can you even avail of the extra storage on an HD floppy on an amiga with a mod ? what would it require ? like a switch and treating it like a new storage/floppy space or drive ?
yeah it shipped with the A3000 and A4000 I think. but there's nothing that really takes advantage of it so it's just for extra storage really but since we now have extra large hard drive solutions for those machines there's not much advantage to having HD floppies really . But... It's a cool mod though if you figure out how to pull it off :) because why not, really :)
not entirely versed in drive differences and whatnot but if it works I don't question it :) re-aligning is sometimes required though but I won't claim I fully understand why
Tree is the magic number 🙂
tree's won more than too
Always had an idea of modding a PC drive to enable HD floppies on the Amiga. All that space on a floppy!

Seems that the "Chinon FZ357A" works as is

The drive heads track width is important i suppose
