He also experienced Marian miracles through Catholics so he prefers to go to the Catholic Church as an Assyrian until he has reason to leave. Meanwhile, he's still making his way through the East-West debates on the Papacy and the Filioque.

When our lady of Kibeho appeared to three visionaries, she asked all student to pray the 7 sorrows of Mary. She never said only Catholics. She told them they are all her flowers and some are dry, but we all her flowers. We love divisions for nothing. As for protestants who hate Catholics, it depends on the pastors who say things without knowing what they are talking about or lying. I used to follow Dr. Stanley and he never said negative things about the Catholic Church. We pray for the unity of the church while Protestants are calling us pagans. Read the early Christians aka church fathers and you will see that the Catholic Church does exactly what they were doing.

Sam Shamoun's Bible studies have been instrumental in my becoming Catholic. Have him back on. He's an excellent apologist and teacher. Best of all he gives all glory to God for what he does.

When you're in the States it's easy to hide in your echo chamber. On the mission field labels fall away as we share the Good news of Jesus with those who don't know him. @@ninjason57 no there isn't To pray literally means to make a request of someone. So to pray to a saint is simply just requesting prayers form them. Just like prayers to God are requesting his grace and favors. A simple understanding of what words mean helps.

You're confusing prayer and worship. You can legitimately pray to God and saints to same way, but you can't worship saints like God. That's the fundamental error prots make.
I wish I had known more about Catholicism when I was still Lutheran. I wouldn't have called veneration of Mary or intercessory prayers pagan or necromancy, but I think I might've found it weird and had issue with it. But then you realize "Hail Mary, full of grace" is how Angel Gabriel himself greeted Mary. And the Apostle's Creed says "we believe in the Communion of Saints," which is the supernatural connection between all believers past and present. I somehow never stopped to ask what these things meant, because I was simply never told about them. Funny that.

I would say there are plenty of republican's who think democrats are evil. But the reserve that talk for democrat politicians. Most democrats, especially younger ones, think the worst thing you could ever do is vote republican. Many will say voting for Trump is enough to cut the relationship with a loved one. The difference is most Republicans are Christian and we believe in grace and forgiveness, but non Christian democrats do not believe in such things. If you vote for Trump, you are worse than a murderer.

And then the cycle of vice goes on into the next generation. If this one doesn't count to you as an "excess" therefore categorized it as a sin already, then I don't know what is to satisfy your knowledge about this matter. She is special among the saints as the mother of our Lord. Christ is the Great Intercessor and the only connection between man and God on this side of eternity, but we have countless intercessors to Christ in our every day life and in Heaven. There is something so cringe about contemporary Catholic apologists and podcasters (especially the trads for some reason) who think it's so masculine to smoke cigars or drink whiskey while doing apologetics. "Look how manly we are because we wear tweed suits to the latin mass and grow gay looking 1800s style beards while smoking cigars and drinking whiskey. We're so trad." It's a weird form of prelest.

Strange how we ask others to pray for us, but wouldn't do it when the same people are in the presence of God.
There's a difference between asking for prayers from a person and praying to a person. Most Catholics won't make this distinction.

Yes, we can call Mary blessed but we only are supposed to pray to one person the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. They are one.
