    This works like a charm. I've got a dozen largemouth. In the past couple of weeks. 4 inch white yum worm. The other worm is green and brown. It kills them. I'm in mason city iowa. Fishing public ponds.

    Ike, you are a genius! I threw this this past weekend when the lake had a case of collective "lock jaw" . Less than 10 casts and I pulled a nice fish off of some pads with this. Thanks!

    Lol that's crazy. I just had a conversation with my dad the other day about flying lures. He bought some when I was a kid, and we found some in an old tacklebox in the garage. Along with a bunch of other old school stuff like banjo minnows.

    Mike your excitement is contagious. By far you are the most entertaining pro fisherman out there. Sometimes I wish I could just spend a week or two with you just soaking up every little bit of information I can to make me a better fisherman. The videos you put out are the next best thing. Most people sit around and binge watch things like Game of Thrones or Shameless. I binge watch fishing videos on TH-cam. I take notes and study fishing videos and have to say that I have picked up more of the little things to alter widely used techniques from you and because of it I not only catch more fish but I have also caught bigger fish. Keep it up and if you ever come to southeast Wisconsin, look me up! lol

    I think it's the flat bottom that helps it glid like that too. I could see how that would glide alot futher back under stuff too in deeper water. Gonna have to try that on my new Abu revo! Man mike I've been Lew's for years but I picked up my buddies revo and it was hands down smoother and lighter so I got one lol Your techniques have helped me get my pb too so thanks for taking the time to do these

    • @hybridmaster13
      @hybridmaster13 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Banjo Minnow is one you should not let rot. Bass choke that thing, so bad that they outlawed it in some tournaments, because the fish swallow it so hard, and it would always wind up killing a few.

    Mike I know you probably don't look at the comments but you have been my guy for years. I'm originally from asbury park new jersey area now I've been in south Florida. I want one of your combos in a 7'6" style but I wanted to know can I use it in saltwater to for snook and reds with out hurting the reel. I want to do both bass and snook need advice please help if you have time. NEVER GiVE UP. Your awesome keep it up

    • @mikeiaconellifishing
      @mikeiaconellifishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the kind words Howard! The fishing in South FL is epic. Any time you take fishing gear in salt water areas you'll need to make sure you rinse them down very well with fresh water when you are done and keep them well oiled. Even if the reel/rod do not get wet with salt water, the salt in the air can still be as damaging.

    The tips of how you lean your body and rod with the bait as it falls! ❤️ Also the tip of that slight slack line is so key.
    One of my favortite back slide action baits is a yamamoto fat ika rigged upside down on a 3/0 ewg hook. I have missed many many bites becase of to much slack and also not watching the line. Awesome video Mike!
