I was looking to catch mosquitoes. I have an electric zapper that worked great with other insects, didn't catch my annoying mosquitoes. I found out that certain mosquitoes are repelled by UV. Guess they see UV think it is daytime and hide in a corner. So I am wondering if all these UV traps will work with the type that bites me at home?
They have some zappers that u can choose between uv and white light. Im looking at a cordless one that has that feature. I also plan to hang it directly under where my normal light is that already light up the patio cuz I know that sucker attracts em! I use citronella candles currently and they kinda work ok some nights but I think this is really what's needed for proper night out on the patio. I know also smoke helps, sometimes I use my fire pit near the patio and that always keeps em away. Good luck! Oh and you can even layer some bug spray on top of your attack plan. That should in theory keep you pretty well protected. Atleast that's the approach I'm taking and I hope it works! They're really bad this year!
For mosquitos you need the LED blue light not UV of any kind. Double purple light bar zapper LED strip LED lights, zappers are 10 inches tall and 16 inches wide. Leave it in your kitchen by your kitchen sink on counter.
I bought lamp N2. It does not attract mosquitoes. It is a pity there were so many of them... I got two tiny flies in 2 days. It was difficult to clean them out of the lamp...
