Graham was literally part of the same mob that eventually targeted him, he gleefully went after people! He got into an argument with a random Twitter user ( a member of the general public with like 12 followers) and the guy just told Graham to stop calling everyone a "Nahtzee" and Graham then found the guys Facebook account, through that he found the guys mother and found her job and phone number, and then proceed to film himself calling this guy's mother to inform her that "Her son was a Nahtzee Fascist Misogynist who is dangerous!" and he then uploaded that video with their full Dox to his Twitter feed for his mob to further harass that family! If you read this Graham I want you to know that I am so grateful to you for standing up for women's rights, and the safety of our children and young adults. Thank you for having a backbone and speaking truth about the insanity of what is clearly being forced onto society by the morally corrupt. Yet another win for the pharmaceutical companies. Sickness and surgical procedures keep the profit machine rolling... and people don't see the madness and damage. What really struck me in this interview is your love and concern not only for women, but for those who are transitioning. The irony of you being attacked and cancelled for your opinions on this subject, down to earth concern for those who ARE actually Trans...I had no idea these poor souls are being subjected to physical butchery, osteoporosis etc, and God only knows what levels of pain and distress from possible lifetime of ongoing procedures. It disgusts me. Oh my God, it is sickening. My heart breaks for the kinds of physical and of course mental-emotional damage these medical procedures will cause ongoing throughout the person's life...Thank you for not compromising your integrity and morality as a good decent human being. You are so strong. I always loved your comedy (done stand up and comedy acting myself and a huge believer in the necessity of the jester archetype, my passion for comedy and it's power..). As my comedy mentor once said to me when I was performing in London years ago "Don't let the b******s win!" I offer these words to you. I think of comedy often and miss writing and performing so much... I am considering making a return and picking up my pen again.... I never understood what my mentor meant, but I always remembered it, and now it feels more important than ever. Comedy is powerful, much more so than people realise. . We must not allow our art to be cancelled, censored or silenced. Nor our artists. You are such an inspiration, and I thank God for people like you in the world that don't bow to the bullies. You have my utmost respect, and please know the spineless worms that never stood by you, and abandoned you to save their own skins, are not worthy of your time, attention or focus. Yeah....was a very clever comedy writer, until he lost his mind over an issue that doesn't have anything to do with him and consequently became obsessed with his odious ant trans rights platform. He's the very definition of someone who is his own worst enemy. He has campaigned to have people he doesn't agree with cancelled from nearly every media platform, he accused David Tenant of being a child sexual groomer...the guy is a class A clown who now makes a living by crying about how other people hijacked and derailed his life, when in fact it was himself.
Great interviewee meets great interviewer. I heard a podcast with Graham Linehan being interviewed by Canadian journalist Trish Wood on "Trish Wood Is Critical". I was surprised how different the podcast was from this video. It is worth listening to, for anyone who liked watching this, which would be just anyone who watched it, I would think.
One point where I do disagree with Graham is that this is a grass roots mass delusion; I think that corporate money has been behind it from the start in that the media, including the big social media brands have been essential and integral to the promotion of this weird secular religion, which the weak minded then follow like sheep...

While I continue to struggle with his part in actively destroying Mark Meechan’s life, it’s impossible not to be deeply touched by Mr Linehan’s own appalling treatment, and the catastrophic effect it’s had on every part of his life. Mr Linehan is a cultural genius of the highest order, but instead of being valued as a true national treasure, he’s disowned by both the UK and Irish cultural elite as a despised criminal. His sacrifice in defence of his extremely important cause is utterly profound, but the courage Mr Linehan has shown, by steadfastly and unflinchingly continuing to fight in its name, is truly inspirational. Please don’t give up, Graham.

I'm a big fan of Graham's work and consider myself lucky to have grown up with it. I have no doubt we might disagree on subjects and I might even get offended by some of his thoughts and vice versa but one thing I cannot stand is people who actively try and stop that person from earning a living. It's bullying. Roy Chubby Brown a comedian I personally detest as he's a hack who just tells stock working class jokes that are eerily similar to Jim Davidsons and Jethro (almost as if they have the same writer) but when some of his bookings started to get rejected by the theatre owners due to pressure from groups who found him offensive I found myself leaping to his defence. He has the right to earn a living. When it comes to free speech you are either with or against it. There are no exceptions and I will never side with a group of people who think forcing someone to become destitute because they said something they don't agree with is a recipe for a toxic society with essentially a mob rule and anyone going against the grain will get ostracised and for comedy that's a probable death sentence in the next few decades
Graham Linehan lost his comedy career because he couldn't stop arguing with people on Twitter over one of the most in-vogue culture war topics. He completely lost his mind as well for a time, tweeting every few minutes or so, as well as doing stuff like making a profile on a lesbian dating site as some kind of a trump point about gender identity. This was a man in his fifties with a wife and kids (at the time), btw. It's not that I don't agree with some of the criticisms that Linehan has, but did anyone ever hear about that joke of arguing on the Internet? It's like the Special Olympics - no matter who wins, they're still retarded. It's just not a good forum for that kind of debate. Twitter mud slinging is really only a game more than a way to have a proper conversation, and by the time it sends you into the streets with a placard, you're already too radicalised. Ultimately, this issue will get sorted in one way or another due to certain practical concerns it raises that mess with cash flows (i.e. professional sports), not because Linehan 'destroyed' some 20 year old on Twitter one time. Sadly, Linehan just couldn't let it go, and it's now all he has. Stay outta the rabbit holes.
You're wrong about everything, including that Graham destroys anybody on Twitter. He doesn't. And there are spaces on Twitter/X that have very smart discussions worthy of taking the time to follow. It isn't only a rabbit hole.

love graham so much. what an intelligent, lucid, hilarious, loveable, noble person he is. thanks for this, unherd!
Graham can Rot!
I hope he loses everything, as he is only "Sorry" because he got thrown out of his own club and has no other option but to talk to the people who he was previously attacking!
Graham has discussed his pitch-fork wields days at length over the last five years and has (repeatedly) publicly apologized to those he targeted (including Count Dukula who accepted his apology).

I like Graham and as an Irish Catholic I hope his wisdom helps him see the woke ideology that has attacked his career is exactly what has taken the place of the Catholic Church in Ireland which he himself scoffed and was happy to see the back of. I hope one day he reconsiders his religious beliefs, God bless him.
totally agree, God bless.
Highly unlikely. Once we break the shackles of religion, there can be no going back. Religion is ultimately recidivistic.

@@pseudonayme7717 I'm afraid you're wrong about about that, we most certainly go back whether we call what we have a religion or not. You see it all the time in the cult behaviour of atheists.
I don't understand this comment. The woke cult is like the Catholic Church, therefore be Catholic? Cancel Culture has a lot in common with the Inquisition, but at least - for now - they aren't literally burning people at the stake. It makes no sense to replace one weird, irrational, and often violent cult with another.
You were too good for them, too honest, too moral. Their shame. Their loss. Oh how shallow their existence must be!! You the other hand are connected with your soul, and are fulfilling your purpose. Love you! Don't let the b******s win!! A true artist and a great man. Remember, the darker the tunnel, the brighter the light on the other side. Can't wait to read your book. Just the inspiration I needed. I have a deep deep reverence and passion for comedy. I know it's transformative power. I pray I pick up the pen again myself, and get myself back to work.......... Thank you xx

Father Ted, Black Books, IT Crowd. This guy is a genius
Thanks I'll listen next
