The two far left and far right are to release the cover. The second from left larger one is for shifting. The smaller left knob is for the light, and the second from right small knob is the choke.
Can i shave with it or mix drinks ? Cool motor. Salt water marine mechanic since 1976 here... These and so many other cool old motors dissolved like Alka seltzer tablets in salt water here. Sad
I can relate to that comment. We NEVER, saw engines like this in our area. It was OMC land. I now enjoy fixing and running all of these engines that I missed out on back in the day and using them in fresh water.
@@GearHeadJP yeah OMC held up well in salt water. Mercury was horrible until 1980s . Today it's Yamaha Suzuki etc . Nice you saved this motor. Small Chrysler were ok . The big ones were junk we would not work on them in marina on long island new York in 80s Force motors a disaster.
as I heard it... Lee Iacocca and the Government bailout in the early 80's. One of the stipulations of the fed money was Chrysler had to sell off non-Automotive divisions. Outboard stuff sold to Bayliner / US Marine and eventually to Mercury.

Silky smooth at speed. This engine was an eye opener for me to investigate the West Bend line of engines. Now I’m hooked.
