The white pot it was in suited your Burro's better than the shallow terracotta. The cut and t re-tuck in the white pot would have been fuller with less plant breakage from the slightest touch.
Hi from a Norwegian in Hungary! Love your content, definitely would enjoy more of these longer type of videos :) My cacti and succulents live outside during summer also, looking to build a cacti-bench like yours for next year! Have a fab rest of summer ☀️
someone gifted me a little succulent for my birthday a couple of years ago and it was like. guess i own plants now?? it has been a bumpy ride but your channel has helped me sooo much i even recently repotted my roommates pothos that came with this condo when she bought it and have been languishing rootbound in the low light conditions for years. they look amazing now and i could not be prouder, and its your videos that gave me the know-how to do it!
@@llllaarr2518 I inherited it from my grandma so it is very special to me. She taught me that dangly succulents flourish if their light source comes from above. I'm lucky to live in a warm climate (mild winters and very hot summers) so I don't ever need to move it.
@@FreeElf023 I have no idea. I couldn't imagine even attempting a re pot. I just throw worm castings on it a couple of times a year and water it through, not much else except a few good drenchings through summer as it gets bloody hot in Australia.
Lovely! I learned this year not to put my burros tail on my outside shelves with my other cactus & succulents - a chipmunk ate over half of it!!! I had to rescue it, repot go to hanging basket, and add some more new burros tail from the store (because I’m impatient).
I’ve been putting off my burro repot for a very long time too. Mine is still full and has tight beans…but is pale. The old beans are a pale green (not yellow) and the new growth is the darker blue/green color. I was about to ask if anyone knew why but as I was typing this comment you answered it. 😂 thanks Krystal!
This is perfect! I’ve recently properly got into plants and bought a beautiful Burrito last weekend that I’d been eyeing up at the local garden centre. And here you are, my favourite plant channel. ❤ Thank you. 🪴🌱
I chuckled right along w you. Just this morning I moved 1 of my burros this morning into a head planter to give her some hair &...I must be doing something right bc I only lost 6 beans!!!! However...Shall we talk about me relocating my 3 mature Rat Tails(out of plant hangers) & 1 Chunky Monkey (Monkey Tail) as well. I'm in Sandy Pond NY on Lake Ontario...snow belt...upstate NY...anyways...have a great labor day!
Giiiiiiiirl! I was holding my breath for the first half of the video and then laughing till my sides started cramping 🤣🤣🤣 love the disclaimer at the end the she AIN’T the one if u want an easy breezy beautiful cover girl 🥴
I have one that is 3 feet long and I repotted it this spring. I had to wrap the tails in a towel and my husband carried the pot. We lost a bunch of beans but it’s just part of the process. I just swept up what I could and threw them in the pot 😂
Omg i about died laughing after you were done at the end and lifted her up in the pot and a good sized little piece just fell out and plunked onto the table.....😂😂😂❤❤❤ My fiamce looked at me like i was nits as i just started laughing outloud bigtime.... I'm relieved to see my burro's tail isn't the only scraggly one around. It has not enjoyed this hot Texas summer life! And it was looking so excellent this spring! 😢
You're videos are so helpful Krystal! ❤ Do you have a video of the size of wood used for your cactus display? I can't find the one I thought I saw. Thank you!

One question 🙋🏻♀️ please, can you tell me why it’s important that you not water the cactus/succulent plants after planting and is it a good idea to water before the repotting? Thanks, Ginger in Indiana also
I have 2 baby seeds that are starting to produce a burro like growth. I have it in a window and they are growing slowly. Anything I can do to get them to grow faster. They are in a terracotta 1 inch pot.
Hi Krystal, thanks for the information, entertainment & some downright funny content. I have a question if you could help me. I live in the UK and sunny days don't come round that often so I'm after some grow lights. I'm in the middle of building some shelving for all my plants as I'm addited to growing and maintaining. Could you show me your set up and what grow lights you use as I'm struggling to choose. Thanks 😁 🪴🌱🌵
Hey! Long time follower here! Love it, as usual~ Can you give me some direction on an editing program to use? Preferably something I could use interchangeably on my phone and computer? Oh dear. This comes at the perfect time. I have been putting repotting my burros tail off for monthssss
Take a deep breath and go for it. It’ll get wild!
The white pot it was in suited your Burro's better than the shallow terracotta. The cut and t re-tuck in the white pot would have been fuller with less plant breakage from the slightest touch.
Add a hanger to it to make it a slight easier to move without dropping beans.
Hurts my heart when they drop toooooo! "Plant crime scene" 😂 My new favorite phrase
These suckers are the most stressful of the succulents! I swear they drop beans if I even look at them funny
I literally did this yesterday, so many beans dropped. I feel you

My donkey tail has been in the same pot for more than 30 years and hangs from my carport to the ground, so is over 2 metres long.

This is serious. The hairs going up lol I love your videos. I learn soo much. Do you have videos on birds of paradise?
Hey girl hey
I have the same pink garden puners. The spring pops off all the time 😅
I've come to terms with the fact that me and succulents arent compatible lol I've transitioned into orchids now 😂
Lolllll how to do this with my borrows tail earlier this summer. Lost a lot of leaves in the process but thankfully it still looks okay
I have a massive burrows tail, and I've split her 4x. Every time I do it, it is the most stressful thing ever!!

I hate how long the beans take to propagate 😭😭 I’m so impatient but I do have like 20 new tiny babies sprouting after waiting monthssss
They take quite some time but when that growth pops off, they go wild.
Me side eyeing my BT pots.. i have been putting it off for a while now. I know a snip and reset is needed but my heart dont wanna lol

@@PlantswithKrystal it's Saturday here!!🤭
That's why I avoid sedums. I'm too clumsy for that 😂

I just found you! Like I said in another comment .. you crack me up! I use your channel as a "grin break" thanks! 🤣🥰
Have you grown fushia's?
Is there a certain temperature you keep your home set at to help the plants grow?

I love donkeys and I just got my first burrows tail. Did you know the propagate in water? I know someone that grows hers in water!,,,
How do you keep the bugs out when you bring your plants indoors for the cooler months?
what usda zone are you in? you have a nice garden and maybe someday you can make a outdoor tropical junglr garden!
Hi! I would love to know what to do with the bare stem, how can they be propagated?
Shorter but fuller... sounds like something you'll find on a dating profile. xD

The anxiety I felt watching this is almost as bad when I repotted my Burros tail 😅
Stop it !! 🤣😂😅
I Heard that it needs a lot of light so I put it on my balcony, but it became red in the middle :( I think it got burned, what do I do now?
I can't believe the house is full of plants and the garden is empty. Can you explain why this is so?

They absolutely do 😂 and I feel like we always have the different kinds too. There’s at least 6 of them in this house now.
