I agree, Kashmir from celebration day is a superior version of the song to the other one from Knebworth I believe? That whole concert from 1979 the sound is just so off to me. So much so I would avoid suggesting songs from that concert to react to.

If I remember my history, that this song was Robert's first song that he wrote. Also, when this album came out, I went to the head shop by my place, and there was a piece of cardboard in the window that somebody wrote on it...it's here! Which meant that Led Zeppelin II was in.

Not true of course as there are many great bands all the way to today, but if I had to choose only one band I could listen to for the rest of my life, it would be Led Zeppelin. This is my favorite album of all time...to me it tells the story of meeting someone, falling, getting too deep, realizing you're too deep, heartbreak, then the slow climb back to being yourself. You should review the entire album :)

Blonde, you have GOT to hear "What is and What Shall Never Be", by Led Zep! It's on that Zeppelin II album you are listening to now, on this reaction. It is an amazing song and it's more of a "Pop" tune; that is, you could probably hear it as a single. It's sexy too. You'd love it!
one of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs is the live version of "The Song Remains The Same" from the video of the same name. This song "Thank You" was at the end of a TV series on HBO, it fit so well to the end of the series, no song could have been a better fit.

Probably my favorite zep song. I Bonzos drums are kick ass.... it really hits in the heart, if one has been in a really committed relationship. Also, John Paul Jones, does background vocals in that song.

For everyone suggesting this: this might go out to you. Another very personal thing: about a year ago, I hopped into my car. The end of another working day. Radio was on. (not a common thing for me, living in germany. Most Radio stations here are crappy.) And they played just this song. And I was happy. And I sung along with it. Until the lyrics came to that point: "Happiness! No more be sad." I had to stop the car. Lost all of my vision. Unexpectately, 1 and 1/2 year after my beloved Gail passed away, this one hit me like a hammer. Even while I was singing along, and didn't feel it coming. Even writing this, I think it's dusty in here. A friend from Oregon, in reaction to her death, sent me this (I never thought of this song in this way.
