I have had major success growing my monsteras in water (hydroponically). Initially I had thought to keep these to propagate, regrow roots, and put in soil but after 11 months, I love the look of them and don’t have plants to transition back now.
If you are wanting to grow plants in water, you do have to add a liquid fertilizer since your plant is not gaining any nutrients for your plant from the soil. I use dynagro foliage pro but any liquid fertilizer of your preference will do well.

Hey Krystal ❤ I just wanted to say that I follow you on Instagram and TH-cam absolutely love your content 🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾✨✨✨
Question I’ve had success with my plants without fertilizer. Which liquid fertilizer do you use? I used to use Neem oil diluted with water but I can’t bring myself to bare the smell again 😅

    • @mariedoll6081

@@ashlihart7828Is that fertilizer? I think that is to kill pest, an insecticide. I would like to clear that up.
Any experts out there to answer that?

I reuse glass jars and the looks is amazing! For the more interesting ones, I keep labels on for conversation pieces/art. Just an idea if you want to save money by using what you already have🌱Opaque plastic containers are also good if you want to control algae.

Honestly you dont need to rinse that much. Leave some beneficial microbes on the roots because it helps with transplant shock. Plants acquire a lot of their nutrients by bartering with microorganisms, so make sure there’s the correct bacteria to close the loop

    • @edenisok894

Nope she just does that probably because monstera roots won’t shrivel up and die very easily and she picked off dead roots so it may be good to let them dry a little bit to callous any open wounds. Just a guess though

Rather than replacing the water completely, its better to top additional water. The container can be cleaned and the same topped up water put back into the container. Over a period of time, the plant gives out enzymes and growth hormones back tnto the water, hence this water shouldn't be thrown, instead topped up!!!!!😊
