about Xanax vs something like weed, Things like Xanax mask these feelings memories and emotions, Weed makes you face it and helps you process it and put it to rest finally.

I have been addicted to opiates since 15. First heroin, then methadone and then they forced me to switch to suboxone because I took so much Xanax. I am still on it and horribly addicted to alcohol. I don't know what to do.
Suboxone doesn’t kill the cravings for alcohol? Maybe you need a higher sub dose, most people don’t have cravings for alcohol while on opioids.

When you're an anxious person and you try xanax, you feel like you've found the answer, but you end up trapped in a hellish prison in no time. Even the "therapeutic effect" doesn't last. What your doing in the video helps with anxiety. Connecting with Nature helps me a lot. 🙏☀ Look into Grounding/Earthing.
You got this, bro ❤
Taking Xanax only after a panic attack can increase the frequency of panic attacks through the principle of positive reinforcement.

Damn, 8 ladders is a lot to climb. Benzos scare the shit out of me. Almost as much as opioids. Im happy you you quit your addictions, or at least address it.

I know that junkie feeling, its part of the process but trust me you'll feel better without the endless rollercoaster of a marriage to benzos. Currently 1 year clean and doing well without, you can do this.
See they won't just give you Valium in Canada. Which sucks. I'm probably gonna have to do a detox program and take anti seizure medication
But I can't imagine just being thrown into the world without anything...... idk
@@LifeOnPaper141 sorry mate thats a really unfair system and makes no sense when it comes to your health. Might be worth looking into doing a valium taper yourself if you can get hold of some good quality. Rapid detox + anti seizure meds is just barbaric
@jamieabraham-brett2978 and I hate the people on heorin can just get methadone but I cannot get Valium... so annoying
I did heorin 1 time, overdosed and was offered to be put on a methadone plan.
Oh I can't do Xanax. Holy hell. The rebound anxiety is so bad..
I know, I feel trapped
Dude I get rebounds off of one or two dosages . I get tinnitus , flu like symptoms really angry and anxious . No appetite too

@@LifeOnPaper141are a lot of people addicted from "online reasech chemical labs" ? There was on in detox with me last summer. My junkie ass kept questioning him thinking it was some indian phrma lol..
Please don't even think of the last option; which is blue.
Speaking to someone whos been dealing aith this same shit in ontario for 10 years
this f*cking system 9-5 killing us
When benzos make me feel and not numb you know your messed up
Stay strong, you can do it!!!
I am the strongest man I know! Thanks for sharing. I pray for your peace.
@@LifeOnPaper141 thank you, dont worry, it will be ALL all-right :)

i used to rawdog buckets of benzos for years, cold turkeyd off them in 2019 and havent had any since. took a year maybe 2 to return to normal lol
holy fuck, how was the withdrawal?
@@LifeOnPaper141 super savage, skin felt like it was blistering off my body and my bones were made of electricity. @@L.argemikewhen do u start feeling a little bit normal
4:51 good background.. x)
Xanax is a great chemical and works wonders for more patients than it hurts. The problem is never the chemical just the patients lack of self discipline and self control. I have been prescribed and taken xanax for almost 20 years. I go for days and weeks without taking them and it is no big deal because i decide that to be the case...mind over matter my friend stop dis-empowering yourself.
thank you for the support and words of wisdom
Alcohol causes long term anxiety
Yes because it hits the same receptors as xanax
What is flu-az-apham? 6:10
its xanax's bigger brother
It's a research benzo flualprazolam you were saying it wrong.
Rohipnol?
And I'm a daily pick up better than not having any and methadone isn't free it's 5$ a dose kadian and if I take no benefits it's about 120$ a day no benefits
That sucks! I never got addicted to any of that but I got addicted to alcohol and weed at one point. Weed I have to stay away from cause I’ll end up not doing anything at all for about 2 to 4 days 😂
My friend:good heroin for one month, then ask for methadone, and your problem is solved😊
This helps. Im prescribed 4mg daily. For a couple years. Im 43 work in a shop. Methadone 90mg Carrie’s. Take the done in the morning,4mg Xanax when I get home at 5pm n stay inside till next morning
I wish you all the best! Hope you will find a doctor that will help you🌺🌺
I may have to be my own doctor
@@LifeOnPaper141Sometimes you have to. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
just get some phenibut and broad spectrum CBD if you don't want to be using benzos those two will replace it and/or help you come off them. but absolutely do not use phenibut with cocaine, in fact cocaine and benzos very dangerous
@@LifeOnPaper141is there coffee in that? Do you make it at home and take it places to save getting ripped off in shops?
@antoneckhart4010 yes I made that coffee
But can you come off of phenibut without withdrawal?
methadone isn't free. and depending on the severity of an opiod addiction it can kill you, ntm most fentanyl these days are mixed heavily with chinese lab benzos which are stronger than anything you can get prescribed
I was just talking from a subjective side of view. When I overdosed on heorin I was instantly offered a free methadone plan and my friend she has been on it for two years and has never had to pay once.
@@LifeOnPaper141 afaik mine is only free because I'm on ODSP many people I know on it do have to pay. it's only free ii you have health insurance or a form of welfare.

100p I got this, just gotta figure it out! Thanks for the love and support.
This isn't supposed to sound mean it's the truth. It seems like you're making excuses for yourself you want to get clean go to NA
I am currently in the works and i have an assessment coming up... trust me... and getting clean from xanax is one of the most complicated drugs.. its not just as easy as a simple detox.. you can, but that can have some major side effects
And who among us hasn't doc shopped for that crap. If it feels too good to be true.....oops...red flag!!!
Dealt with Xanax addiction for three years, the last of which was done mainly by combining it with alcohol. I spent days in a jail cell with DTs induced by both. It takes a while to feel normal again after stopping it. Anxiety gets rebounded. What helped me was to engage in my hobbies
What also helped me was exposing myself to environments in which I could be myself rather than surroundings which would induce my anxiety
