I've never liked plastic. It's cheap looking, it's cheap feeling and this is just one more reason on the pile of reasons I why I do my best to not buy single use plastics.
The specific seal in this video is called a Hawaiian monk seal and is endangered. With the population of only ~1300, they are only native to the Hawaiian islands. So unless you're from HI, then the little guys near you are probably fine.

So much of the plastic waste created by temporary plastic we use and throw away could be solved with either using paper or biodegradable plastic.

There's are hundreds of thousands of harbor seals and California sea lions, which are probably the creatures you've been around.
@@camulodunon No. Most all of my ocean fishing activities have been out of the mouth of the Columbia River and off the coast of Vancouver Island.
@@laughtoohard9655 both of the species I mentioned can be found in those places.
