There is something basically wrong with the youth. Especially those supporting politicians blindly. We follow political parties and not policies
In Ghana, the Akans call God Nyankopon. In Jamaica,the Maroons, call God Yenkipon .Jamaica's National Heroine on the Jamaican currency($500 ) is called Nanny, which was the modification of the Akan word 'Nana'. She was just like their Yaa Asantewaa, who fought and fred most slaves in Jamaica at that time and signed treaties with the Europeans, together with his brothers Kojo(Cudjoe) and Accompong. Jamaica is believed to have been coined from the Akan/Ashanti/Twi word 'Gyama yaka' which means 'Perhaps we are stuck',that is, when the slaves from Ghana/Akan majority realized they will never be able to return back to Ghana. The similarities between the Ashantis of ghana flag and that of Jamaica's will blow your mind!. There are many more, you can find if you love history! Check them out!
Thanks for the Education. Most African americans call their Grand Mother, Nana or Nanny. Now I know where that name is derived.

also if you research further you will find that Nana is also called Mother Ninti in the Sumerian culture.
