To be fair Higurashi is the real Rezero because men... Rika is always repeating the same date over and over again unlike to Subaru's condition he can make a checkpoint to the surpass events he did.
What Rika has been through makes what happened to Subaru look like nothing. Initially the loops lasted a few years, but after a century it's narrowed to only June 1983.
Here's a weird idea; after finally Kicking in Vergi's head for the umpteenth time; Dante finally retires and turns his Devil May Cry business into a Bar in a pocket dimension for time loopers and lost souls. There can be found the likes of Rika, Subaru, Homura, Okabe Rintaro, many others and maybe the true Satoko that LambaDelta supposedly killed is there and is reduced to a Crying Drunk that is forever tormented by her actions. I can think of few bouncers that would be tougher than Dante and even Featherine might pause for a moment at the prospect of locking horns with the legendary son of Sparda (Though even Dante would be hard pressed to stop her).

Interesting that Lies and Deceit were Higurashi Gou's theme from the moment they market it as "remake", the use of the original Opening in Episode 1, whose POV is this Opening, the 3 first chapters deceiving us into believing were the first 3 chapters of Higurashi (with Tataridamashi further deceiving into believe it is actually is Minagoroshi), the very assumption the old rules and culprit still apply.

The quietness, profoundly consuming silence Even the air is trembling All logic fades leaving behind in its wake A broken light, a bird without wings I believe what you said Say you're longing to return To that once perfect scenery If you desire the world Then come and take it We are connected within my memory I feel all your tears Those sad or happy, no No one can ever say That they're as close to you As me, the way it should be A door will open upon the answer To all our questions that we have searched for, now I watch it open, to lead us at last Into the light it cast We will find truth beyond the lie Engulfed in light, bright as white The secrets to everything A little tear, makes everything unravel That one mistake, inviting the lies The madness grows, echoing into unknown Hidden away from all preying eyes I believe what you said As you slowly awaken You behold a false scenery The festival will ascend And begin before you I only wanted to know you better So I continued, to chase right after you But there's tension building up, between our words It's strange, you're acting this way The sky above you won't shake or ripple But even if it were artificial then All of the pain that, you feel would begin To melt away at last Just like a shot of anesthesia I slowly loose, consciousness The beginning of everything We are connected within my memory I feel all your tears, those sad or happy, no No one can ever say, that they're as close to you As me, the way it should be A door will open upon the answer To all our questions we have searched for, now I watch it open, to lead us at last Into the light it cast We will find truth beyond the lie Engulfed in light, bright as white The secrets to everything

Edit: Expanding upon my original post. This song makes me think of Puella Magi Madoka Magica and it's sequel Rebellion. It fits really well, and shows the journey through the show and sequel-movie. This will contain spoilers for both of them, but here's how I think it fits: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First verse and first chorus are about the main Madoka Magika: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > “The quietness, profoundly consuming silence, even the air is trembling…”= Right after Madoka died in the first timeline and Homura is shaken after having watched her friend die, and things are floating in the air from Walpurg. > “A broken light”= Madoka’s soul gem went dark. > “I believe what you said” = Homura believes Kyubei when he says: “say you’re longing to return, … if you desire the world, then come and take it” > “We are connected within my memory” - she remembers Madoka and the time-loops every time she goes back, even if no one else does. No matter how alone she is, those memories will give her the strength to keep pushing forward. > “A door will open upon the answer” - eventually there will be a way to end the time loops with Walpas defeated and Madoka alive. > “ I watch it open to lead us at last into the light it casts” = she sees Madoka make her final wish and become divine (with unbroken wings and shining light). > “engulfed in light, … the secrets to everything” = Madoka found the secret to answer her desire to save the magical girls, and it was to make herself a god, who would be able to see across everything and kill all the witches before they were born. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Then it switches to Rebellion: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > “We will find truth behind the lie,… the secrets to everything” -Alternate interpretations for Rebellion: either Kyubey finding out about the law of cycles, or Homura finding out what is going on with the new world. > “ A little tear makes everything unravel, the one mistake, inviting the lies” - 3 possibilities: A) Homura telling Kyubei that witches existed, causing him to try and ger Madoka under his control or bring witches back. B) Homura is the one remaining potential witch who know about Madoka, and thus could “invite” her into the labyrinth even through Kyubei’s isolation field. C) Somehow bebe is around even though Homura shoube be the only one who knows about witches, and they should all be gone, which implies something is not right about her current world. > ”The madness grows, echoing into unknown” - Homura is slowly going insane and transforming into her current witch form, though she doesn’t fully know that yet. > “Hidden away from all prying eyes” - 2 possible interpretations: A) the isolation field prevents Madoka from knowing about everything going on inside, despite her divinity, and B) Homura is trying to hide the truth from even herself (and especially from Madoka) > “I believe what you said, as you slowly awaken” = dark rerpise. In contrast to the earlier time, THIS is in reference to Madoka saying that going away and leaving Homura alone would be “heartbreaking”. > “You behold a false scenery, the festival will ascend” = the fake world will go on, and Homura will not let it be broken, or let Madoka fully realize what’s happening (not for long anyway). > “I continued to chase right after you” = Dark reprise. Even after Walpurg was defeated and Madoka was saved, Homura couldn’t get Madoka out of her mind and move on. This led to her telling Kyubei about the witches (letting him bait Madoka in an isolation field) and also led to Homura starting to become a witch. It also could refer to her needing to chase mysteries (ie: who is the witch?) causing her to find out… it was herself. She couldn’t stop chasing her goals no matter what. > “but there’s tension building up between our words, it’s strange your acting this way”= 3 interpretations: A) Kyubei thinks it’s strange for Homura to fight so hard to stop him from getting Madoka, even if it would hurt Homura to do so. B) Homura thinking: Why does Madoka try so hard to go back to being a god even though it pains her to do so? Why can’t Madoka be selfish for once? Homura will stop Madoka, even if it will make her Madoka’s enemy when she finds out. C) Madoka doesn’t know why Homura is asking Madoka to kill her. She did so much to help Madoka, and can finally be with her after this. Why is she so upset and fighting against being redeemed? > “The sky above you won’t shake or ripple” = a lie, though it may be that when Homura gets enough power she can make everyone ignore the things that are ‘off’ in the new world. If they don’t notice, then it isn’t happening right?
> “But even if it were artificial, then all of the pain that you feel would begin to melt away at last” = A basic summary of Homura’s goals and why she created the fake city/world to begin with. She wants to take away Madoka’s pain. > “Just like a shot of anesthesia” = Even Homura realizes she is forcing her methods on Madoka, who isn’t a willing participant. > “I slowly lose consciousness, the beginning of everything” = May refer to Madoka, who has her memories erased and is placed back at the start of the simulation at the end of the movie. Alternatively, may refer to Homura restarting the simulation again, but this time has no future goal where things can succesfully 'end'. She is only delaying a bad ending, and has no hope for a good one anymore, which can make her want to lose her knowledge of that fact, so she starts trying to delude herself some more = losing consciousness/awareness. > "We are connected within my memory” = dark reprise. They are now literally living in a world recreated from Homura’s memories. > “No one can say they are as close to you as me, the way it should be” = No one can get close enough to Madoka anymore to harm her because Homura will protect her forever, as she thinks should be the case. >“A door will open with all the answers to all our questions” = dark reprise. Now it’s about Homura’s questions (how do I stop Madoka’s pain, and keep her safe). not Madoka’s questions about finding a way to stop walpurg or save the magical girls. The answer to Homura’s question seems to be to steal Madoka’s powers, force her into a false world and take away her memories so she doesn’t try to escape. >“Engulfed in light, … the secrets to everything” = dark reprise. Homura now knows who the witch is, and that Madoka is not willing to be trapped there, which tears at her and causes Homura deep and constant distress and sadness, even as she stiops Madoka from leaving. Knowing the answers (or at least what she thinks are the truths) hurts her, in contrast to the initial verse where knowing the answers helped Madoka accomplish her desires.
It’s also similar to PMMM in that both openings are about different characters than one would initially assume. Connect of PMMM is actually from the POV of Homura instead of Madoka and this op is from the perspective of Satoko instead of Rika.

Wow. I am speechless. I thought there is no way I would enjoy an English version of this song but this is awesome. The voice, the composition of the English lyrics, the animation, everything!
Me and my brother in the car annoying our parents:
“Iiiiiii beLiEvE wHAt yOu sAiD!”
This is the best English version I have ever heard!
I usually don't agree with en covers, but this is GODLIKE
I hope this gets some form of ufficial recognition, it's so professional
To be fair Higurashi is the real Rezero because men... Rika is always repeating the same date over and over again unlike to Subaru's condition he can make a checkpoint to the surpass events he did.
What Rika has been through makes what happened to Subaru look like nothing. Initially the loops lasted a few years, but after a century it's narrowed to only June 1983.
I wonder what would happen if Subaru and Rika switched places lol
@@Hex_sixsixsix I feel like Subaru and Keiichi would be great friends for some reason
@@serenajackson86 can easily imagine them sitting together at Angel Mort for sure
The only one english cover of anime song that is actually good and i like
Yikes this hits different after episode 21
Definitely hyped to see what happens between Satoko and Rika
Not a bad cover at all. I appreciate how the english translation doesnt mess with the flow of the melody
I really love the voice, it combines a lot
One of the best anime of the season and one of my favorite artists? I've never gotten excited so quickly! [except for when the this opening first came out ofc, freaking out on Hulu because it wasn't a remake was a mood]
2:41 Ouch; episode 16 reference, when you thought the fingernails and basement torture scene were bad from previous seasons...
After the latest episode this song makes a little more sense now...
I thought the song was about hanyuu and rika until that reveal
@@teapartypenguin1353 I honestly always thought that myself. But if it were this wouldn't be a sequel I thought. But rather a remake so I knew there had to be a twist somewhere.
oh boy yes it does
how do you feel after episode 19?
@@dgray9655 the same. Especially since things are looking to take the turn I'm expecting
this is amazing! i'm so happy that this song was covered! your cover of the original Higurashi OP is one of my favorites you've done, thank you (+ the others credited) !
Early squad!! Holy crap I am so excited for this!
Not really, this got uploaded earlier
Okayy okay...
This is as adrenaline-inducing as most your covers are! Prettyy niceee!!
I rewatched all 3 seasons to prepare for this once I found out 2nd ep was turning it to a sequel because I never finished season 1 years ago and it is in fact worth it to anyone wondering.
Omg a full version? Bless 🥺😭💕
I can’t stop watching your videos over and over again 💗💗💗
Last episode was amazing I can’t wait for the new season!!
I’m shocked about how good it is, the translation (adaptation) and the cover itself
The fact they revived this anime makes me so happy, it's my favorite series of all time.
2:13-2:41 *Cries in Onikakushi-hen Rena*
Ooooh nice catch
*cries in Satokowashi-hen Satoko*
LambdaDelta *INTENSIFIES* *!*
The beat of this song is haunting yet beautiful and emotionally epic. I love what you’ve done. Good work! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕💗💗💗
This is great it gives me that hype when a new episode comes out.
0:30 Now that looks even more sinister than before.
Best mystery/disturbing anime also visual novel ever. Pacing was unheard of especially in the visual novel
I really love this song and how it parallels the story of the season and how you can view it from both standpoints(won’t go into specifics due to spoilers for those who have yet to see it)
It haunts you no matter who’s view it is
Who's here for the second upload?
me, i was like why was that one made private?
@@netryusai6828 ya me too

here bro xd
this anime was such my favorite a while back, thanks for doing the tunes some justice
Before I watched all the episode:
Wha? What lies? What? Betrayal?
After:
Ah... It makes senses now.
Dude, with LeeandLie’s small yet cute laugh in the beginning, and then transitioning to this song is eerie but oddly enchanting.
AmaLee never ceases to amaze me with her voice, the haunting beauty of this song is just perfect
Omg you made this right after i am done with season 2 of higurashi and this makes me so happy 😍
It's about to go down.
Satoko vs Rika exactly.
Unless Sion is enraged by what Satoko has become and decides remind her what it feels like to be under the knife, AGAIN!
@@cnlbenmc Satoko is not afraid of Sion's knife. She is able to tolerate it.
My favourite anime, and I've absolutely loved this new season. Thank you for covering this, I really love it SOOO much. If you're considering covering the ending as well, I think you'd do an amazing job.
This show is so underrated
Idk about that it's pretty popular
How so? It was a huge hit with three seasons, a sequel and the game it is based on got a remake and a localization only recently XD
Well its mostly underrated in the west, in Japan the When they Cry series is pretty popular and has a pretty big fandom.
I really wouldn't say it's underrated in the West though? I know tons of people that love Higurashi irl and online? The fandom is still alive and kicking too? Maybe I am just following the rught people though lol
@@janchei9745 I mean like in the west no one really talks about it
great cover as always! Love your voice.
And here is another opening from one of my favorite anime sung by Her Grace. Seriously, though, you have been killing it as of late!
I've been waiting for this!
The quietness, profoundly consuming silence
Even the air is trembling
All logic fades leaving behind in its wake
A broken light, a bird without wings
I believe what you said
Say you're longing to return
To that once perfect scenery
If you desire the world
Then come and take it
We are connected within my memory
I feel all your tears
Those sad or happy, no
No one can ever say
That they're as close to you
As me, the way it should be
A door will open upon the answer
To all our questions that we have searched for, now
I watch it open, to lead us at last
Into the light it cast
We will find truth beyond the lie
Engulfed in light, bright as white
The secrets to everything
A little tear, makes everything unravel
That one mistake, inviting the lies
The madness grows, echoing into unknown
Hidden away from all preying eyes
I believe what you said
As you slowly awaken
You behold a false scenery
The festival will ascend
And begin before you
I only wanted to know you better
So I continued, to chase right after you
But there's tension building up, between our words
It's strange, you're acting this way
The sky above you won't shake or ripple
But even if it were artificial then
All of the pain that, you feel would begin
To melt away at last
Just like a shot of anesthesia
I slowly loose, consciousness
The beginning of everything
We are connected within my memory
I feel all your tears, those sad or happy, no
No one can ever say, that they're as close to you
As me, the way it should be
A door will open upon the answer
To all our questions we have searched for, now
I watch it open, to lead us at last
Into the light it cast
We will find truth beyond the lie
Engulfed in light, bright as white
The secrets to everything
OMG I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS IM OFFICIALLY OBSESSED
Me reading the thumbnail:
*I BELIEVE IN WHAT HIGURASHI GOU YOU SAID*
Me after a double take:
Oh
I BELIEVE IN WHAT YOU SAID
HIGURASHI GOU
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
"I believe what you said" hits differently when Satoko is appearing behind it
The animation pairs so perfectly with the beautiful music. Great work everyone!!!!
This is such a good song, in English and Japanese both languages, I love it.
This op is like a punch to the gut especially after finishing gou i cant wait to see what happens in sotsu this is hopefully gonna be as great as everything before so far higurashi hasnt missed at all
I was obsessed with the original
*Now I'm obsessed with this*

I wasn't expecting this. I'm so grateful 🥰
"Lolis can't be scary."
When They Cry: *lmao endless death loop go brrr haha*
this is requiem
Oh you reuploaded! They're both good tho🔥
I hope they do the sotsu op because this one and the original were so well done.
Im here early and the song is absolutely fire! Loving it keep it up queen!
2:13 Might as well be screaming;
"I am *LAMBDADELTA* *!*
Here we go!!
I wish I could sound as good singing as she does! I would love to just randomly surprise my friends with a hidden talent like that.
I love all the spoopy graphics! 👌🏻
Edit: Expanding upon my original post. This song makes me think of Puella Magi Madoka Magica and it's sequel Rebellion. It fits really well, and shows the journey through the show and sequel-movie. This will contain spoilers for both of them, but here's how I think it fits:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First verse and first chorus are about the main Madoka Magika:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
> “The quietness, profoundly consuming silence, even the air is trembling…”= Right after Madoka died in the first timeline and Homura is shaken after having watched her friend die, and things are floating in the air from Walpurg.
> “A broken light”= Madoka’s soul gem went dark.
> “I believe what you said” = Homura believes Kyubei when he says: “say you’re longing to return, … if you desire the world, then come and take it”
> “We are connected within my memory” - she remembers Madoka and the time-loops every time she goes back, even if no one else does.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then it switches to Rebellion:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
> “We will find truth behind the lie,… the secrets to everything” -Alternate interpretations for Rebellion: either Kyubey finding out about the law of cycles, or Homura finding out what is going on with the new world.
> “ A little tear makes everything unravel, the one mistake, inviting the lies” - 3 possibilities:
A) Homura telling Kyubei that witches existed, causing him to try and ger Madoka under his control or bring witches back.
> “Hidden away from all prying eyes” - 2 possible interpretations:
A) the isolation field prevents Madoka from knowing about everything going on inside, despite her divinity, and
B) Homura is trying to hide the truth from even herself (and especially from Madoka)
> “I believe what you said, as you slowly awaken” = dark rerpise.
> “but there’s tension building up between our words, it’s strange your acting this way”= 3 interpretations:
A) Kyubei thinks it’s strange for Homura to fight so hard to stop him from getting Madoka, even if it would hurt Homura to do so.
Knowing the answers (or at least what she thinks are the truths) hurts her, in contrast to the initial verse where knowing the answers helped Madoka accomplish her desires.
yes!!
oh wow
How in the world did u just connect 2 of my favorite anime’s of all time!?!?!?!? 😧
It’s also similar to PMMM in that both openings are about different characters than one would initially assume. Connect of PMMM is actually from the POV of Homura instead of Madoka and this op is from the perspective of Satoko instead of Rika.
Still among the best horror series out there. Great job with the cover!
This song hits harder after episode 21😔
I can't wait for your version of analogy from higurashi
1:57 So good timing
I listen to music while working/gaming, and when this song plays it stays in loop until I leave the computer, and when I come back I need to force myself into having another song in my head or I would just loop this forever. I am unsure with how I am yet to go insane.
I remember watching the original and I got so confused when they kept going back to previous events after someone was killed.
Years later I realize they were in a time loop. I need to rewatch it
OMG this is amazing!! Nice work
i saw this uploaded 34 seconds ago and i clicked so fast
I've been waiting for this. Amazing work as always!
This is perfect.
This made my day 💖
Now we just need "taishou a" and i can die happily its my favorite ed from the original series and its so incredibly underated its so amazing and seing it get more attention would make me so incredibly happy
This song is one of those absolute bangers that after one listen, I can't wait for the AmaLee cover.
Really love it, definitely did a great job
Is it just me or is the tone a bit different from the original lyrics? Obviously, I'm mostly extrapolating from the translation but I definitely picked up an element of malice/contempt the singer had towards the subject (which is probably Hanyuu's feelings towards Rika), while here it seems more supportive. Or is this just my interpretation?
Ho I got the same feeling ! I was wondering if I was alone on this xD
It's still amazing overall but yeah it gives off a different feeling
Amazing as always!
