From what I've heard, James shot 2-4 all at once. He's also asked that they do post-production on EVERYTHING he's shot. That's certainly not the norm. Usually wait till after the editing to do all the CGI stuff. But I get it...and at this point you've kinda gotta trust in James Cameron. So if he wants to edit down the movies AFTER the CGI then I say let him. Plus, imagine if he decides to release a Director's Cut version of his Avatar movies. Probably be like 20 hours worth of movies. But at least he'll have that option if he wants it because all the CGI has been done.
@@jimmygreer2140 IMO I think the process he's doing is closer to an animated film than a live action film with some CGI shots. You have to have the story and scenes well nailed down in early stages before pushing forward and Cameron probably has done this so moving to doing the CGI is fine. And like an animated film, there's really no deleted scenes. Sure you can get some stuff with storyboards or previs, but typically you won't have full CGI shots that are deleted.
One theory surrounding Kiri is from a video that i watched is that she is the daughter of Grace and Eywa (sorry if i spelt it wrong). It would make so much sense but it's just a theory though.

I have to disagree with Marketa. The marine biologist who clearly is capable of empathy despite being mildly cowardly is definitely not worse than the giddy hunter who has no remorse for the lives he’s ending.
Not agreeing or disagreeing either point of view, but I think she feels Garvin is worse than Scoresby because Scoresby's type either can't tell the difference between right and wrong or don't care. Garvin, on the other hand, knows how wrong tulkun hunting is, and wishes it didn't exist, and yet he helps them. Yes, he's stuck between a rock and a hard place because without CetOps he can't conduct research and potentially loses a way to help the tulkun and na'vi down the road. But the reality is his work is causing damage to lives now, and as sympathetic as he may be, he has a choice of whether or not to be part of it.
@@TheDoctor2nd Garvin doesn’t really participate in the hunting though. His only roles seem to be advising on various zoological matters, and extracting the brain substance from the Tulkun. They could definitely do the job without him, just less efficiently and probably more sloppily than they do, which might result in greater harm to the environment. Also, Scoresby literally has the same choice as Garvin. He knows about how intelligent the Tulkun are as well as Garvin. And he knows about their bond to the Water People. Someone with no empathy is always worse than someone with empathy imo.
i watched this movie three times in theaters, twice in 3d and once in xd. i’m still amazed by it every time i watch it. definitely one of my favorite movies ever made.

Saw this movie during one of its final months in theatres and witched it back to back with M3GAN. always a joy to spend half of your day in the theater.
The tulkun hunt had me in absolute shambles in the theater. I was barely holding it together. That was the one sequence that kept me from going back to see it in theaters because I knew I would still not be ok on the second watch. When I finally watched it again on digital, I had sat with my feelings long enough I didn't get the deep cathartic cry I needed lol The next time I go to Disney World I'm getting cutom mickey ears made with the dude's arm flying off on one ear and his body on the other and Payakahn on the back!
I saw it twice in theater as well, for the hunting sequence I had to excuse myself, I wasn't going to watch it again. And then watching it at home I fast forwarded that scene.
The whole Amrita thing is the worst possible thing they could be hunting. If it stops human aging, it's only going to mean the humans that take it will make more humans, and it'll make things worse. If anything unobtanium should still be main objective, since they line their ship reactors with it.
Actually I think James is going to make this a 5 piece epic. But he's already shot 2, 3 & 4 all at once. That's one reason why the "Avatar Sequels" rumors have been going on for YEARS because it must've taken like 2 years to film everything. And probably a few more years designing the set pieces. I did get spoiled some when I was looking up the cast. I had to confirm that Kiri was Sigorney Weaver. And I was surprised that Kate Winslet played the water tribe queen. So James really does enjoy working with people he's done work with before. So there are some SLIGHT spoilers below. Michelle Yeoh is going to be in the next one. I really look forward to that. Looks like she'll be playing some scientist type. I hope her character is good, like a colleague of Weaver's character or something, but she's such a great actress that she can play the antagonist as well. And apparently we will be meeting ANOTHER tribe of the Na'vi in the next movie. The Ash Tribe. I had gotten spoiled when I saw that Talissa(?) Chaplin--Robb Stark's wife & the real life great-great(?) grandaughter of Charlie Chaplin--and she'll be the leader of the Ash Tribe. Also, there's a rumor that Vin Diesel is going to be in the Avatar movies. I hope he plays a villain Space Marine. I'm kind of sick of Vin's career being one-note good guy all the time.

I feel like there could have been another reason for the family to leave the forest and go join the water clan. As someone who was a part of the human operation in the first movie, Jake should especially understand that Quaritch and the humans would have designs on taking over the whole planet and that they would hunt them down no matter where they went. That part of the plot was the weakest IMO.
Obviously they'd hunt them down: they shouldn't have told everyone where they were going (otherwise how would anyone know where to find them when they go looking). If they didn't tell anyone where they were going they could've at least added something showing how anyone knew where they were (unless i'm missing something).

38:41 The Battle of the Mountains was in fact because Quaritch was attempting to destroy their most sacred site, the Tree of Souls, which for the Omaticaya (Neytiri's birth tribe) is considered their direct link to Eywa, akin to the Vatican or Mecca. The attack on Hometree was preceded by bulldozers purposefully destroying the Tree of Voices grove, where the Omaticaya can visit the memories of their ancestors and preserve a sort of neural snapshot of their consciousness before undergoing dangerous tasks or challenges. This would be like paving over a holy graveyard. The destruction led to a raid by the Omaticaya in retaliation that gave the RDA precedence to remove the Na'vi from the potential mining site.

really enjoyed the reaction and the conversation after! this was a nice chill group, but still very funny. 😂yeah, this was definitely my favorite movie of the year, and still is tbh. i cried so hard when neteyam died and then again at the end during the funeral and spirit tree scenes. the emotions were super high in this one! best movie i've ever seen in theaters. the actors and everyone who worked on it did a phenomenal job. i'm pretty excited for the third! personally i really want to see more of spider's relationship with neytiri and jake, especially since jake essentially officially adopted spider into the family at the end of this one ("a son for a son"), but as far as we know neytiri still doesn't really like him or consider him family 😓😬 so i hope that dynamic gets at least a little attention in the next sequel.
you can really tell how it's so well made, i love all the connections and little meanings in the movie, i love the detail and how beautifully they portrayed the beauty of the water on pandora, i got so emotionally attached and that's how good it was i love it so much. I sobbed in the sad parts and when i tell you i had to sit and stare at my screen for a long time after i finished the movie just to take deep calming breaths and take it all in. Still mad that the ugly b**ch lived though but at least there's a third movie that we can look forward to HOPEFULLY HE'S GONE FOR GOOD IN THE THIRD MOVIE. im glad i got to watch this sequel because it brings back memories from the first movie which was part of my childhood, the movie, the cinematography, all the characters and animals got my heart
spider had adopted human parents, who betrayed the omaticaya when the humans came back and offered them a plea deal essentially, we won’t kill you if you join us again. this isn’t in the movies, but it is in the comics, which are cannon. the comics also explain who is birth mother was
Why Earth is dying ? Because in Avatar 1, Earth is already dead . There's no more natural environment and animal exist on Earth, over 30 billion people survive with the help of a lot of machines. Human needs the Unobtainium from Pandora to build Fusion reactor and other machines . Jack destroyed the mineral supply make situation on Earth getting worse than ever. That's why Human finally decided to colonize Pandora.
Rana has the most entertaining reactions for this movie. I feel the movie is a great continuation of the series. The focus on the kids was great and new as well as all the water tribe stuff. Cameron and his team really did an awesome job on it. There's not going to be 3 but there's going to be 5 films from what I heard.
Bailey Bass (claudia from Interview with a vampire) on AMC. She plays Tsireya and even has her own dimples added. Also, I'm pretty sure they have at least 5 in total, so I guess( 3 more in the works)
idk this group is too....simple. They just loudly cheer one side without seeing the perspective and growth of others. It was the same for Arcane. Followed since a while ago but prob won't anymore. thanks for the reaction though
Waiting for visual effects technology to catch up to Cameron's vision may be a bit much, but if he can do it, then he can do it. It is preferable to movies hiring vfx companies that will take assignments for cheap, force their workers into working long hours with short timelines for insufficient pay, in order to churn out movie after movie with subpar visual effects.
This franchise is something pretty special. I'm very excited about the third one, however, I think it would make a great trilogy. Anything after I would like to see as a spin-off of some sort and maybe exploring other worlds. I just don't want them to drag it out too long.
It is kinda repetitive: -find a clan -learn their ways -fall in love with the chief’s daughter -tame some cool lone creature Etc.. But the whole family dynamic made it way more enjoyable and real. You are always on edge and worried for the kids. Its endearing to see each of their personalities and even more given one of them died so young. I hope for the next movie we’ll have a different scenario tho
Avatar 3 is fully filmed, but they were supposed to go back and do pick-ups/reshoots this summer (no idea if they got it done before the strike or not). The first act of Avatar 4 was filmed, but the rest of it still needs to be filmed - there is going to be a time jump so they wanted to film the kids before they aged up.
Friendly reminder that sharks are hunted for just their back fin. So it's cut off and the still alive shark thrown back, for maximum efficiency. The movie is very on the nose but it's still not far from our reality.

the third girl is me watching a movie, I just cant stand seeing kids die bro
I saw it in the IMAX 3D and it was amazing!
16:09 Goof?? He saved his mother from immediate death. 16:17 Thank you
spider had adopted human parents, who betrayed the omaticaya when the humans came back and offered them a plea deal essentially, we won’t kill you if you join us again. this isn’t in the movies, but it is in the comics, which are cannon. the comics also explain who is birth mother was
The girl in the blue shirt really went "I don't wanna see this!" and proceeds to take off her glasses, what a queen
Man Neteyam needed to have a better story. Great character but executed a bit bad
4:29 I'm pretty sure he's talking about Treasure Planet.
volcanic, desert, and polar regions have all been confirmed for future movies!
52:33 lol nice view. the editor even zoomed in.
bro chill
Rana has the most entertaining reactions for this movie. I feel the movie is a great continuation of the series. The focus on the kids was great and new as well as all the water tribe stuff. Cameron and his team really did an awesome job on it. There's not going to be 3 but there's going to be 5 films from what I heard.
4:31 i love this part when the good guys are back
5:06. It's the start of a third highest glossing film of all time ❤❤❤❤❤
Bailey Bass (claudia from Interview with a vampire) on AMC. She plays Tsireya and even has her own dimples added. Also, I'm pretty sure they have at least 5 in total, so I guess( 3 more in the works)
I am just feeling sad for you all that you all have not watched this movie on theatres😢😢
idk this group is too....simple. They just loudly cheer one side without seeing the perspective and growth of others. It was the same for Arcane. Followed since a while ago but prob won't anymore. thanks for the reaction though
they are just lefties
Waiting for visual effects technology to catch up to Cameron's vision may be a bit much, but if he can do it, then he can do it. It is preferable to movies hiring vfx companies that will take assignments for cheap, force their workers into working long hours with short timelines for insufficient pay, in order to churn out movie after movie with subpar visual effects.
not him referencing the train in Greece going off tracks 😭
It was so awesome when I first saw this movie on cinemas with the 3d glasses
James Cameron Best of the best,
Avatar Forever....
❤❤❤❤❤
This franchise is something pretty special. I'm very excited about the third one, however, I think it would make a great trilogy. Anything after I would like to see as a spin-off of some sort and maybe exploring other worlds. I just don't want them to drag it out too long.
It is kinda repetitive:
-find a clan
-learn their ways
-fall in love with the chief’s daughter
-tame some cool lone creature
Etc..
But the whole family dynamic made it way more enjoyable and real. You are always on edge and worried for the kids. Its endearing to see each of their personalities and even more given one of them died so young.
I hope for the next movie we’ll have a different scenario tho
This is one of my favourite movies but I think the action was better in the first one
The story was better too
theres going to be actually 5 the next one comes out near the end of next year
Avatar 3 and 4 have been filmed. Avatar 5 is in pre-production. One or more of those stories may take place on other moons of Polyphemus.
I recommend Sam Worthington again in Hacksaw Ridge after this. It's Incredible True Story 👍.
He's barely seen in there. The Last Son was quite good or Fractured and the 2017 series Manhunt.
“Weak human form”
Sounds straight outta anime
This movie single-handedly made me an eco-terrorist
Friendly reminder that sharks are hunted for just their back fin. So it's cut off and the still alive shark thrown back, for maximum efficiency. The movie is very on the nose but it's still not far from our reality.
40:36 McFarlane Toys made figures of all these machines and characters!!! XD Plus: Lego too! ;)
The Whale looking guy is mvp fr, bro destroyed that ship and dodged the rockets like a veteran warrior
Saludos desde Argentina... me encanto su reaccion y esperaba esta pelicula con asias 🔵⚪🔵
Rana sounds even more baked than usual.
long time viewer and i haven't seen rana try this hard in a while. feels like 2020
Rana calling Chloe x Halle (said as Chloe AND Halle) as "Chloe times Halle" is taking me out 😭
I am just gonna see myself out lol - Rana
I loved your reaction guys ❤ the best one i've see. 💙
Still 44 minutes to premiere... Just a question, are you going to react to it for the 1st time Or already watched it in a theatre????
Was brought to your channel by your great reactions to Castlevania. Love it folks.
by 2031 there will (hopefully) be a total of 5 avatar movies
Congrulation for 700k subscribers 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Lol, longtime viewer here, I know discount Adam Scott here has been in other videos but he's more funny and dryly witty here than usual.
"WHEN IS THIS MOVIE GONNA BE OVER?!"💀💀💀
So from mining on an alien world to whaling on an alien world. Well done, James Cameron. Someone call the Sea Shepherds.
i like how the human doesn't hold back now, if they want melt the ground, they can
They can just nuke it
I saw it at the movie theaters and gave James Cameron a big thumbs up to his name in the end credits. XD
HUMANITY FIRST, BURN THE XENOS
They forgot Tukkun is about that life.
I kind of wish that I had seen this in the theater. I streamed it at home and it started to feel long at about an hour in. The pacing of this one is way slower than the first one. It's a gorgeous movie though!
She also motion captures Kiri.
It's called performance capture. There's way more than just capturing the motion.
I love this series i cant wait for the 3rd movie
actually when you find out why they hunt the wheels it makes a lot of sense lol. I don’t understand how y’all don’t get the value of money. Yea it sucks but the world runs on money and always has.
