I can´t understand how these very young men (Jay Kay 26 and Stuart Zender 21)could create and perform these masterpieces at his age...they are really virtuous musicians.
Jay Kay writen; composed; arranged and produced this track on studio; hes got some natural talent to music who is very above the general musicians; because this whole album his a milestone on Jazz-Funk history; a very tecnical and hard to reproduce genre
I will listen to this live until the day I die. It's been ten years now rewatching this live, it will never cease to make me feel like I am 15 or 16 again, in my room all alone, jamming to their music, imagining my future as a young adult. Today, I have everything I've ever imagined and I always end up tearing up or smiling like crazy when I listen to it now that I am 28. My heart is full every damn time. Favorite song ever, forever. Everything is good, thank god. 🥰
I was in university when this came out. I was starting to learn bass then, and thought it would take me a life time to master Zender’s lines. 30 years later, I am still learning new stuff from listening to Zender’s work.
That "legalize it" moment was epic. What always amazed me about Jamiroquai is their extremely high level of playing musical instruments, especially bass playing.
These guys explored and mixed a lot of genres, really captured this vibe and took all the coolneSs from the jazz bass, disco, dance, pop and even hip hop, that with a melodic singing and very clever lyrics..now that is Jamiroquai a one in a lifetime band, this is the kind of artist that younger people should look up too, this is the real inspiration but music industry is really going so low..it s a shame .
This performance is really keeping me from killing myself I love music and I don't see how I could live without this whoever posted it thank you so much music is amazing thank you Jamiroquai..
Hope you're still around Isaiah and listening into the magic of Jamiroquai? I get the same reaction listening and watching Jay Kay and Stu doing their thing ALWAYS lifts me up. I can be in full panic attack mode but hearing Jkays smooth voice and Zenders bass guitar slapping rifts has me on cloud 9 again. Wish the band would reform and get back to this. As others have said this is a masterpiece. The weed political statement too, just right to plea for the legalisation of cannabis. 25 years on and we are still waiting......I dont even smoke it but I see others who rely on it to keep them calm. My addiction is just Jamiroquai!!
When you're feeling down, just put some reggae music, always put me up again. Life is a proof of resilience, for everybody. One day you're down, but tomorrow everything can change for the better. Trust me i know. But the change starts from inside to outside, and it takes effort and will power.
Probably my favourite group of all time! Start listening to them when I first moved from the North of Ireland to Manchester, the heartbeat of music and club culture in the early 90’s! When I first heard Emergency On Planet Earth on the radio, I thought it was a black woman singing... Wow, how wrong could I have been but loved the to this day no less! Master artist and group! Thanks for the great memories you helped make for me in a great time living in a wonderful city!
It’s so crazy because their big break in the U.S. was Virtual Insanity because of the video with the moving room, won them an award for best music video that year ( which was the first time most people in the U.S. heard of them). By the time that album (Traveling Without Moving) came out that year, ~’96 ‘97, they had already gained a crazy fan base. It just took that video being played on repeat to give them major access to the U.S. Also there’s Seven Days in Sunny June for the movie Devil in a Blue Dress, Deeper Underground for Godzilla, and of course Canned Heat for Napoleon Dynamite.
My favorite video for Space Cowboy. Love this version! The band is spot on!

P Webber I agree with you on that; real musicianship has been replaced 120 bpm and kanye west, with some of the 3rd Generation T.I. "Trap Muzik" bullshit... This period is gone forever... Praise be to youtube for preservation of the funk known as "Acid Jazz!"
Wow that was a brilliant performance of space cowboy man I miss the original lads that were in this band when they first started I saw the band twice during the early 1990’s before they became big when they weren’t really known
I can´t understand how these very young men (Jay Kay 26 and Stuart Zender 21)could create and perform these masterpieces at his age...they are really virtuous musicians.
Yeah Stuart was amazing at putting catchy basslines together, reminded me of Bernard Edwards, John Taylor and Mick Karn. Underrated bassist.
The vid is classic. I have about 20 times. I want a bonk again. X

I can explain it... They have THC in their brains.
@@Danthehorse on of the top 5 most influencial bass players of the 90s/2000s

These guys were gods in 90s... Everybody jazzin' so hard with so much happiness!
Zender is one of the best bassists ever!
Best space cowboy ever performed! Thank you so much Jay Kay for all the music. You are a legend! ♥️♥️♥️
Search for the brazilian jazz festival. Maybe is better than this.
Yes..they went into outer space for this arrangement and brought back 🔥🔥
its bad mixed, we cant heard the " chimes " and bass

Timeless ,as if it was just a few days ago!❤️🔥😘
it makes me so fucking sad to know that i am never gonna live something like this from this young jamiroquai. ever. fuck
Search FKJ "Casoy" or FKJ "Red Bull Studios Tokyo"... we may not get Jay Kay, but other talents arise. Let me know what you thought.
Rumors of a new album dropping this year, praying it comes with a tour too
RUMORS CONFIRMED.
YEEEEESSSSSSS
RiotxGiirl hey hooo
That "legalize it" moment was epic. What always amazed me about Jamiroquai is their extremely high level of playing musical instruments, especially bass playing.
Without that bass it will be nothing, it's the heart af the band. Like Jaco by weather report.
Well said!
BUT TOBY IS A NICE KEYBOARDER
sevchyk niceness!
you have reason, jk is the spine of the band but the anothers musicians give it to the band this nice flavor

In the U.K. it was under the banner of Acid Jazz
Jay Kay had such a great voice. He really created his own genre/sound , which is what makes Jamiroquai so great.
Never heard someone breathe that funky
It's the GANGA
Yea Mann he is a
True musician And
Performer
Best performance EVER!!!! Stuart Zender KILLED it in the bass!!! OMG!!!! AWSOME!!!!!!!!!

The joint never goes out 👽🔥
Everything was so calm and quiet but something was missing. It was Mister Zender's bass. Listen at 8:18 how he joined. Beautiful.
Yep , this make me goosebumps.
The whole down beat was incredible but when the bass came in 🔥🔥🔥👌🏾

So fucking glad I got to see them live only a year later. They did not disappoint.
Пересматриваю в 2024 вновь и вновь. Из-за Цандера, как же божественно красив и вводит в транс своим инструментом 😅
Lucky people, who have been in this concert! I'm so jealous!
RIP to the OG Toby Smith. Keep Flying 🙏🏾🙏🏾
This is my favourite live song he’s done.. ever! Can’t beat it, I put it on at least once a day, which I was born during that time 😢😆

I would like without marihuana.
