Is the British flag painted on the mirror cap or is it just a sticker on top of the plastic cap? I know it comes from the factory looking like that. But is it a sticker or actual paint?

You can pull the mirror caps off with your hand you don't need to stick a screwdriver or anything else in them. The first generation and second generation minis were a lot harder. But the third gen just grab it I normally use both hands and just pull them right out.
Best video on the subject. Couldnt get the grapple-hard-and-swiftly-pull technique to work at all. Tape and a butter knife are all you need.
Don't actually do what this guy does. Just pull them off. They're designed to be pulled off with one hand. I work at a MINI dealership.

That's not a Mini Cooper, it's a Medium Cooper.
clips are located between the sections of tape.
