Keen to follow that tank as the visual impact of the dimensions are impressive. The colours in that green chalice are sweet. Look forward to seeing that again.
Hey Cam, I've had great long term success with sticking magnets for wavemakers in a heavy duty vacuum sealer bag. I've got a few in AIO's, the pump on the back glass and the magnets in the sump area, the magnets have been under water for years and they're still dry as a bone! That would at least allow you to get a magnet into the overflow box and have some flow in the upper right corner. You could also have some right angle brackets 3D printed that could magnet to the glass and then hold the pump against the back wall, depending what powerheads you go with. The challenge should be fun! Best of luck!
This tank is pretty cool. You guys might want to concentrate a bit on getting that surface overflowing properly. That oil slick on top of the tank is going to block a lot of that light you are going to be needing.
Ania has a 30 gallon tank with a baby Banana and a baby PJ wrasse. Lots of wrasse will be good whilst they’re small, but keep a cover on it as they’re prone to jumping. Cam
I got a decent, inexpensive pegboard setup with hooks & shelves from IKEA. I used the strong rare earth magnets to hang it in the empty side of Red Sea Reefer 350.
Amazingly perceptive. Yes. It can happen when the overflow gets algae in the weir combing, especially when there isn’t a strong return flow. I clean the weir every visit to this tank for this reason. Cam
I love deep tanks but I'm guessing it must be a challenge to mount corals in the lower half of the tank. It seems like a lot of hobbyists over here in the states opt out for a shallower tank. My next tank will have some good height and depth. Thanks for sharing this tank!
@@GalleryAquaticaTV A coral which is shamefully underrated and underused is porites cylindrica. It would be cool on the top too. If I had the space i would do a tank just for that coral
You guy's have done an amazing job with the restraints and challenges with this tank! It's looking good already!
Beautiful system ❤
Cool system, thanks for showing us something different!
Glad you liked it Sam! Cheers for watching :)

As always looking forward to seeing your next video
As always thanks for your support😊 Cam
Very nice good work
Thanks for watching! Cam
This looks like a nightmare to maintain. Nice to see something a little different. Everyone seems to be shallower not deeper
Getting your armpits wet gets old fast lol
great vlog brother
Appreciate it, thanks for watching :)
Very cool system! Awesome video!
Thanks Franklin😊 Cam

Was thinking exactly the same thing regarding the overflow box
Great idea! I’ll give this a go when I feel I need to up the water movement. Cam
Definitely a interesting tank shape in a good condition. But I am would be to lazy to manage this tank.
I agree! And in my case, I’m also way too short 😂

Can’t wait to see the final outcome to this tank! What wrasses do you recommend for a 40 gallon cube? Thanks!

@@GalleryAquaticaTV Thanks Cam!!
Time for a nice big chunk of Dallas up top me thinks 😉
Great idea! Iconic Aussie Acropora choice 🇦🇺
May I ask what are those boards you used on the wall in the sump room to hold the equipment up
It’s called Celuka. It’s like a plastic particle board that is fully waterproof. Cam

Is that biofilm on the surface of the water? How is that possible with an overflow?

It is definitely a trend towards shallow tank’s lately so I’ve enjoyed the challenge of this one. Cam
I would hate to be the one that has to glue corals in that tank lol!
uhf, as a tall guy this tickles my fancy! Inspirational. :)
M. Digitata at the top wouldn't shade too much I think?
We’re definitely going to add Digi on some of the top points for that exact reason. Cam

epic tank - hard dims
As always, very accurate assessment. Thanks Sunny😊 Cam
How much was this whole system
Hard to say as it was built into the house during a renovation, but similar tanks usually go for $20-$30k Australian. Cam
I love talls, but maintaining makes me stick to 25" high
It’s a lot harder to manage your own setup once the water reaches your armpit and you still aren’t able to touch the bottom 😅
Ania
Hmmmm different :)
I think this tank will be one of the best in 1-2 years time😊 Cam
Should have gone for a bit of a closed loop for movement
That definitely would make water flow better, but there’s concrete behind and below which makes it difficult to do. Cam
Too much blue. Can't make out the color of the corals.
