I would have liked this anime if it weren't for the unjustified complete change in character in Yuki after repairing her memories. She was FIVE. She'd have had maybe two years worth of memories to recover, which is not enough to completely change her demeanor, morality, and decision making.
Zero deserved better than for her to find out his feelings by doing the one thing that he specified would make him hunt her for eternity.
That made no sense to me either and tf she married her brother whyyyyy
so i see clearly that your anime only. to put into point i think it has a lot to do with her being a vampire that it doesn't matter about the memories that much. that she changed as a whole species so i think in turn would make sense for a drastic change. and she is not marrying her brother kaname is actually the ancestor of the kuran clan. and in the end kaname ends up becoming the second vampire to sacrifice themselves to make vampire weapons and yuuki ends up with zero and they have kids. and because she loved kaname so much she did what her mother did but in the future they learn the complete truth so kaname becomes human and yuuki is dead. don't know what happened to zero i don't think it ever says anything specific but he does die.

I agree, i miss her old bubbly, kind and happy personality. Now in the newer books i just don’t wanna read them for that reason. The ending (in m opinion) for the early versions sucked a lot. I didn’t like how she kinda chose the character i hated to spend the “rest of her life” with.
But, Yuki does seem to realize who Kaname is in the later books.

lol I like this in 5th grade it was one of my favorite animes (way back then) until I had a thing happen that made me hate it partly for plot reasons and partly for the memories that it dredged up. The 11th volume of vampire knight (where the anime ends) is still the only manga I own (I live right across the street from a library).
I think everybody had that phase 😹 I had it at the end of primary school (around age 11/12) along with Death Note 😸

it's sort of scary how well this suits both kaname and yuki's inner turmoil and thoughts about themselves and each other.
Kaname sees yuki as the brilliant sun in his world, but he hates himself and sees himself as a pitch black shadow dragging her into his hellish cursed existence for example, meanwhile yuki sees herself as weak and unable to change fate or help the people she cares about, giving her the feeling that she's trapped in an eternal nightmare -without any hope of escape, in her eyes she isn't deserving of either kaname or zero's affection and as a result she turns a blind eye to their flaws, instead feeling that she's being horribly spoiled by both.

@@Fallen_Angel_6 the anime left off in a weird place in the manga (maybe about volume 9 out of 19?) and there's a lot more to it than just that. Of course there's people who don't enjoy it, and that's okay... But unless you have read the manga completely, you shouldn't brush it off.
Plus the anime leaves out an important character that becomes a villain about right after the end of what happened in season 2, so maybe that's why it ended.
Yeah, I get that. A manga tends to have *Way* more then the anime. It's just Vampire Knight seems "meh".
I mean I never really liked the characters and the end of the anime was just "huh? What the f**k just happened?" here's hoping the original source material was much better than the anime.

I love how you doubled with the high and low octave notes in the choruses! That's definitely one thing that stood out to me when I listened to this. Overall a bangin' track - and Jordan slayed that instrumental too!

I actually hated the ending of the manga but now have mixed feelings since I started reading Vampire Knight Memories. That said I still kinda love the story since it was one of the first shoujos I watched and It's nostalgic to hear this cover of the intro after like 8 or 6 years. Awesome cover, I don't even have words to describe how beautiful it is!

pretty sure most people hated the ending. Memories to me is like a love letter to the fans and brings back a lot of the better parts of the first half. Pretty sure majority of people like it up until the end of Guilty.

I Disagree especially if you read the manga. Vampire Knight had a good plot the first few episodes then went completely down hill. SPOILER: They all die in the manga. At least Twilight had a good ending and if they died they had a solid reason for dying.

Sure the anime was pretty bad but I think the manga was pretty good.

I liked the beginning of the anime and manga, but slowly the writer started veering off with who Yuuki should end up with in the end, and I think it was a weak ending, I would rather Yuuki end up with one or the other, but I think both was kind of silly considering there was more interesting paths if the mains don't always get a happy ending.
While my feelings on Vampire Knight are not as positive as when I was younger, I absolutely love this cover. It's AMAZING. Thank you, Lollia. :)

Pregnant by Kaname, who was a jerk in manga, yet she confessed she still had Zero in part of her heart to Kaname...he goes in slumber, she married Zero and after he dies, she resurrects Kaname from slumber by sacraficing herself...tbh that sort of means she technically picked Zero, but felt she owed Kaname so once Zero died she trader places with Kaname hence she still never married Kaname, but she instead died a Widow...
This was my gateway anime, and despite the many plot holes I will always have a soft spot for it, an I still absolutely love it. This cover is so good, I never thought of singing it in English, I just learnt it in English. Good job 👍

I would like to tell everyone how the story ends by first i'd like to say that it actually made me really angry and I recommend not looking it up if you like Kaname. I don't but the ending was still brutal af and I hate it.
So to some it up, Kaname ends up ripping his heart out, putting it in a furnace and telling Zero to love Yuki as Kaname slowly turns into a giant icicle. Theres more to it that made me mad but if your interested look it up.
