George is a sick man 😂He applies for the job. Gets the job. Gets the task. But instead of... y'know.. DOING SOMETHING.. he just sits there... looking at the clock. Makes toasts at office parties. He likes to pretend to be an architect. Likes to pretend working... I am beginning to wonder if he understands anything at all 😃😃
It's 2024. I'm old enough that I've been watching this show for over 30 years and when George says "bear in mind I am in the smaller office" it still makes me laugh aloud.
Here’s what I’d do with the Pensky file: 1.) read through the documents and understand what the issue is, what problem we’re trying to solve, who are the key individuals, what is the timeline and when do we need to complete this by. 2.) identify what was the last thing done and what the next steps are. 3.) schedule an introductory meeting with the key individuals to let them know I’d be handling their case and ask them pertinent questions for more info. 4.) schedule weekly or bi-weekly check ins with Pensky to provide an update or to have a discussion around certain questions or approaches. 5.) update Mr Tuttle every week on my status.
Pensky barely looks at the file before heaping praise upon George and chasing that with a half-baked job offer that George takes seriously enough to quit a perfectly good job that he at once didn’t really have and didn’t really try to keep. George is a human tire fire.
Whether it's Penske or Pensky, I like that you spelled it the latter way. It's my mother's last name and my grandfather, rest his soul, was a very grand Mr. Pensky.
Back then I was hired on a job where I was told there alot of stuff to do so expect to be very busy. Then when I got there nobody wanted to familiarize me with their process since they think im there to steal their job. Attended meetings I have no clue about then stared at my screen the whole day doing nothing. Then I realized this must what have George felt like having accomplished nothing. I was also stuck in a smaller office
I don’t know if it’s becuase my earphones are that much better. But at 3:33 where the secretary says Mr Penske is here to see you I can hear a lady in the audience say oh no!
I have this dream on occasion where I’m at this new job somewhere but I have no idea what I’m supposed to be doing. I don’t even know how to fake it but I’m trying to look like I’m doing something. It’s not pleasant. Think it may from watching this episode. So funny.
The truth of the matter is that no one knew what to do with the Penske File, that's why it just kept getting passed over from one person to the next. It basically had all of their legel or illegal dealings and it made people very uncomfortable in sorting through it. George should've like one commenter said sort through the last few pages to get a glance at what they were into. Then started from the the beginning of the file and work his way to the last ten pages that got him intrigued so he can establish a timeline of consistency of what happened of that what was good and what went bad. Then called a meeting with their people and his people to fix any issues that were red flags so the company could avoid legal action or beat the charges that were currently against them. But nope that not what George did. All he did was transfer the file from one crummy folder to an more nicer one. 😂😂
All George had to do at the beginning was phone Tuttle up and thank him for the interview; that’s proper interview etiquette anyway. During the call ask him for an offer letter and a start date. As it was, it wasn’t a company you want to work for anyhow - no one made the slightest effort to onboard or give him any training at all LOL.
I love the line" Sod..y is a prerequisite". Sounds like a modern business environment for certain with all of the " Equity and Inclusion " Initiatives" ( forced indoctrination)
"I enjoy understanding."
😂😂😂 George is the best

@@ziggytonumaa he understands how to pretend ;)
Best
3:28 You can hear someone in the audience say 'oh no'.
😂
😂😂😂😂
Had George opened the Pensky file, he might have learned about their indictments.
Ironically
Sometimes, I lie awake at night wondering what George was supposed to do with the Penske File.
i am aware somebody else made that exact comment four years ago on another pensky video and got 6k upvotes for it
Probably look through it, get a read on their situation, and follow up on any outstanding business.
That's me right now.
Put it in an accordion
Im starting to think you don't understand anything.
I pass Penske trucks all the time and am reminded of this episode.
I do the same!
See a Penske truck and say “ahhh the Penske file”
I always wonder if the driver is truly Penske material.
I just saw one
Bear in mind, he was in the smaller office.
I swear that line always gets me 😂
Best line in that show. Lmao

and its laugh out loud.....
Are you trying to correct him? Laugh aloud is perfectly fine to use in a sentence.
I had forgotten about Elaine's comment at 0:48, foreshadowing what Pensky will tell George at the end!
No wonder the laugh track was louder when Penske annoyed the indictment in the end.
At least sodomy wasn't a prerequisite.
Better than Jerry's comment being foreshadowing! 😅😅

Or ask Jack what to do
@@williamfisher74leave Jack alone. He's got enough problems 😊
Clearly, you are not George😂😂😂
That would only be possible in the larger office though
You didn't put it in a big binder
Who knew George was such a good drummer..
I love George's nervous "you are?" when Tuttle tells him he's surprised to see him.
@@kevinsullwold2388 I think Tuttle intended for him to take the larger office
Elaine called it 😂.
I know someone 😂exactly like George. He looks just like him, Glasses and balding. And he enjoys understanding also.
I love Jerry's "bad" hairdo here.

Odds are he was about to fired anyway, considering the boss wasnt exactly impressed with his work.
"Human tire fire." I'm using that.
@@ianfinrir8724 You’re welcome.

Amazing how all the non Jerry scenes were the funniest and most memorable
That's gold Jerry, gold!
I never noticed Penske practicing his noose 😂😂

Penske chevrolet
Forgive me for asking, but in your opinion, was your late grandfather Pensky material?
The credits for the episode say Pensky and that is how it's supposed to be. No confusions.

@@Ashamed.Loser69 It's actually pretty loud and easy to hear, it's at exactly 3:28. I guess your hearing isn't Pensky material. 😂
Wow Elaine was right 😂
My theory is that no one knows what’s going on and is pretending hoping they don’t get found it

The older I get, the more identify with George

It's sad to see how quick employees are willing to jump ship for more money. There's no loyalty anymore.
You have to jump ship if you are in the smaller office
Lol its a 3 decades old show
