TOYOTA PRADO FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARMS Control arm bushes deteriorated usually 200,000k 300,000k. Fourby4diesel reccomends using genuine bushes or change the entire arm.
The superpro arms are around 650 for the pair with the new camber pins. Poly bushes work well in the lower arms no increased NVH that is noticeable. Very common for the bolts to seize in the arms. If has been off road and around 100k I would almost guarantee they are seized.
Or you can get the superpro bushes pressed out and replace them with Toyota still end up with genuine Toyota for under $1,000.
i guess its better to just buy the whole arm because u get the bushes and ball joint.
My 150 is just On 60k, mechanic saying a need to get the Bushes replaced? I service with Toyota by the book and have also tyre rotated every 10k- Seems a off that Id only get 60 from a set?

My mechanic quoted $1200-1600 to replace all 4 lower control arms, dependant on how many he has to cut out due to seizing.

Just bought a set of low arm for $300.

@@Fourby4Diesel they look exactly like the genuine ones and my currently only failed after 350k kms. I guess I will see how they go.

Mechanic said "balljoint has play" recommended to replace both LCA, for better alignment, car travelled 150k. Nothing but problems since. Cornering nightmare. New front tires done after3,500km. Accountability? "Not our fault!"..... Any advice how to proceed? What are my rights? {Australia)
