this is great! I love these small campers as they are great for road trips, not just "camping". thanks for sharing this with us, enjoy your weekend nick, cheers!
The suction cup shower mount is so you can stick it outside the window and have the shower out the window and shower outside. Perfect if you're covered in mud or using it at the beach.
Lovely one this one very cool 😎 indeed. I’m a big fan of the pop top on campers as it’s a extra sleeping space without losing any other space. As always thanks for the tour Nick
Great camper , I’ve got the Hymer Yellowstone in black , never see them on the road . Love the 4x4 and pop roof , one trick you can do with the shower and sucker , is open the window and stick it outside for an out side shower .. handy for sandy feet !
Thank you Nick and of course the owners of this brilliant vehicle for letting us look over this Hymer, The description was clear and precise and answered all the questions I didn't think to ask, I will be getting mine in early Spring 23 so I look forward to then. Cheers Nick.
Very well sorted vehicle, and they've crammed everything in with remarkably few compromises. As James May says 'everything you need, and nothing you don't'.
Many vans are "compact" which means put it all in, then mush everything together to make room for the driver. Not so here. Another bonus is the stand up head room AND a pop top just for sleeping (many vans REQUIRE pop tops for standing which makes for interesting sleeping). Good job, HYMER and thanks Nick, for the tour.
Hi Nick, And that is a nice surprise there is a lot of space in the van, nice to hear there are solar panels on the roof but also great four wheel drive nice when people want to go off road a big bed in the back and very nice the extra bed on the roof that one I didn't saw coming Thanks Nick a great show
Wow what a fantastic vehicle and how lovely of the Owner to contact you! It’s awesome, I’ve just posted a letter off to Santa Claus! Thanks for a brilliant tour! Amazing! 🤩
I had to click this video to see that it wasn't somebody ripping off your Aquaholic or at least getting close to the bone! but pleasing to see that your behind this also 👍 great review as always 👌
That’s a nice small apartment in Berlin with a proper roof, a tub, a 4 burner stove, and here’s the kicker: it won’t depreciate in value. If I want to sleep in an expensive tent, I’ll get myself a Hilleberg and I’ll still have 129 000 Quid for the apartment in Berlin.
that type of camper van has continued to get more popular over here in the states for both weekenders and folks switching to the van life. I think the pandemic has changed folks outlook on doing things they want...full time. with internet everywhere, including the ever increasing popular StarLink. after working from home, folks realizing they can now live that lifestyle full time. sharp looking van from mercedes. hope to see the vendors increase this market. I know the VW van is the defacto standard for this. like to see the other vendors keep the "keep it simple" design that VW is famous for. cheers nick...hope you're weekend is spendid! - Mark from NorCal...cheers mate!
Ahoy Nick...I definitely agree with you that this Hymer is a very cool machine. One quick note on that water heater shutting off when that window is open...I forget where I saw it, but I watched another review of this vehicle that pointed out that Hymer needs to find a better solution to the issue of fumes from the heater. What this other reviewer pointed out is that it means that you cannot have hot water and decent ventilation of the living space as long as the heater shuts off automatically when that window is open...especially on models that have the popup camper option and thus no option for roof vents. So yes, from one point of view, the auto shutoff is a cool safety feature, but from the point of view of living with this camper on a daily basis, it it actually quite a bit of an inconvenience. 💯✌
Great bit of kit but the off grid living bolt on’s seemed a little gimmicky 95 watts of solar and a axe shovel thingy!? But a very nice 4x4 camper van.
Black is a brave colour for a camper when it doesn't appear to have AC and I think 2 people would have to sleep sideways on the bed at the back as they would be on the joins of the mattress otherwise.
Looks the business, well laid out I like the two toilet cassettes and the build quality looks top class. llWould be up to any adventure and go Anywhere.
Very very cool… BUT…. I prefer more room for a shower period. If they had made a better stairs and a deck with a lounge in the back with the doors open it would be perfect for two persons. 4 is to many in this relatively small vehicle. But very very nice van
@@vanlifekvarnsweden : I already have an ultra long Sprinter as a Motorhome. It's absolutely excellent in every way. I did my own conversion, (I used to build custom dayvans), and gave the van a 2" suspension lift and a 3litre V6 engine and 8 speed auto box. The van's on lpg too, purely for economy. I think a similar exercise from someone like Hymer would need an extra axle and 6x6 drive. It would undoubtedly be awesome, but incredibly expensive. Probably priced way out of market reality. Anything is do-able, but I'm the first to agree that that's not necessarily a good reason to do it. I've created some monsters in my time; outrageous prize-winners, but practical? Not a chance!
@@davidmwood560 I totally agree with the long wheelbase according to a motorhome. But not as an offgrid trail monster. I’ll go with short wheelbase all the way. We also do our conversions But att this point We probably cut some corners due to time. And head for the Hymer. OR maybe the Kabe Travelmaster van. That badboy is longwheelbase 😂🙈
Nice van. One thing the owner should do is put some sound deadening and insulation in the back doors. After seeing another video, and hearing the noise of those doors opening you can tell they are empty. Which as much as I love hymer is bad on a 120k van.
To koupím taky!! A kajeny pro všechny!!! Ale barák neprodám :D Je předraženej... Jediné, že by mě Mulač okradl a já ho prodal o pět milionů levněji... Máte dost :D
Really nice camper, something I could buy and go for adventure around Europe. I see another nice car at backround. Perhaps someone upgrated his SL 400 to SL 500. 😁
It's not being cut off. New vehicle sales with petrol or diesel engines are apparently going to be stopped (I'll believe that when it happens as the infrastructure to support all new vehicles being electric is a pipe dream currently), but they're not going to come around and take everyone's current petrol or diesel cars off them!
Good luck running the fridge from 95w of solar...never mind a TV... And there's no locker to store the filled toilet cassette... vertical is ok for an empty cassette, but a full one needs to lie horizontal. Nice van for a Summer weekend, but more than that would a real pain.
Putting the LPG cylinder under the vehicle and the reverse lights hanging down is an unusual choice for something that is designed to be taken off-road. 95 Watts of solar panels isn't enough for 300Amp hours of leisure batteries. Seems overpriced at £120,000.
Very impressive but 95 Watts of solar is a complete waste of time. Assuming low battery on the 300ah lithium batteries it would take literally days and days of sunlight to charge them back up. Otherwise you are running your engine which isn't always ideal.
Lovely rig! I do wonder about a black vehicle... seems like it could get awfully hot in the sun, especially at places in the States like the "Grand Canyon."
It may look cool but the price must be a mistake or a joke. 120k and they can't even give you a display for the vehicle status? Just some crappy little lights next to some percentages? Come on...
I think this vehicle is too small for 4. Given the lack of cooking equipment (no grill, oven, or microwave), I would've had a one person bed at the back, moved the bathroom to the rear, and put an oven and grill where the bathroom currently is. It's all very nice, but it's a huge amount of money to the extent I'd consider it poor value.
I don’t know if it is just the way it looks on my computer but it looks very claustrophobic. 😮 maybe it might not in person. Looks very hard for two people to walk around. I’m probably better in a motor home.
I'm not into motorhomes but for this price I'd rather have a motorhome than a van. You could probably build a less fancy version yourself for half the price. It is nice but questionable value, you'd have to use it every holiday until the end of your life to break even

Very well sorted vehicle, and they've crammed everything in with remarkably few compromises. As James May says 'everything you need, and nothing you don't'.
Now this is special! Ive been hoping you would have one of these for a while
The Germans are so good with conversions like these. Quality, style and design British campers could only dream of.
Very good at dramatically over charging for them as well, this is just a normal camper on a 4Wd chassis but for twice the price.
Thank you and thanks to the owner for offering to share....really cool machine!
I'm not that big a fan of campervans but this is excellent.
Many vans are "compact" which means put it all in, then mush everything together to make room for the driver. Not so here. Can't agree more, one of the best and compact motor home.
The hymer with the expandible shower. Coolest thing I've seen.
That is my ideal camper. Festivals and rough camping. That is awesome.
Brilliant. You can really see the quality in this unit
Very nice for the weekends, and some extended trips too.Thank you Nick, and to the owners too,for sharing this.
Hiya Nick, I love how the inside is payed out and how it can fit many things in and I like the colour scheme.
Quality van. Storage light for coats etc but definitely lucky owner, thanks for show round.
Our pleasure!
you always do an excellent review, and film it all perfectly, along with a perfect commentary... now thats multitasking...😊👍
Thank you so much 😃
Really like this camper van. Thanks for sharing
You are right Nick - a brilliant camper! wow.
Those lithium batteries cost over £1200 each !! Love the look. Love the interior too.
Hi Nick. V6 mercedes, 4x4 with 4 berths. Rugid and practical. Great tour thanks 😊
These kind of vans are my favorite. Another one I really like is the Winnebago Revel in the states. Thanks for the tour!
This by far a superior design to Winnebago's Revel, IMO. And much better built too, I expect. Thank you for showing it!
Looks a real belter wish it were mine x
The owners are right it is brilliant.

If you want an apartment, you're definitely better off buying an apartment. These tend to be bought by people who want a really nice camper van. 🙂
@@MOTAHOLIC I think my point got lost on you.
For 130k I can get a really nice and spacious camper van, or an apartment in Berlin.
This is neither.
Mirror waves missing sadly on motorhome tours.

I enjoyed watching the Video. Looks very cool with some great features
Nice machine! Would have been a good opportunity for a `meet the owner` style video too considering it was a private owner that contacted you. 👍👍
My new favourite, very smart 👍❤️🇬🇧
Lovely camper. If you can nick review the hymer 570 mlt crossover if possible
What’s the axe holder and how do I get one
Perfect, realistically sized especially for Cornish roads and lanes.
Looks the business, well laid out I like the two toilet cassettes and the build quality looks top class. llWould be up to any adventure and go

Ticks all the boxes
I’m guessing it can be driven on a standard UK car license
Very very cool… BUT…. I prefer more room for a shower period. If they had made a better stairs and a deck with a lounge in the back with the doors open it would be perfect for two persons. 4 is to many in this relatively small vehicle. But very very nice van
I think I'd use the pop top to sleep in and keep the downstairs open. When in the wilderness anyway, not in an asda car park 😄
£120k?! Someone's taking the piss
Best ever machine
Pretty cool machine; imagine what could be done with an extra long wheelbase Sprinter!! Very clever thinking gone into that one, typical of Hymer.
Try a longwheelbase sprinter offroad. And you will figure why Hymer used this for a base.

I mean, yeah this is nice. But is £120,000 the actual price? I wouldn't really put this near the £80,000 mark. Maybe £45,000 -£50,000?

The only tradeoff you have is there will be no A/C for the house portion of the van and only one roof fan as you have the bed above you.
