Yea yesterday i got in my car and that black rubber thing was broken in peaces on the floor, wasn’t too sure what it was but shortly after I was on the road and cruise control didn’t work!
So my cruise control went out and I found this part on the floor! However, I cannot figure out where you are talking about to fix it. Can anyone be more specific?
Look on your clutch pedal follow under the dash and you will find a tab sticking off that engages the sensors, you will see that one is missing the grommet
Recently bought an 01 Pathfinder and the cruise wouldn't engage. This was the fix. Thanks!

Great Idea, I replaced my little plastic piece and in a few months it broke again. I will look for a good size bolt and replace it. Thanks!
Thanks, works on the 2006 Pathfinder stick shift too. Except the decayed grommet is on the clutch pedal.

There is a fuse for cruise control in fuse box under the hood or in kick panel inside
I don't remember what size off hand, I think a 1/8 or 1/4. You can get away with super gluing a penny over the hole. too
What size bolt did you use? I tried the Dorman part number and the grommet is too small

Also, just curious.. do you get any IACV problems or strange idle surges with your pathy?
No but I have had to replace a couple coils do to running ruff
