watching this in 2018 to start learning how to draw/sketch! this is my first time going through your channel so i’m so glad to see the start here and see where you are now!
Well, even though I knew some of the basics of drawing from a friend, I have become so much better in not even a week thanks to this channel, I have to say that ever since I started watching Dazza's video I've been drawing ~5-6 hours each day, and ~1-2 hours drawing (using a mouse) in flash to get used to the program until I get a tablet. I highly recommend these videos, keep practicing and keep up the good work!
I wouldn't say Wacom is particularly well made, we just don't have anything better to compare it to. My Intuos lasted less than a year before the internal cable socket stopped working. The only way I solved this problem was getting a third party universal charger, which voided the battery's warranty. I would have gotten a Wacom brand charger, but they don't make one! This has been a fairly common problem for them from what I found on forums. I love Wacom, I just wish they had some competition to pressure them into keeping high standards.
Watching this now amazingly shows how Jazza has grown as a content creator. He was already amazing but nowadays you just the enormous amount of confidence he gained and how much more fluent and energetic he has become. Just love this man!

Theres another great free program for both animating and art which is Firealpaca. I really recommend this because i've seen many youtubers use it and its great!
gimp just has become a thing quite lately... it was good then too but the professionals didnt knew about it because it just makes no sense to search for free noname programms when you have photoshop... It stopped being noname just some years ago

GIMP is also a good freeware alternative to Photoshop. I use it all the time, and I never get tired of it. As for a freeware Flash alternative for Mac OSX Mavericks, I just can’t seem to google that one.

People can draw pretty amazing stuff in Adobe Photoshop. I use it and it's bloody amazing, though I do hear some great stuff from PT Sai, I'll give it a try ^-^
There's a free photo editing program called paint.net, which is basically a better version of paint that you can download free on the internet. You have for example: layers in paint.net, and for me, it was easy to understand, easier than Photoshop, but you don't have all the same tools. So for starters with a very low budget, I would recommend paint.net instead of ms paint
I can see why people would call it trashy. Most of it's tools are garbage, and there are no way to set button shortcuts. But it is a better paint, which is quite easy to understand
Does anyone have a good free alternative to Flash? I'd buy it if I had the money, but it's too darn expensive for me. I've tried using Pencil, but it has a lot of problems that make it really annoying to use. I'd mostly be doing frame by frame animations with it.

You can't even buy JUST flash anymore, you have to pay a monthly subscription -.-
idk if u have got a program already but there are vids on how to get flash and photoshop for free, im using them for free right, and they update perfectly. been like almost a year and no problems :D

For that matter, now Blender supports 2D vector animation, though I'm not really sure how it compares with -Flash- Adobe Animate.

You might want to add gimp with GPS (Gimp Painting Studio) to the list of photoshop alternatives. It might not be powerful enough for advanced users, but it has more than enough for beginners like me.
for people who are beginners i suggest you animate with fire alpaca for those that don't know it's really simple and easy to get right into practing your animations! and it's free and fire alpaca can also make just art... and not just animations...

If you don't use a pad you might want a scanner or a printer/scanner. It puts what you draw/doodle by hand on the computer. I also love my scanner... :)

Time can't be spent wisely or wasted, because there's no point to doing anything considering you're going to die. So you may as well do whatever you want, so long as it doesn't impede on other's doing whatever they want. So if you enjoy drawing to the degree in which you would like to invest that time in to it, then yes, do that.
