I recently bought the Stratus Jacket and Bibs and went to my yearly Ohio hunt. I layered a Columbia thermal shirt, Fanatic Hoodie and then Stratus jacket. Going out on morning hunt with temps in mid 20s warming up to upper 30s low 40s by mid day with 15mph NW winds and I have never been warmer in my 20 years of hunting Ohio early to mid November. It literally allowed me to stay in tree longer with comfort. I have heard all the hype for years about Sitka and finally bit the bullet this year and have 0 regret. Best money ever spent on my hunting passion. THIS SYSTEM IS LEGIT!!!!! For reference, I am 51 years old and from SE Virginia on the coast where it doesn't really get cold so it's not like I am used to cold weather either. Thanks FSR for your honest and accurate reviews!!!
I wore this in high 20s to low 30s with a moisture wicking base, fanatic hoodie, and an ambient jacket up top, and found myself having it open most of the day when the sun was out because it is warm! I carried the traverse just in case I needed another layer but never did.
Been running this in mid 20s this week with first lite furnace base and ambient hoody or Aerolite . I feel like I run cold and I’ve been warm as can be!
NE ohio hunter here. Been watching your videos since I got into hunting last season. I don't own any sitka yet, but your videos about proper layering under the stratus jacket helped me immensely with this carhartt super dux jacket I have. It's kinda like a windcuter light water resistant material. Any who, used it as an outer shell. Worked so great I actually had to take it off due to insulating correctly. Thanks so much for your knowledge. My first piece iof sitka is going to be the midi pants. Stay safe out there. Happy hunting
Furnace base layer, ambient or origin hoodie and the stratus gets me through rifle season or later usually. This year had to take a few layers out though. Unusually warm.
I’ve bought the Bibs already, and today at my local shop I actually tried the Jacket on over my Duck Oven. Can’t wait to put my system to work in Tennessee during the Rut.
If you can go some type of insulations mid layer under it helps a ton. I have the Sitka kelvin active but the source jacket or ambient or something like that would work
Hello, I already have merino wool baselayer top and bottom. Sitka apex pants and jacket. Fanatic hoodie and equinox hoodie. And fanatic bibs. Would you recommend me to get the stratus jacket or fanatic jacket?
Man I love my pants over the bibs. Only problem is the pants don’t have leg zippers for venting. But by the time I wear bibs it’s into the fanatic bibs. Just depends if you want to layer for cold or wear alone. Just my 2 cents. Good luck
What I meant to say in a previous post that I worded wrong, was why not put a gore-Tex waterproof membrane in rather than gore wind stopper, than it might be worth the 300 dollar price tag.

Literally the best sitka item you've recommended. My favorite piece

Thanks, man. I'm getting this in Subalpine for early season archery. It's on sale currently. Your review decided for me.

Here in Canada, I went with the stratus bibs, fanatic jacket. Seems to work for me.

Just got 2 of the shirts you have on. On sale for $70 each. Very comfortable.
I assume you are close to Alabama and was wondering what is the best camo for early season deer in the east part of the state such as piedmont
Hello,

Use this jacket with some quality merino wool base layer a fanatic hoody and a heated vest your golden down to the 30's
Love that jacket just wished they could do something like a cross zip like the fanatic has.
Get the Fanatic vest and run it over top of your Stratus jacket, works great.
Where can I get that shirt you have on in the video? I can never find anywhere.
I’m going to get the stratus pair but what would you recommend getting the stratus pants or stratus bibs?
The bibs are the better purchase.
@@jamesstrickland2707 that’s what I’m thinking only 50 dollars more and they cover up a spot that wind likes to come into

What are your thought on the everyday pant ?

What do y’all think about the new jet stream vs the stratus
I have both and I just feel like the Jetstream is more versatile. Not as quiet as the Stratus but not loud.
Can a traverse hoodie fit underneath the stratus jacket?
Yes
