      @@FabioLovaglio Strange. I've nothing against Page. On the contrary, love the guy. From 14 years of age on I'd spend hours trying to copy everything he played (along with EC, Jimi, Pete Green), but Page could be really sloppy live.
      He'd sometimes start to meander and resort to some repetitious phrase as a fill-in just to get back on track.
      Still, the best 1 pound sterling I ever spent was to see them at Liverpool Stadium in 1971......

      @@CharlieMcowan Men don't get me wrong, I agree with that too, He was at times awful in live solos, especially back in the zeppelin days but on this performance of this particular song, his solos are quite beautiful as opposed to the studio version which I find a little more bland.

    Early Robert Plant in Zeppelin (1969 to 1973) was spectacular. Believe he had vocal chord surgery in 1973 and probably never quite regained his original voice status. You might want to check out the 1969 studio version of this song if you have a chance.

    • @charliecoutts3003
      @charliecoutts3003 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Must beg to differ Jon. Plant's voice was at it's zenith on many 'Physical Graffiti' tracks (I know some songs were left over from the HofTH sessions but you know what I mean). Then of course there is 'Achilles' Last Stand' where Percy puts in one of his finest performances..... sitting down too!!

      Agreed. His voice was still good after 73, but his overall range just wasn't the same, especially on the higher end. His voice as mentioned from 69 to 73 was 1 of a kind. Plant is the male version of Janis Joplin IMO.

    Much like the first video of yours that I watched (MJ - Billie Jean 2001) I couldn't keep my eyes from you; so intriguing to see how the music moves you, especially when you break out into a big smile. I see several people criticizing this later version, but I think hearing the older Robert Plant's take on these devotional lyrics is actually quite interesting compared his much younger self. But - that's just me LOL
    If you continue reacting to Led Zeppelin in the future, I'd be curious to see what you think of Ten Years Gone from 1975's Physical Graffiti album. It's not just my favorite song from them, but it's such a perfectly crafted piece of music. There are several different tracks of guitar, almost in an orchestral way and the lyrics tell quite a personal story of having to break away from a relationship to pursue a career as a musician.

Led Zeppelin Thank You has always been my favorite song ever, and I have waited so long for the algorithm's to bring this song into the reaction pool. I will say,, always fancied myself a pretty rough and tuff self sufficient and confident Mountain Man, but when I went to this show, it was so incredible, that emotion took over, and when this song played, i wept! Rebeka.....for your reaction channel, the folks are going to want Zeppelin itself. BUT....you seem to love Robert’s voice......as do I. For your personal enjoyment, keep in mind that Robert has enjoyed a 40 year career post Zeppelin. Listen to songs like Big Log, Ship of Fools, I’m in the Mood......those are all songs from the eighties. In the nineties he and Jimmy did great work together.....This video is from that tour....He did a wonderful collaboration with Allison Kraus in 2007....which resulted in a Grammy winning album of beautiful songs. And in the past decade he has released beautiful songs......such as Rainbow, Stolen Kiss and Season’s song. As he has aged, he of course relies more on his lower register, which as you heard, is melodious, emotive, sometimes tender. For your own enjoyment, if you like his voice here, then check out his solo career...I believe he’s released 11 albums since 1980 when the great Zeppelin died.

    I see the comments about this not being Zeppelin but Jones was not in this unlike other times when he was after a together after 1980.. The original studio version is a more intense version and he had the younger voice then but this one is almost as good .. TANGERINE and THAT'S THE WAY are two studio versions from LZ 3 are recommended ..

    I think I prefer the studio version with the beautiful acoustic guitar intro and solo.

    Battle of Evermore from their 4th album will really give you another perspective of Led Zep. Without giving too much away it's a folk inspired tune that takes you away to another time and place. There is also a guest female vocalist on there. Worth checking out Rebekah👍

    I see some people ragging a bit on the fact this is not Zep . It's a valid point as they are not in their prime here . Anything live at Earls court is very good . There's also Madison Square garden 1973 . I think you would really appreciate going to california earls court 1975 . It's an acoustic number and very beautiful

      They were just correcting her when she stated this was Zeppelin. While this is HALF of zeppelin playing their tunes. Still better than anything else because Zeppelin tunes... but just needed clarification. I listen to both the Page/Plant collab albums from the 90s to this day.

    Please go on a Pink Floyd adventure. I think you will love their relaxing music! "Time" would be a great song to start with.

      Relaxing? That song is terrifying, starting with the alarm at the beginning. I love Floyd, but they are often enough a paranoid bad acid trip.
