    About Seinfeld:
Seinfeld stars Jerry Seinfeld as a stand-up comedian whose life in New York City is made even more chaotic by his quirky group of friends who join him in wrestling with life's most perplexing, yet often trivial questions. Often described as "a show about nothing," Seinfeld mines the humor in life's mundane situations like waiting in line, searching for a lost item, or the trials and tribulations of dating. Co-starring are Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Jerry's ex-girlfriend and current platonic pal, Elaine Benes; Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Jerry's neurotic hard-luck best friend; and Michael Richards as Jerry's eccentric neighbor, Kramer.

There are times when I feel like George in this situation, and I’ve learned to ask the person giving me information to pause for a bit so I can take a moment to understand the ask and have a moment to write it down.
A boss who says “what’s the matter with you George; you’ve got to pay attention” and results in your employees not knowing the assignment, is a weak boss.

    • @AlphaQHard
      @AlphaQHard ปีที่แล้ว +27

I think a lot of the time bosses are rude or patronizing in these situations is when the employee acts submissive and apologetic. When someone acts vulnerable people with weak slimy characters and more power than them will always try to flex their power because it fuels their ego. If you act confident no matter what you’re a lot less likely to be “picked on” because the same people with weak characters dont like being confronted or stood up to, it damages their ego. Like they say, high school never ends.

This is one of the good longer episodes they did on "Seinfeld". And it's one of at least three stories "Seinfeld" made in which George seems insane to someone.

just think, if George was truthful from the start, told his boss in the bathroom, he was outside waiting for him, came in to check on him, he wouldn't be in that postition. It's a lesson to be learned from watching a fool going through that situation

  • @PassivePortfolios

Typical meetings with the bosses, a waste of time. They just like to hear themselves speak to subordinates and justify their positions in management. When it is time to make the budget cuts, they are the first to go. Shows how irrelevant they really are to the company.

George should have had Jerry call in and say George had an accident, slipped and hit his head on a urinal and he was so fired up about the assignment that he remembers you giving this assignment and he doesn't want to disappoint everyone, I'm calling to inquire about all the details because frankly, George isn't making a lot of sense and he keeps singing about downtown. So if you just give me the details, George will be fine tomorrow and his mind will be at peace... ah huh... I see... the assignment is all in the song? Thank you... thanks. Bye. Well George...

When you're alone and life is making you lonely
    You can always go
    Downtown
When you've got worries all the noise and the hurry
    Seems to help I know
    Downtown
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
    How can you lose?
The light's so much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
    So go downtown
Things will be great when you're
    Downtown
    No finer place for sure
    Downtown
Everything's waiting for you (downtown, downtown)
Don't hang around and let your problems surround you
    There are movie shows
    Downtown
Maybe you know some little places to go to
    Where they never close
    Downtown
Just listen to the rhythm of a gentle bossa nova
You'll be dancing with 'em too before the night is over
    Happy again
The light's so much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
    So go downtown
Where all the lights are bright
    Downtown
    Waiting for you tonight
    Downtown
You're gonna be alright now (downtown)
    Downtown
    Downtown
    Downtown
    Downtown
And you may find somebody kind to help and understand you
Someone who is just like you and needs a gentle hand
    To guide them along
So maybe I'll see you there
We can forget all our troubles, forget all our cares
    So go downtown
Things will be great when you're
    Downtown
    Don't wait a minute more
    Downtown
Everything's waiting for you (downtown, downtown)
    Downtown
    (Downtown)
    Downtown
    (Downtown)
    Downtown
    (Downtown)
    Downtown
    (Downtown)

I always thought the assignment was to get a player from the Mets Organization into the Yankees Organization. Hence going to the payroll department and the "downtown" references. Trading players, free agency, something like that.
