This is insane, yellow to black in fifteen minutes with one pick set, and one set of tensioners. The tensioners are definitely interesting, particularly the bok with that bend, definitely unique. Thanks again. sir 👍
I’m from Hawaii been doing this for years but I recently got the reaper picks and they’re amazing. I just like to say the video is good and very educational. Thank you. I’ll be watching more.
Well that was easy 😆. New speed pick record for white to black there. This set is one of four brands that uses engineering to create strength and artistic form. It is the first CI set I think I will actually buy. As you said great profiles and all you need made with a bit of flair. Add the Moki Jack knife and you have all you need for the bulk of locks. Thanks Jim ✌🏻🌶
Thanks, yeah I really like the profiles and didn’t have any issues using them or notice any added flex or any negative effect of the cutout/choil on the underside of the picks.
Nice, I really like the hooks. The tok turners are nice and stable but slightly shorter than the regular tok bars from CI. I really like the bok tensioners and find the added angles give more room to work.
I usually avoid buying fluff or stuff that I already have ... but that set seems worthwile. The tensioners are the main reason - though the picks seem interesting too. Great Video and picking, as always!
@@JustAnotherLockpicker the tok are nice but the bok are a very nice improvement from traditional bok tensioners. The hooks are well rounded and I didn’t feel like i needed to adjust or find a work around to pick anything
I love it Jim! Finally, a handful of picks (all that's needed mostly, ever) we can tell new pickers to buy. They will have a reliable source and what looks to be excellent quality. While I did buy the Genesis Set, wasn't particularly impressed with it because it came with only two hooks. But I try to remember that CI put that together to meet a market that not all of use fall into. Great review.
@@Loose-Shirt6551 agreed. The genesis is a beginner set of hooks for someone to build a foundation on, and for that it’s a good set. While I like the versatility of the Echelon it was rake heavy for a picker like me who mainly spp’s, but also wasn’t designed with a single pin picking focus. I think this is the best offering from CI for people who spp exclusively.
My favorite part about Covert Instruments and why I always recommend them to new pickers in the US is that as their business grows, their stuff is less and less frequently out of stock. It's clear to me that when they make money, they invest it into keeping things going smoothly for everyone! The only issue is that I can't recommend their stuff to people from outside the US because after the infamous "Shipping Shitfest," they have to charge extra to have every international shipment be insured.
@georgiajim2260 I've seen a lot of hatred toward CI with people complaining about what they think should be sold. Yet I don't see any of them making tools, lol. People are ridiculous.
I have been checking C.I. multiple times a day, along with my email. I really want the turning tools and 2 of the picks.. and the stealth grey case if it is still coming with them. After you see this you can’t hate on the picks. lol I hate it when people give bad comments about tools and they probably have zero skill. I will definitely buy those. Covered instruments is a great company. They have done a lot for the Lockport community and hobby. It just seems like a very well put together group of guys that have formed an awesome company. You can go ahead and drop mine in the mail three sets one to carry on to look at and for the bench. Georgia Jim, always a good job picking and a great review. I definitely see why someone would reach out to you. Amazing skill. I’d like to buy a couple classes off you lol how much and location?😂
@@dascue777 people just like to find things to complain about. It’s a solid set imo, and I’ll be adding these hooks to the echelon set to round it out.

There hasn't been any innovation in tensioners for a very long time. These tensioners are going to be what sets this pick set apart from all others. The design is very well thought out. Finally having TOK that don't fly out the lock all the time will make picking a lot less stressful. These tensioners will be copied by locksporters who want good stable TOK. The slick lines of the picks and tensioners are really eye catching. A really good demonstration picking all those types of locks with this set. Thanks for doing this review.
Damn Bro 🤯, you are such an inspiration to other lock pickers! Only problem is you make it look so easy… lol. Huge fan of the new turning tool profile design.

Okay, you might have convinced me to "pick" one up (xD) Mostly because those BOK Z Bars look like a clear improvement over the regular z bar designs, and the TOK look like an improvement too. The hooks don't seem revolutionary, but it's nice to have them all in one set!
