Could be the flimsiest sink solution we've seen in any of these to date. 😂 Does not belong in a vehicle demanding that huge price I think. Overall, too much money for what you get in this build.
We've had a 4x4 w907 built by one of the uk sports home builders. Ours is particularly higher spec in terms of the gadgets, but the fit and finish is not at the same level as this hymer. You're paying for a beautifully implemented, compact 4x4 motorhome built on the best and most reliable contemporary van money can buy.
I’m not convinced about the £114k value. Yes Hymer quality etc etc but they have just crucified the quality/value combo. Every brand is upping the costs because in the UK motorhome market has added 40% on the prices. Yet their is competition in Germany and France and left hand prices are realistic. I can get a fantastic stunning Adria 6.3 m van with everything I need for 70k euros. Wait until the world recession kicks in and in two years everyone will understand how UK rip off works. 🤣👍🏼
Hi Nick, And thank you for this nice show of this Hymer Grand Canyon S a very nice camper it is a great color in black and four wheel drive great, a nice idear that tent on the roof that sleeps 2 people the little bathroom with everything in it what you need a nice camper for a nice trip around Europe Thanks again Nick a great show
I’m honestly not a fan of this one but one thing I haven’t seen on many is that window in the bathroom. Which you could also put the shower through and clean off stuff outside if you wanted.
You recently reviewed the Knaus Boxlife, which comes in at slightly more than half the price of this van. The Boxlife is better equipped, with nicer materials, IMHO. Hymer seem to have a very loyal customer base.
she's a beauty, love the black paint with that white stripe! this is great because it's just a van, not too big. it's even great if you take long trips, my niece lives around a 10 hour drive from us and we drive out to see her and this would be amazing for the trip. thanks for showing us this nick, enjoy your weekend, cheers!
Lovely camper. I would have microwave built in or clamping facility for a microwave. fold down tv for those unplanned rainy days. Love the extra bedding with proper ladder access. Thanks Nick 👌
love your van and boat videos, always positive and interesting. Regarding the looks of this one... for me it needs beefier tyres as currently it looks a bit like a clown van all raised up and only on standard wheels
There is a company here in the states that makes copies of these. In fact, if you look up Triple F collection, which you probably follow anyway Nick, they are having one built and it is Hymer based I believe. Anyways, very similar to it. TJ Hhnt also had a Mercedes 4x4² that he had outfitted as a camper with a roof tent and other things. In Florida of course the heat is unbearable. They have small portable AC systems with a plug in battery pack, but I don't know if they would be sufficient to cool a vehicle that big with 4 people in it.
If there's any chance you can ever get inside a Hymer VisionVenture, that would be amazing to see. I'm not even sure if they're in production yet. I could only find rendering videos from 2019, but they had a real one at a car show in Düsseldorf in 2019. The only one I can seem to find.
You are confusing a concept model with a production model. If you want to see the Vision Venture you need to go the the Hymer museum in Bad Waldsee; well worth the visit.
At £114 k I wouldn’t be wanting to mod anything! Off road capabilities but cream leather and light woodwork doesn’t make sense to me. I suspect these will be used to look the part but not venture beyond a camp site
@@alanpaton694 You would want the Crossover version then, same money same model but from memory it's winterised(insulated waste tank etc) and comes with AT tyres fitted
There are other European manufacturers that use Unimog, Zetros and MAN chasses to make "overlanders" (American) and "expedition vehicles" (European). But you are going to need special licenses and REALLY, REALLY deep pockets to build, operate and maintain those, though.
@@9VARZ You don't need to go that extreme Randger & Karmann Mobil both make a sub 6m under 3.5 ton camper with the same layout as the Hymer for around £60,000 both 4x4 and both are Transits based
I like the usability of this, great for a couple touring Europe with interior storage for bikes when away from the van. I just wish the Erwin Hymer Centre website would put prices on their website. I made the mistake of enquiring about something on there once and received marketing emails for about 3 years… Would be interested on how it drives on motorways on a breezy day. 4x4 would be handy if just pulling off the road near a beach etc. wouldn’t want to go too far though. I get some comments about the sink not looking great, but if it works, that’s fine. Was there decent storage under the rear bed?
Really? £100k+ for a cramped van-based vehicle with a "curtain-clingy" in the bathroom? Would anyone really drive a high-lift road van with road tyres off the road? Hopefully you can get it fitted with a Seakeeper to keep it stable in high winds and off road 😉
Wow someone is angry. You ever buy a Subaru that’s standard awd or a Mercedes’ AMG? They never come with the tires they’re “supposed” to have on them because 99% of people will never need it. If you need it you upgrade.
I like both your channels and fancied idea of getting a camper van but the idea of emptying a cassette toilet puts me off why can't they have pump toilets like on boats, I appreciate may not be practical on small vans but why not on bigger models?
Wow. Soooo over priced. Doesn’t exactly look to be a great fit out and those wheels and tyres on a raised van need changing. Nah I’ll pass for that price
like all these type of vans, not really for use as designed!!! Off grid go anywhere, 4 adult van and just a two burner hob how are you supposed to cook for 4 on two burners
I get that its a 4x4 but £114K for something the size of a Transit is a lot of money.
Black looks good BUT it will be really hot inside on a sunny day (fine for the U.K. 😜) I’d definitely go for a light colour.

Will it come with proper wheels rather than cotton bobbins as an option?

Great to see a 4X4
Good looking clearance, Could ford waterways in Scotland and get really far away.
50k is the real value here, honestly the prices are ridiculous, not even colour coded bumpers.

That's a wonderful Van Nick Sir.. Looks nice... And as always looking Dashing Nick Sir 😍
Love that. Defo change the tires though. Would be awesome for festivals.

Wouldn’t you think they would put proper 4x4 tyres on in stead of road tyres otherwise what’s the point of it especially at that price
Proper getting yourself into the wild? Not on those tyres Nick, you’d get stuck on a shingle driveway.
Just what I was going to say!

They make a very nice home away from home. But the kitchens are all so small. But I wouldn't turn one down. Thank you Nick.
Love the pop top 👍

@@travelcampervansandmore I know it's a concept model, that's why I said I don't think they're even in production yet.
Is it an all wheel drive or a proper 4 wheel drive where you have to select 4 wheel drive.
Does it have rear diff lock.
Nice van ...I do hope you are over at the British Motor Yacht Show though. I'm going to need a new yacht tour for my Sunday coffee tomorrow. 😉
Odd that it had highway tires for being a off-road 4x4
£114 K... jeez! I'm in the wrong business. 😎
Am I missing something?? 114k for that? 🙈
Nice van for a bit of wild camping
Needs bigger off-road wheels and tyres
You could mod it?

Great video Nick.
4 WD are brilliant in a camper.
Awesome interior and i like its not are white like all the others.
Is this a manual or automatic transmission

Can’t work out the justification for the price.
Hi Nick. Cool van, off road transport. Like the roof tent. Great video thanks 😊
raised up but then it has some super junky tires. this needs a set of 35'' BFGs asap

Wow Fantastic I M Parker From India I Like Caravan Camper Van
Would rather have the rear set up as a wrap around settee for added comfort but overall a great vehicle 👍
Preposterous price for a van conversion.
Wow what a van !
Lovely motorhome and video 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nick, you need a gopro head attachment so you don't have to use one hand

I they do on some, I think the RC8M I filmed recently had one.
Hello. Have a safe blessed day! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Beautiful motor home
Two things bother me with this one, showing with a sink in the way and the price.
114k for that you would have to be mad or overpaid. Sorry but there is so much better value out there.
You really need a vest harness for your go pro buddy 😂. Hands free then 🙌
I enjoyed watching the Video. A very nice Motorhome with some great features. I particularly like the Push up Top Roof
That does not look like a 100k+ van! Why nasty grey plastic bumpers?
This isnt even worth half that price tag 🤯
I would rather have a bigger bath,a separate shower and one bed than the tiny bath. They should make big bathrooms trailer's.
Wow. Soooo over priced. Doesn’t exactly look to be a great fit out and those wheels and tyres on a raised van need changing. Nah I’ll pass for that price

Yeeaaaah.... I think I'll pass thanks.
😍
It’s a lot of money for
Something so
Small whatever the quality
Just does not look right for the money. Way too cramped inside. I don’t like the layout. And the bathroom is a cheap option for a premium van.
broh
Total rip off of a price guys please buy a van yourself and do it yourself or even get someone to do it for you save atleast 20k don't be silly
Not for me that one.
Too much money
Very cool van. That’s a great feature being a 4x4. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🚐🚐🚐🚐🚐🚐
