The expectations being built are too much. The last movie lost 60 million so that trend has to change first. Also every movie was setting up the Thanos story a small amount, everything was slowly evolving in a single direction. Each movie was about an Avengers character and there were 2 amazing Avengers movies setting up a team dynamic. Are they planning on introducing a new team in the big blockbuster finale? They need to start developing a narrative.
Forget Avengers 5 and 6, they need to make an Avengers movie in the next two years to help bring back momentum and anticipation to the franchise. We need to know who the new Avengers are and they need to pick up on Kang/multiverse faster. Having an Avengers movie every 2-3 years during the Infinity Saga helped keep the momentum going.
I really think they need a normal Avengers movie before Secret Wars. There have been so many new heroes in Phase 4 and 5 that they really need a big team up movie with at least some of them before they start bringing in multiverse characters.
Avengers 5 IS the normal one lol. Everything is set up perfectly to where some heroes are aware of the multiverse and some aren't, so when they first universally see an incursion and all start to come together it would have great tension and would have made sense for Kang to be seemingly in control. Then in Avengers 6, Doom reveal, Black Swans vs Black Priests, Doom reveals it was all to challenge the Beyonders, who not even Strange was aware of since they're more science based. The multiversal variants were barely a plot point, just fun juxtaposition for our 616 heroes like when they found an earth who didn't want to sacrifice 616 either so Namor took matters into his own hands. I'd argue that Captain America : Civil War was a WAY better "Avengers" movie than Avengers: Age of Ultron. Considering Civil War introduced both Black Panther and Spider-Man, a World War Hulk film could really be the platform Marvel needs to get fans to emotionally invest in some of the new heroes such as Sentry, IronHeart or Nova.
Just make Doctor Strange the big bad, we've seen how that would be in What If and we all love it, switch it up a bit, and boom,they already said Dr Strange is the biggest threat to the multiverse

I want Tom Holland's Symbiote Spiderman and Daredevil taking on Kingpin. I want Daredevil to come across an infinity stone and it be the only thing he can see clearly. I want She Hulk to have a soft reboot in the Daredevil post credit scene. I want Mutants fighting for their rights as citizens. I want X-Men and the New Avengers teaming up. I want Scarlet Witch and New Vision to join them in a fight against Magneto and the brotherhood. I want James McAvoy as Onslaught. I want everything to culminate and wrap up in one big bow after about three new sagas. Give us another 20 to 30 new movies/shows and then wrap it up.
If they do it right it is going to be CRAZY!!!! I mean we could even get a Thanos that is helping them similar to the reformed Thanos from the What If T'Challa became Starlord episode. I hope we get a lot of Multiversal teams jumping in; A 1602 team, a Mutant team, characters from Old Man Logan, Earth-X, Age of Apocalypse, a Young Avengers team, a M2 team, 2099 team, Noir team, team of villains (maybe Sony allows a Sinister Six cameo... considering No Way Home reformed a lot of the villains). Bring in Eternals, Inhumans, Agents of SHIELD, Runaways w/Cloak & Dagger, New Mutants, Midnight Sons, Ultimates, Symbiotes and more. And of course there is always the option that fans could vote on their favorites and we can see the TVA pluck characters out of the timeline at the moment of their deaths to form "Exiles" teams to help repair the Multiverse.

One way to calibrate for an unfamiliar Avengers team/characters is to write into the dialogue backstory anecdotes. "You and I remember Bhudapest differently" style. Give us those little moments and it'll give us a sense that they've been around, together, being the Avengers. Reference the canon and ppl will buy the books to find out what actually happened.
I want Secret Wars to be amazing and it kind of Needs to be, if it can’t do better then End Game and I’m not talking bout how much it makes in the theater, I’m saying it Absolutely Needs to be an Original movie that isn’t a rehash of the Infinity Wars, cause if it tries that’s the End of the MCU for at least 2-3 years, and then a new one will be brought in but they would literally be starting from the beginning, Everything would need a origin story, No characters would be familiar, etc.

Honestly it is gonna be a mess. Lightening will NOT strike twice. Same with Star Wars. Not even Filoni will save Star Wars. Both IP's have hired writers/directors that care more about the current political mess and not about writing good stories. What we all want is not what Disney Marvel and Star Wars want.

I really wish they would just sell the Franchise off. Making the Beyonder a kang variant is just LAME.... In comics Kang was always b rate villain. Based off what I've seen that would be generous in the MCU. Their ability for character and plot development is horrible in recent years. I hope this manufactured hype is to try and prop up the IP to sell it off. That would be good news. Sorry to be negative just not seeing it anymore.

I want to see the Silver Surfer cruising through black holes warping space with his speed. I want Doom/Fantastic 4 fighting across multiple demensions. I want Tom Holland's Symbiote Spiderman and Daredevil taking on Kingpin. I want Daredevil to come across an infinity stone and it be the only thing he can see clearly. I want She Hulk to have a soft reboot in the Daredevil post credit scene. I want Mutants fighting for their rights as citizens. I want X-Men and the New Avengers teaming up. I want Scarlet Witch and New Vision to join them in a fight against Magneto and the brotherhood. I want James McAvoy as Onslaught. I want everything to culminate and wrap up in one big bow after about three new sagas. Give us another 20 to 30 new movies/shows and then wrap it up.

I hope we get a lot of Multiversal teams jumping in; A 1602 team, a Mutant team, characters from Old Man Logan, Earth-X, Age of Apocalypse, a Young Avengers team, a M2 team, 2099 team, Noir team, team of villains (maybe Sony allows a Sinister Six cameo... considering No Way Home reformed a lot of the villains). Bring in Eternals, Inhumans, Agents of SHIELD, Runaways w/Cloak & Dagger, New Mutants, Midnight Sons, Ultimates, Symbiotes and more.
And of course there is always the option that fans could vote on their favorites and we can see the TVA pluck characters out of the timeline at the moment of their deaths to form "Exiles" teams to help repair the Multiverse.
Fiege needs to spend less time imagining cool crescendo scenes and more time writing a good story with a decent plot and fleshed-out characters.
Exactly, I don't want a huge battle scene with all of these characters just for the sake of a crazy battle, I want the whole story to actually matter. The journey is a huge part of why we care about the destination
The Marvels is about Kamala meeting her idol, getting rejected, seeing the real effects of war, training with said idol, failing their mission and losing a friend seemingly forever lol but people don't want to acknowledge that nuance because women led films bad, they want the original Avengers back even though Tony canonically died lol
The general audience does not want unique stories, they want their expectations confirmed

One way to calibrate for an unfamiliar Avengers team/characters is to write into the dialogue backstory anecdotes. "You and I remember Bhudapest differently" style. Give us those little moments and it'll give us a sense that they've been around, together, being the Avengers. Reference the canon and ppl will buy the books to find out what actually happened.
I want Secret Wars to be amazing and it kind of Needs to be, if it can’t do better then End Game and I’m not talking bout how much it makes in the theater, I’m saying it Absolutely Needs to be an Original movie that isn’t a rehash of the Infinity Wars, cause if it tries that’s the End of the MCU for at least 2-3 years, and then a new one will be brought in but they would literally be starting from the beginning, Everything would need a origin story, No characters would be familiar, etc.
