@@alaskancabin7506 So it is being fished,,??? this video is so upsetting but Please keep working for this,, i live in NH, and grew up in Mass,,,,,, we used to go and see the herring run as a child,,, it was Amazing, and there is a salmon run here in NH (im pretty sure it was salmon, it was a school trip). we're counting on you Mainer's, and all other New England states also,, to bring nature back as it was. Fish don't BELONG in FISHERIES!,,,,,, THEY BELONG IN THEIR NATIVE WATERS and to be fished responsibly. I suggest you find another career,,, Otherwise you are contributing to the destruction of natural environments,, helping to produce unnatural and filthy fish. this is terribleif they want to save these salmon then why on gods green earth would you allow a salmon farm at the bucksport area and belfast they are having huge problems with these salmon farms in bc and yet you allow a company to come on these waters which are just starting to see good effects of the dam removal .just curious if anyone else thinks this will kill the last of the salmon ?

Scott Dore -- wow! agree!!,, I had no idea they had those atrocities in Belfast and Bucksport, WoW,, Is ANY salmon fishing allowed in Maine?? Tourists expect too much,, if they want salmon let them pay the price for Alaskan wild salmon. (period, end of that problem). There was just an incident in BC today,, thousands of atlantic salmon in a fish farm broke loose. and Atlantic salmon don't belong in the Pacific for goodness sakes.
and: Will this kill the last of the salmon?? I will say 'It doesn't Have to, they can be saved'. All fish farms have to go, that's #1. People need to REALIZE how serious this is. The work has to continue,, people everywhere need to SAVE Maine's waters. Nature takes time,,,, If the state keeps doing what they are doing,, Monitoring,, opening dams.. releasing spawns (is that the word) into the river, That is a HUGE help. Im not a marine biologist,, but their food sourced has to be protected..,, the Native Americans would have never allowed this to happen.
