Just want to thank you for all of these in depth lessons, every video is so well made it feels illegal to watch for free, I've just recently been testing out 2D animation and you've been the biggest help. Thanks mate!
Everytime I feel anxious before starting my animations, I open your channel and watch a few videos, even if they are unrelated to what I'll be drawing they still give me lots of motivation and calm my nerves.. Neverrrr stop making videos 😭😭😭😭
Thanks for being candid about not using the dots. The dots are the bones of the slime. While drawing characters, we don't depict the bones but consider them as structures beneath.
Thank you for continuing to post videos despite being busy. Honestly, I thought the last we'd see of you is your fantastic beginner series but your continual output should bring about a vibrant community of animators! I was sceptical at first, but after watching this, I'm excited to try it out!
THIS IS SUCH AN AWESOME TUTORIAL!! i saved this video into 'watch later' like 2 weeks ago, what I was not expecting tho was how absolutely PACKED with so many useful tips it would be! It's like being a beginner artist and watching the first drawing tutorials and it's like your mind opens to so many new things, thats what I felt while watching this video! it completely blew me away and things were explained in a fun way too. you are awesome. Thank you so muchh for making this tutorial, can't wait to apply these methods!
This came out at such a perfect timing because I’m currently working on a late submission for a flip-book project and I chose to animate a lil blob of slime for it. Thank you for the great tips!!
Just want to thank you for all of these in depth lessons, every video is so well made it feels illegal to watch for free, I've just recently been testing out 2D animation and you've been the biggest help. THANK U SIR
I absolutely love this! Thank you so much! As a motion graphics designer who *barely* gets to do frame animation (and has Dreams on my iPad that I've been just dying to use), quick exercises like this are perfect. For some reason, I have in my head that if I'm not making Ferngully every time I sit down then I might as well not sit.
I liked/thumbs up the video early on and I wanted to like it a second time, when you mention "the dots are so important, but the teacher isn't using them". Really appreciate the real world approach plus explanation of why you don't use them (as often) when animating for real♥
I really love the way you taught this and i feel confident in my ability to recreate this method to animate slime for the first time on my own pretty well :) i also love that at the end of the last scene u animate when the slime is about to jump off screen the recoil back looks like the slime is looking back and forth before deciding to jump off screen like its trying to be sneaky. It creates a story in my mind for it. Love the way you do your lessons and it really helps me feel confident in learning and perfecting animation so thank you so much. Especially for making these resources free
Although i do wish i got a homework assignment at the end, i figure i could just do my own slime scene the way you did but i do want to say i enjoy the homework assignments! It helps me get an idea on what i can do to help practice the skills youve showcased in the video
That's pretty cool, very interesting. I was doing "slime animation" on my own when I was younger for some cool effects but I never knew how it was called haha.
Another way I like to think about the wave animation is, the concave side is a bowl, and the mountainous side is pushing huge amounts of water into it, transferring its energy
12:11 Im glad you pointed this out especially i often see these in tutorials without further explanation. Now, its all clear and makes sense. Thank you!
"From a professional stand point this is still a little bit rough but for this exercise it I think its totally fine." I'm not a professional (not even hobbyist, but someone interested in one day doing some) and I'd love to learn what it could be even better. I mean, beyond the point you made about the energy/force moving the slime.
Good question :) cleanup generally has to look very consistent unless the design calls for wobbles. So my line tapers and small messy artifacts would need to be cleaned up. Also I might consider doing it on ones (at 24fps). I debated talking about frame rate in the video but I thought it might distract.
Wow, this was such an excellent tutorial. So well explained and so approachable. I've been wanting to develop my animation skills but felt so intimidated by all the tools and techniques to learn. Breaking down such complex motion like this in the bite size way you do has been so inspiring. I'm purchasing another iPad soon and looking forward to trying your full course. Thanks so much for sharing.
Bought your course as soon as saw this video!! Cleared so many questions I had for procreate dreams in my mind, I wish to see much advance animation courses from you in future too if it's possible. Especially about complete animation production workflow in procreate..
I appreciate the moment you took to bring back in the real life observations! Reminds me of one of my favorite animator quotes, from Art Babbitt: "An animator is a student of everything that might or does exist." ~
Your Animation for Anyone videos are fantastic! I hope they reach to more people, :) I've learned a lot from them and got super hype to create more animations 🙏
Thank you so much for your videos! Love the way you explain things. I am a long time user of Procreate and just downloaded Procreate Dreams to play around, and found your channel when looking for tutorials. This is so helpful - Thanks again!
Thank you for putting this together and sharing! I've been doing the magic dot for months and it really helped me understand spacing more but I wanted more of a challenge , this is exactly what I needed hah.
This is very interesting, thank you a lot ! I'm gonna have to try doing that. It's cool because after being started there's always the option to add your own twist to the slime. It's the first time I see this channel, now I have to check all the other videos. Thanks, I wish everyone an awesome day !
Haven't started, yet, exhausted. Bunch of tutorials that loses my creativity, especially with digital works. I just don't know what should I get particular about with animating. I just want to draw, but, here comes the modern techniques everywhere.Great artists I watch and listened to,but, still,I can't get it all through my head. Maybe, because, I don't want to. Anyway, nice I came across your channel at 7:47 a.m.Been drawing since 6 years old, but, haven't progressed, at all😂.I still draw, why not. This is a passion I wouldn't forget to spend time on.
Thanks for making these videos! I have been looking for a way to spice up my videos and I am starting to add some minor animations to my vlogs, I'm starting off as simple as I can make it and gradually work my way up to more intricate animations.
You make everything so simple & clear , does anyone similar channel like this which have full course from basic to advanced And do suggest me which program is best for animation,:)
Absolutely love your lessons ! I had a question regarding drawing tablets. Would you have a recommendation for one that's not too expensive and suitable for a beginner ? Thank you and keep up the great work !
Really Really appreciate for making this video my bad I'm late i was busy so i couldn't be i watched the full video and can u make more about 2dfx it's a request about all 😊
How much ram does your iPad Pro have? I am considering the 8gb version to save some money, but I’m worried that it won’t be enough memory to do animations.
Awesome, this is great to know, thank you! And thanks for the great videos! I asked this question on another one of your videos, you can disregard that, haha
I REAAAAALY appreciate your knowledge plus you share what yu got. Thanks for that. Quick question- I purchased a wacom and thinking what tools to include on my workflow. I have All adobe products, Clip studio paint, Krita, blender etc. Goal is to learn animation. Can you help a lil bit here?
I actually thought about spilling water all over my kitchen and recording it but didnt wanna get introuble by my mom lol 😂😂 🤣♊️‼️☝️☝️🤦🏻♀️ shed be like wtf you doin 😅 😈☠️☠️😹
Do i need an epic moustache to animate better
Yes.
Absolutely
Yes
Yep guess thats why my animations are bad
Yes you do, we all do.
Fantastic lesson! Such a great way to combine so many fundamental concepts into one fun practice.
Love your course on Dreams!
Thanks guys! So lovely to hear that :)

Haha thanks so much. I was just going to talk a bit about my Procreate commission but then things go out of hand.
This was we can do in mobile

Haha yeh. Dots, goo, lil dudes made of goo. All great stuff to practice with. I'm glad you enjoyed
Phenomenal teacher. You're helping out so many animators/animators to be!

great video!
Make more videos, I have seen all 👌👌🤩🤩
Nice!
I MISS YOU SO MUCH
Thanks
Could you make a video on animating effects like water , fire , air , smoke ,etc.
Hopefully! But slime is the best place to start because it uses all the same physics but doesn't have as much detail so it's easier to draw
@@AlexGriggAnimation ok I'll practice slime for now
Thank you
Thank you sir❤
This revolutionized how "other" stuff can be animated beside slim.
Rule34 artists should take notes
this is a lovely tutorial, but I can't access the resources on your website, it says url not found? 😢
How much ram does your iPad Pro have? I am considering the 8gb version to save some money, but I’m worried that it won’t be enough memory to do animations.
mine is the 512gb M2 Ipad pro, so it has 8gb of ram. Those 1Tb and 2Tb ipad pro's are a real step up in price hey.
Awesome, this is great to know, thank you! And thanks for the great videos!
I asked this question on another one of your videos, you can disregard that, haha
Can you recommend easy using program for animating?i use photoshop i think its time to change that😬
That’s enough motivation for now.
If you have Adobe, Adobe animate is a good place to start. I have a tutorial on my channel:)
The slime is reminding me of Venom
