From the bottom of my heart I’d like to thank you for sharing this knowledge. Now I have just got a whole lot of hours to meticulously program every library I have to compose classical music. This was eye opening! Wish you a successful and productive new year! Keep up the good tutorials! Chris.
words fail to adequately describe how fucking incredible you are for making this

Thank you so much, Alex. You have no idea how much that means for fairly new composers like me. I really, really appreciate it and love your passion about this whole genre. You're a great person.
Guys, in case you as well were not able to connect each channel to separate Mixer track, you might want to check the article from native instruments, their explanation helped me! Just search in the search engine: "How to Create Multiple Outputs in KONTAKT and Route Them to a DAW", worked for me immediately!
As someone who's been working with FL studio for a while now, This is like super useful. For a beginner maybe a little confusing but if you have worked for a few months you have come across at least a few of these problems. For me personally 90 percent of what you said here was brand new and practical. Thanks!
Hey Alex I recently starting composing music again and I knew I had to create a template and found this video instantly as I had watched this in the past but didn't really make the effort to make an orchestral template. I finally made it and wanted to give you a huge thanks! Not only for this video but countless other tutorials you have made for aspiring composers :)
Alex, I've been following your videos for years through like 3 youtube accounts. Your a great teacher, so much so that I've been able to sell some of my music. Just wanted to show appreciation. Thanks
Thank you so much for this video, I'm getting into orchestration in FL Studio and I've been looking on how to articulate the velocity of single notes. I found much more useful information than I hoped by going from one of your videos to another. It's a good thing that you mention your other videos and have link to them in the description. Thanks again and, keep rocking in the free world \m/
I actually can't believe I've been doing music for like 12 years and it took this video to explain to me why the fuck my reverb always sounds wrong. What a fucking epiphany.
SUPER helpful. It will make my workflow faster because it will be better organized. I was mixing in Miroslav Philarmonik 2 but something in the back of my mind was telling me that I was missing out on THIS level of mixing.
Thank you so much, Alex! I just discovered you after Image-Line's Facebook page shared your "Pirates of the Caribbean" medley. You're so talented, and I'm going to binge watch all of your videos and learn! Thanks, Alex!
9:17 I'm studying orchestras while watching videos. Do i have to bring in all the instruments and use the BBC orchestra symphony? Can only Kontak save RAM and cpu like this?
Kontact has a dropdown menu in the mixer that will automatically route all loaded instruments into their own channel. dont know if this is a new feature since i just downloaded kontact but just an FYI for everyone. Thanks Alex for this very helpful video.
Thanks for your work and guide, I just wish the kontakt channels and some of the rest would be in a Cubase tutorial. In Cubase I can't find the way to make in Kontakt the channels like you did.
Alex can you do a tutorial about buildups and transitioning in the future? My transitions sound weak and don't really bring the track forward so a tutorial from you would help alot.
This is just Awesome Alex, I'm a new patreon waiting for day one, but I did my own template this way, step by step, it was a lot of work but I learned a lot as well, so thanks you very much again
great video Alex! The basic principles you outline in the video apply to any DAW really, so this is a great resource for everybody, cheers! Also, have you considered using Vienna Ensemble Pro? I do, although on a single machine, however, it does work greatly :)
this is one of the best tutorial, i have wach it... for this because of such videos im subscribed to your channel... continue whit such videos for fl studio end orchestrating tings :)respect
I don’t seem to successfully connect brso plugin to the kontakt plugin. I’ve followed the instructions in this video with the port to 0 thing. Thanks in advance!:)
There is only one edition of Kontakt 6 - it has 64 outputs (same as "Kontakt 5"). The edition with 8 and 16 outs have been dropped. Now, while the plug-in has 64 outs (and they should all be seen in a DAW), you do not need to use them all. Just set up the Mixer channels and route to them as you wish. (As described in the User Manual / Outputs chapter.)
you can add different instruments to different mixers without the 16 out by pressing the output list and pressing create separate master output channel. :))
I don’t seem to find the «kontakt 6 16out» option in my drop down menu. Could you please explain to me in bit more detail what you commented above? Thanks in advance!
Briliant tutorial (as always). Quick question to you (or anyone) - I am routing all my instruments to BRSO articulate as instructed. But my mod wheel does not automatically set up for each instrument. I have to individual link to controller for every instant. And as soon as I do that, it cancels the link to all the other instruments. Trying everything to fix it (sure there is an easy fix) - anyone have any ideas so that the mod wheel will automatically be selected for all instruments ?
Is it possible to control the dynamics of different articulations played at the same time while using a multi articulation instrument? Suppose I'm playing Sustain and Temolo on high strings multi instrument, will I be able to control the dynamics of both these articulations separately? Can mod wheel be used distinctively for each articulation?
There was a horrible memory leak with windows 10 using 39% of my memory of 32GB of ram (which was shitty because none of background stuff that's on windows dosen't add to that much like wtf i found a way to fix) then compared loading kontakt in bitwig and fl studio 20 and theres a big difference (i find it weird) that fl studio it takes much less ram to have kontakt than bitwig so looks like i'll be scoring in Fl Studio :P so finding this video really useful! Thanks for all your videos i always had a interest in making fantasy music, i can have more freedom with melodies, using real instruments and not force to use synths etc making electronic music D:
Hello Alex! Thank you for all! I'm very happy that I do not have to pay some lessons and miracles to learn how to handle the program well because I have you! Thank you very much! Can you make a clip on how to use the keyboard keys to do something faster and easier because I noticed that you are doing a good job with it. Example: I want to insert another between some of the instruments, I'm not able to do it, because I do not know how to insert it between , and you put it in between, and you still have the ability to move it bare down and put it where you want it. I hope you understand :)
this is awesome thanks! I would like to use my M32 and Maschine Mikro with Maschine 2 and Kontakt, recording in FL studio. Should I launch an instance of Kontakt inside Maschine 2 inside FL studio, or should I record everything in Maschine standalone (with kontakt instance in for VSTs) and then send the whole thing to FL studio for proper editing? thx in advace.
Thank you for the video!!! Really EPIC tutorial! By the way BRSO Articulate can make you a lot of articulations, but FL Studio Piano Roll can handle only 16 colors. Is there a way to use more colors in Piano Roll?

Hi, I Drop my Instruments in the Playlist on a Track. It links the Mixer - Track - Channel Rack. One time Name - color change. Try it.

I know you gave up on this channel but this is the most important video on the internet for music composers. Even today... Thank you

Could never figure how to send individual midi out channels to their own mix channel.
Now I know

THE Saving Ram thing is dope bro!
Needing this for many genres, now I won't have to constantly refer to old FL Studio projects to ensure I'm using the correct settings!

lmao
Thank you.
Dear Alex Moukala,
I dont know how to create the kontakt 16out
Would appreciate if you could help me.

By the way BRSO Articulate can make you a lot of articulations, but FL Studio Piano Roll can handle only 16 colors. Is there a way to use more colors in Piano Roll?
